The scroll instructed her to continue advancing with her subordinates, adhering to the original plan.

After learning that the enemy included a formidable individual like Night Star Uchiha, issuing such an order was equivalent to sending her and her team to their deaths.

Had Yagura, the Mizukage, lost his mind?

Taking a deep breath, determination flashed in Mei Terumi's eyes.

"Where exactly was the location where Mangetsu's unit was annihilated?"

The Mist Ninja, puzzled by the question, instinctively pointed in a direction.

In the next moment, Mei Terumi's figure disappeared in a flash, heading full speed in that direction, leaving behind a single command.

"Everyone, stay here and wait until I return!"

Mei Terumi had realized that if things continued this way, not only would she herself be in danger, but all of Mist Village's ninjas would lose their lives on the battlefield due to Mizukage Yagura's irrational decisions.

For the sake of the Mist Village's future, she had to take a gamble.

"Brother Night Star, look..."

At Shisui's words, Night Star turned his head and spotted Konan hiding behind a tree not far away. Only her head peeked out as she stared at him intently.

"She's been following us the whole way. Could she be a spy sent by Mist Village?"

Facing Shisui's question, Night Star had no answer.

He couldn't understand why, with the current Akatsuki organization down to just two members (not counting Tobi), Konan, as the head of Akatsuki's human resources, wasn't busy recruiting talent.

Why was she tailing him instead?

Was the plan to gather the Tailed Beasts impossible without him?

"You guys keep moving forward. I'll catch up later."

Night Star gave this instruction before turning and heading toward Konan's direction.

To his surprise, she made no move, standing obediently as if waiting for him to approach and ask her questions.

"What's the matter?"

Konan's expression remained as cold as ever, but she spoke in a low voice.

"Join the Akatsuki."

Night Star furrowed his brows and impatiently waved her off.

"Even if you ask a hundred times or a thousand times, my answer won't change. Forget about it."

Konan bit her lip slightly and nervously said, "Join the Akatsuki, and... I'll wear a swimsuit for you to see."
