While Princess Lin and Yuzhao were drinking and reminiscing about old times, Xie Zuo, Huo Yao, and Mengzhao avoided the spies supervising them and sneaked into the palace of the former king and queen.

The gate of the palace was tightly closed, and powerful expulsion spells had been set on the four walls. Most people who went near this area either got lost, or they fell into an illusion and were scared away.

Mengzhao had a cold personality but a very hot temper. He used his hand as a blade to chop at Huo Yao, wanting to break free and save Xie Zuo.

Huo Yao said calmly, “Troublesome.”

Mengzhao felt his legs go numb, and he was completely frozen and unable to move.

As the energy of death and resentment gathered and blended, a strong wind blew up in the palace, like a ghost crying and a wolf howling. The entire palace was stirred by the strong wind, the leaves and flowers in the garden trembled, and the roof tiles rustled.
