Chapter 1: Breakup Sex!
In a cramped room, the creaking of a wooden bed echoed rhythmically. Eventually, silence settled over the space.
Rustle, rustle…
The woman, sprawled lifelessly across his legs, slowly pushed herself up. She picked up her black lace lingerie, which was scattered on the floor. Once dressed, she bit the hair tie on her wrist and tied up her golden hair.
“This counts as a breakup bonus, right?”
Rhodes lit a cigarette and exhaled a long stream of smoke.
“Rhodes, you know…we’re pretty compatible in this area. I’ve always been satisfied with you.”
“But love alone isn’t enough to live on. No matter how much you satisfy me in bed, it doesn’t fill my stomach.”
“Buck might be rough and crude, and nowhere near as gentle and considerate as you, but his dad’s the chairman of a company. He can get me a really good job.”
Emma leaned down, slowly tracing her fingers across Rhodes’s chest.
“Even though we’ve broken up, you can still come to me if you need anything… in that department, you’re always way better than Buck.”
Smack!
She left a soft kiss on Rhodes’s cheek, then turned and walked away without the slightest hint of regret.
“Damn it… what the hell was that?”
Rhodes stood by the window, watching her flirtatious figure climb into a car and drive off. His expression was more frustrated than sad.
To be honest, he wasn’t all that heartbroken. After all, he was a transmigrator, and this was merely one of the worlds he travelled to. It had only been three days since he arrived in this new world. To him, the original owner’s girlfriend was nothing more than a convenient outlet. Maybe there were some leftover feelings, but not enough to grieve.
If there was anything to regret, it was probably that he didn’t get a chance to try out all his ideas over those three days.
But hey, there would be time for that later.
Thinking of this, Rhodes scratched his head. It was then that he remembered his cheat powers. As a transmigrator, he came with his golden finger—or rather, three of them.
Rhodes couldn’t help but recall his last moments before he transmigrated. He had been sitting in front of his computer, watching the latest romance drama by Lei Huo Jian, tissues in hand for a runny nose… And then, BAM!
A dump truck had suddenly crashed through his house and killed him on the spot. That was how he ended up in this world.
Over the past three days, he had awakened three powerful abilities: The first ability was a dimensional gate that connects to who-knows-where. The second ability was a massive personal storage space that could hold anything. The third ability, called Equivaria, was the most unique. It allowed him to offer anything and receive something of equal value in return.
He didn’t know where the dimensional gate led or whether it was dangerous, so he hadn’t dared to explore it yet. But he had already tested the storage space. It worked on both living and non-living things. And anything placed inside would come out in the exact state as before. He didn’t even need to touch an object, if it was within a one-meter radius, he could put it in with the command of his words. Living things, however, were an exception. They had to be either unconscious or completely surrendered to be stored.
Since Equivaria had just awakened today, he hadn’t tried it yet.
“Offer anything… and receive something of equal value in return.”
Rhodes stroked his chin and glanced around the room. Nothing seemed particularly valuable.
He walked into the kitchen and pulled out two fresh steaks from the fridge. Placing his hands on the beef, he silently muttered, ‘Equivaria.’
Flash! With a burst of light, the beef vanished. At the same time, Rhodes felt a surge of energy rise within him, flooding his limbs and bones. In that instant, he felt his strength noticeably increase.
“Damn!”
The nutrients in the beef had been directly absorbed and converted into raw power. Realizing how this ability worked, Rhodes lit up with excitement. Now that’s some overpowering cheat!
If just a few steaks had this much effect, wouldn’t buying a whole cow let him one-punch Tyson?
“Let’s try it with something else.”
Brimming with curiosity, Rhodes took the clock off the wall.
Equivaria!
Flash! The sleek, modern wall clock transformed into an ornate antique grandfather clock.
“Huh…”
‘What was that supposed to be?’
Rhodes clicked his tongue, unsatisfied, and took off the mechanical wristwatch from his hand.
Equivaria!
Clatter! The watch instantly broke apart, scattering pieces across the floor.
