Chapter 66: Ch 66: Home
After defeating Ornstein, I couldn't resist picking up his spear. The Dragon Slayer Spear — an iconic weapon that screamed power and elegance. It felt right in my hands, and with my Taskmaster template, I quickly learned how to replicate Ornstein's movements. The thrusts, charges, and even his lightning-infused throws were now part of my arsenal.
Of course, being me, I couldn't stop there. I etched runes onto the spear, ensuring it would return to me after being thrown. Cool, right? Well, let's just say I accidentally shocked myself once or twice while practicing with it... but hey, we don't talk about that.
---
Time had flown by in this world of Dark Souls. I wasn't sure what month it was anymore, but one thing was clear — it was time for another gacha spin!
With a grin, I opened the system and hit the [Spin] icon three times. The wheel spun, and I eagerly awaited my prizes. The results?
[Creation]
[Destruction]
[Imagination]
These were also one of those mysterious items I had been collecting over time, and now I had the full set.
The system interface popped up with a new notification:
[Would you like to combine the set?]
Well, of course, I clicked yes! Who wouldn't?
---
As soon as I confirmed the combination, a glowing orb materialized in my hand. It was pure white, radiating a mind-boggling amount of energy. Honestly, it felt like holding an infinite power source — like I could create an entire world with just a thought.
Another notification appeared:
[Place the orb to create your universe.]
Now, here's where things got tricky. I had two options:
1. Place the orb here in Lordran, tearing apart the fabric of this world to make space for my own universe.
2. Place it inside my magical suitcase from the Harry Potter world, which I'd been steadily expanding using my [Maths] skill.
I wasn't about to destroy Lordran (even if it's a dying world). So, I chose option two.
---
Opening the suitcase, I was greeted by the sight of Garuda. That lazy bird was sprawled out, staring at my Nexus phone screen. He'd been obsessed with watching videos ever since we got here.
"Seriously?" I rolled my eyes. "You're supposed to be my companion, not a couch potato."
Garuda glanced at me but didn't move.
"Out," I said, pointing outside the suitcase. "I've got something important to do."
With a huff, he flapped his wings and flew out, muttering something about needing more snacks.
Once the suitcase was empty, I carefully placed the glowing orb inside. The moment it touched the interior, the energy surged, expanding the suitcase's dimensions even further.
The orb hovered in the center, radiating light, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride.
---
Watching the orb settle into place, I realized something monumental — I was now the creator of a universe. A blank canvas, ready for me to shape as I saw fit.
Ideas began swirling in my mind. Should I create civilizations? Populate it with mythical creatures? Establish a world where magic and technology coexisted? The possibilities were endless.
But first, I needed to ensure stability. Using my runes and seals, I reinforced the suitcase's structure to handle the growing universe inside. It wouldn't do to have my personal dimension collapsing on itself.
After securing everything, I found Garuda perched on a rock, still sulking.
"Hey," I called out. "Come check this out."
He reluctantly flew over, peering inside the suitcase.
"What is that?" he asked, tilting his head.
"Our own universe," I said proudly.
Garuda blinked. "You... made a universe?"
"Yep."
He stared for a moment before letting out a low whistle. "You humans never cease to amaze me."
I grinned. "Thanks. Now, want to help me design it?"
Garuda's eyes lit up with curiosity. "Design? Like, we get to decide what goes in there?"
"Exactly."
---
Standing in the vast white void with the glowing orb in front of me, I felt something shift inside. The connection between me, the orb, and my weapons became crystal clear. I wasn't just holding power — I was the power in this space. My universe, my creation. It was all connected to me: my soul, my strength, and even my purpose.
Excalibur and Rhongomyniad felt different, stronger. Their restrictions lifted. No more waiting for the "right conditions" —if someone threats this Universe or In sense me, I could wield them at full power. And that made sense. Here, I was everything: the beginning, the end, and all that lay between.
Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and imagined what I wanted this space to become.
---
When I opened my eyes, the white void beneath my feet had transformed into lush green grass. A gentle breeze swept across the endless plains, making the grass sway like waves in an ocean. I knelt down and ran my fingers through it. It felt real, alive.
Satisfied with the start, I decided to keep going. I waved my hand, and towering mountains rose in the distance. Rivers carved through the land, flowing into shimmering lakes. Deserts stretched across the horizon, their sands shifting with the wind. In the north, icy glaciers formed, sparkling under an unseen sun.
I wasn't just creating a world — I was creating life.
Garuda flew up wanting to explore the world I had created
As I stood on my newly formed grassland, I summoned Wall-E from my inventory. The little robot rolled out.
I placed my hand over his chest and focused on the orb's energy.
"Let's give you a soul," I murmured.
Why did I do it? Honestly, I wasn't sure. Maybe it was curiosity. Maybe it was loneliness. But the moment I did, Wall-E's eyes lit up in a way they never had before. His movements became more animated, more alive.
"Hello, Wall-E," I said with a smile.
He tilted his head, processing my words, before replying in his iconic robotic voice, "Eee-va?"
I laughed. "No, not Eva. But we'll find her someday."
---
Inspired by Wall-E's newfound spark, I continued shaping the world. I created forests filled with towering trees, their leaves rustling in the wind. Birds took flight, their songs filling the air. I added animals, from deer grazing in the meadows to wolves prowling the forests. Insects buzzed around flowers, creating a natural balance.
It felt... peaceful.
For the first time in a long while, I felt truly happy. Not because of power or achievements, but because I was free. Free to create. Free to dream. Free to build a world where everything worked in harmony.
---
I walked through the world I had created, Wall-E rolling beside me and Garuda flying above me.
"What do you think?" I asked.
Wall-E beeped in approval, spinning in circles.
I chuckled. "Glad you like it."
But this was just the beginning. There were still endless possibilities to explore.
For now, though, I was content to enjoy the moment. Walking through my own world, feeling the grass beneath my feet and the sun on my face, I realized something important.
This wasn't just a universe I had created.
It was home.
