Chapter 197: Monsters in the Dream (Two-in-One Chapter)_2
"Just, if that's the case, I always feel like I'm owing you something," Naya said with a giggle, covering her mouth.
"Miss Naya is too kind. Then... shall we start now?" Rein smiled and said.
The purpose of his visit was to be able to consult the books of this legendary family of magicians in order to better understand some knowledge related to wizards.
Since she had agreed, the sooner the better.
"Alright, Baron Rein, please follow me," she said.
Naya, too, stood up in surprise and accompanied Rein out of the drawing room upon hearing his offer to volunteer.
Outside, Hamilton and Knight Lawrence turned their heads upon hearing the door open and saw Naya's smiling face, immediately realizing that she had already come to an agreement with Rein.
The four of them passed through a long corridor and arrived at a bedroom that had been prepared in advance.
Besides a large bed and several chairs, the room was empty.
"Baron Rein, could you please join me and lie down on this bed, hand in hand?" Naya said straightforwardly.
"Hm?" Rein appeared slightly surprised.
But he quickly realized that this must be part of a ritual and nodded immediately, saying, "Alright, Miss Naya."
So, under the watchful eyes of Hamilton and Knight Lawrence, Rein and Naya lay down on the large bed, hand in hand.
This situation, being watched by others while holding hands with a not-so-familiar woman, was new to Rein and not particularly pleasant.
However, as soon as they held hands, Rein could feel the cool and smooth touch from Naya's slender fingertips.
In contrast, Naya found Rein's palm rough and fiery, which inexplicably gave her a sense of security.
This was also Naya's first time holding the hand of a strange man; her cheeks flushed slightly, but soon she repressed her shyness and said softly, "Lord Reine, please close your eyes, and I shall lead you into the dream world."
"Okay."
Immediately, Rein closed his eyes.
The next second, he felt a change as if his whole person suddenly began to fly high into the air, soaring endlessly when suddenly, he was surrounded by a verdant green.
He had arrived in a strange world.
It was also a boundless world.
But distinctly divided into two colors; one was the green region Rein was currently in, filled with vast green trees and colorful flowers.
The trees here were peculiar, each growing four or five meters above the ground in mid-air, and Rein could clearly see their spiraling and entwined roots.
Besides that, there were the large flowers interwoven in shades of green, pink, red, and more. These flowers were immense, even taller than those trees which were seven or eight meters high, with each flower's diameter greater than the water lilies Rein had seen in his previous life.
Looking further afield, he could see a cluster of black, mist-shrouded mountains in the distance.
The black mist above these mountains seemed to be slowly sweeping toward the green world; although it moved very slowly, Rein could faintly sense this trend.
Is this the dream world?

How intriguing, Rein mused to himself.
Suddenly, the sound of fluttering wings reached his ears and Rein turned his head to see an eagle-bodied creature with Naya's face appear in the air, just like the family emblem.
"Eh, Lord Reine, it seems you are not surprised by my current appearance," she said.
"Miss Naya, your current form closely resembles the emblem of your family," Rein replied with a smile.
"Oh, right, I remember now. Knight Lawrence had presented the emblem and visited you that day," Naya realized suddenly.
"That is correct, Miss Naya. Shall we set off now?"
"Of course. We need to head to that black area. To save time, I'll fly with you for a while, which may cause a slight sting. You might have to endure it, Lord Reine."
Rein nodded, but then it hit him.
That phrase sounded a bit odd!
Rein couldn't help but shake his head slightly.
As Naya hovered above Rein, flapping her wings with her hands turned into claws, she grabbed his shoulders and, with a strong flap, began to lift him up.
After several flaps, Naya was red-faced as she barely managed to lift Rein.
"Lord Reine, how can your spiritual power be so strong? Could it be that you're also a wizard apprentice?" Naya exclaimed in surprise.
Rein was quite shocked at how Naya could have identified it, but after thinking it over, he did not intend to deny it.
Since he had already reached the dream world and was about to join Naya in battle, if he continued to hide it now, it would not only be detrimental to the upcoming fight but also reduce the mutual trust between teammates.
So Rein nodded and said, "Yes, I am both a knight and a wizard apprentice."
"And not just an ordinary wizard apprentice, right? Baron Rein, your spiritual power is at least at the level of a second-grade wizard apprentice or above, isn't it?"
Rein smiled and did not confirm nor deny.
"No wonder! It seems we shouldn't have any problems killing the monsters." Although Naya was struggling to carry Rein forward through the air, the smile on her face couldn't be hidden.
It was a mixture of pain and pleasure!
"Miss Naya, is the black area we're going to the one up ahead?"
"Yes, Lord Reine, that black area ahead is where the monsters are located. Only by defeating the monster that guards the dream world node will this area's dream be restored to normal, and my nightmare will come to an end."
