Chapter 3: CH: 03 Captain America
[Chapter: 3 Captain America]
On a dirty road with dust flying off, a large car was driving wildly, leaving a large trail of dust.
The car came to an abrupt stop as a man, cussing in two different languages, came forward. "What the hell?? Do you want to die, you bitch?? Want me to....."
While he was saying that, William burst into a cackle, angering the man even further.
"Get fucked, bitch!!!" The fat man punched towards William, not knowing what was going to happen to him.
William easily dodged the clumsy punch, which lacked any power. He caught the hand, put it above his shoulder, and pulled down hard.
Crack!!!! A crisp sound came as a few bones in the fat guy's hand broke.
"Aaarrgghhhh!!!!"
His face wrinkled up as he gave a wailing cry, but William didn't let him go yet.
"Get fucked?? Wasn't that what you said?? Let's see if you can ever fuck again!!!"
William's eyes flashed red with ruthlessness as he delivered a full-powered upper kick into the man's crotch.
Not once, but twice.
The man yelled on the first and almost passed out on the second one. Both his hands—one broken and one not—covered his crotch as he could feel that his eggs were cracked open.
There's no use for morality or honor; they are just tools that make your image clear in front of the world. The same thing can be achieved by strength and power.
William kicked the fat man off, then got in the car and started the engine.
"Thanks, Bacon," William said as he drove the car away.
The dust that rose up due to the exhaust and tires flew towards the man wailing on the ground. He stretched his good arm toward the leaving car, hoping to stop it, but the dust just made him cough wildly.
In the car, William said lightheartedly as he listened to the music on the radio, "I'm really kind. As a villain, I just took his car and did not kill him."
"Steve Rogers should be in New York right now," he mused as the radio announced that the World Expo was going to be held tomorrow. "Don't worry, I'll be there." William smiled a bit and pushed the accelerator all the way, causing the car engine to reach its limits as it drove quickly, crossing a board that read, [New York: 120 Miles].
---
Contrary to other places in the world during this second great war, the luxurious large pavilion was lit up with excitement as the recording played continuously while people entered.
"Welcome to the World Expo tomorrow: a stronger world, a better world."
A lot of people gathered around a stage, many smiling and applauding for the people on it. There was a car on the booth, and five beautiful American girls stood in front of the car in mini skirts and tight tops in sparkly colors.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the new pioneer in the technology world!! Mr. Howard Stark!!!" A smooth voice of a lady sounded as a man entered the stage.
William stood in the crowd, watching a man come out of the background. "Howard Stark. He's the father of Iron Man: Tony Stark, isn't he?"
'Like father, like son; their appearances match each other.'
Howard Stark walked out, kissed one of the girls first, then wiped his mouth with a tissue and took the mic in his hands. "Ladies and gentlemen, if I tell you that just a few years from now, your car will never have to hit the ground again."
William didn't listen to Stark's babbling anymore. The car not needing to touch the ground had nothing to do with him.
He looked at the people next to him: a soldier and a dwarf. Steve Rogers, a future Captain America, and Bucky Barnes, a future Winter Soldier.
William glanced toward the future Captain America, Steve Rogers, who was really thin now, almost like a teen with malnutrition.
Steve took out a packet of fries and passed it to the woman in front of him, but the woman just gave him a scornful glance and left.
Perhaps he noticed William's gaze and smiled awkwardly while looking at him, then glanced at a recruiting office and left suddenly.
William grinned and followed Steve without making him suspicious.
A soldier stood on a low platform looking at himself in the mirror. A man pulled him away, saying, "Let's go, soldier."
Steve also stepped up, only to see his forehead visible in the mirror. Steve shook his head and walked down.
William stepped up and looked at himself in the mirror. "I really look good. Should I join the army or not?"
Steve looked at William enviously and said, "If I were you, I would definitely join the army."
"Really? That's really regrettable," William smiled strangely. "Steve, you will become great one day in the future. I am sure of it."
William walked away. Now was not the time to kill Steve. With so many soldiers here, William couldn't escape, plus the security here was extra tight; many higher-ups from the military were here on a visit.
And our hero hadn't become a hero yet. William didn't know if he would get villain points or not.
Steve looked at William's back and froze. "How does he know my name?"
"Hey, Rogers, how did you get here? Would you like to try again?" Bucky came over and asked, aka the Winter Soldier.
In the conversation between Steve and Bucky, an old man with gray hair and round glasses looked at Steve. This person was either some old folk or Dr. Abraham Erskine, whom William was searching for.
After talking for a while, Bucky gave Steve a "brotherly tap" on the back as he left. Steve, however, continued his mission to join the army and went into the booth. He had already tried five times before.
Twenty minutes later, Steve walked out of the recruiting camp with glee and said cheerfully, "I passed, ah," attracting strange looks around.
After Steve left, Dr. Erskine looked at Steve's back and muttered, "Maybe it's you."
"Maybe? Oh, Dr. Erskine!!!" A voice came from behind the doctor.
He turned around and looked at William with a weird smile pasted on his face as he said, "You are??"
"I am a person who admires you and your great work, especially in the medical field!!" William smiled. "If fate wants it, we'll meet again someday," he said as he disappeared into the crowd.
---
Ten days later.
"This is it, Utopia Avenue, 73rd Street, Queens." William stood in front of a house, walked up, and knocked on the door.
At night.
Dr. Erskine returned to his home, which was completely dark. "Karen, why don't you light up?? It's not like we need to save electricity; the bills are covered by the government already."
"You are funny, Doctor," a voice came.
Dr. Erskine quickly turned on the light and looked at the sofa in the living room. A man had his back to him, drinking wine.
"Who are you?" Dr. Erskine walked over and asked. This was not the time to panic. After all, he had experienced the world; there was little that he feared.
"Doctor, you are really a noble person," William said as he turned his head around.
"It's you!!!!"
"It's me." William stood up and looked at the wine in the glass. "This wine is quality, and the taste is good. Doctor, do you want a glass?"
There was a flash of anger in the doctor's eyes as he said, "This is my wine? Where is Karen? Who are you?"
"Doctor, don't get excited; say it slowly. You are old; excessive blood pressure is a thing." William put one hand on the doctor's shoulder as he took another gulp from the wine glass.
