" You don't need to brother with ordering me any clothes I brought plenty with me."

" Are you sure?"

" Yep, I'm positive, I packed for a week when I left California and mom can send the rest of my clothes when she gets back home. She'll need to send my sisters stuff anyway."

"Andie about your sister, would you like me to tell your dad to find someone else? I can do that sweetheart, remember what affects you, affects me, and if she's going to upset you then I have no problem sending her packing back to California on Monday."

" You can do that? I thought the chaperone was my dad's choice." I reminded him, he grinned and tapped the end of my nose, then he began to explain some things I didn't know.

"Actually according to werewolf laws and customs from the moment I recognized you as my soulmate,everything that concerns you is my decision. Especially after tomorrow when I take over the pack. Nobody is allowed to interfere with how an Alpha runs his pack, and they damn sure aren't allowed to interfere with the decisions he makes for his mate. It would be considered an Alpha challenge if they do. Since you're part of me, indirectly it would be saying they didn't think I was capable of making a decision for myself."

" Are you sure?" I ask. Just to see Zack roll his eyes at me.

" Absolutely sure, learning about all the laws and customs of running a pack is one of the things they teach you in those young Alpha classes. Alpha's are leaders of their pack for a reason, werewolves follow strong leaders who are capable of protecting and making decisions for the pack. Now tell me, do you want your sister here or not?"

"No" I sighed ,and before I knew what was happening Zack was pulling me across the room towards where my father was standing with my mother.

" Alpha Lucius, Luna Caroline" Zack called out to both of my parents ."I need to speak with you for a moment in my father's office please."

My dad nodded at Zack and we all headed to Alpha Riker's office together. Just as soon as we all took a seat Zack didn't waste time and got straight to the point,without sugar coating anything. And the most amazing part he didn't challenge my father's decision at all.

" Alpha Lucius, after a brief conversation with your oldest daughter I'm absolutely sure I don't want her to be Andie's chaperone. And I would like for you to find someone else."

My dad raised one of his dark eyebrows but didn't seem offended. Actually his reply surprised me.

" I see, did my oldest daughter disrespect you? If so, I will certainly punish her."

Zack sighed but didn't mince his words.

" Not exactly, however I don't believe she has Andie's best interest in mind. She told me in no uncertain terms that she would teach Andie how to pleasure me. And that's something I can't accept. I don't believe Andie needs to learn how to seduce me, especially at fourteen years old. It's my responsibility to protect Andie and I feel hearing such things at her age could scar her young mind. I also think it would totally defeat the purpose of having a chaperone."

My dad pinched the skin between his brows and closed his eyes and I thought my mom was going to have a heart attack. Her mouth hung open and it seemed like she was having trouble breathing. Silence prevailed for a moment before my dad responded.

" We definitely can't have that,and I appreciate your honesty. I also commend your valorous approach in protecting Andie. I will send someone more mature in the next couple of weeks."

" Thank you Alpha Lucius, an older female would be greatly appreciated, a grandmotherly type, if you will please."

I'm not really sure why Zack ask my dad to find some old lady but I guess my dad did.

His eyes twinkled and he flashed Zack a knowing smile " I know the perfect person,she was our nanny when the kids were little."

" Nana Grace! " I squealed excitedly and clasped my hand over my mouth waiting for my mother to scold me for being to loud. I love nana Grace, she always took up for me and never let Peyton or Abby pick on me when I was little.

My mother glared at me but Zack chuckled " I guess you like this lady?"

" I love Nana Grace." I beamed up at Zack grinning from ear to ear.

" Then that settles it, Nana Grace it is," Zack confirmed turning his attention back to my dad" Alpha Lucius, how soon can we get Nana Grace to Alaska? If needed I can send my private jet to the nearest international airport to pick her up."

My dad shook his head and spoke kinda cryptic to Zack " No need for that, I will arrange her travel. And I'm sure she will be exactly what you're looking for, real old school."

" Perfect, I'm glad you understand Alpha Lucius. Now that's settled let's get back to the party."

I was totally impressed, Zack didn't bat an eye when telling dad he didn't think Abby had my best interest in mind. But the most impressive part was dad listened. Now I don't have to put up with Abby's bull crap and her snotty attitude. I'm beginning to like this soulmate mate thing. But It's a little boring walking around in this banquet hall and I really need to go check on Jaylee. She's been at the dance for about an hour now ,enough time for her to get herself into trouble. I wonder if Zack will turn my hand loose long enough for me to make sure she hasn't snuck off with one of those young Alpha's. Well I guess there's only one way to find out.

We had just got back into the banquet hall and was headed for the bar to get a drink when I felt my baby girl snuggle up to my arm knocking my ass for a loop. I spin my head around to look at her beautiful little face.If it's not bad enough that she's all hugged up to my arm she bats those long fucking eyelashes at me.

'Oh moon goddess fucking help me, if this is a preview of my life to come.' I groaned in my head loud enough to wake Apollo's ass up. Damn wolf set up and wagged his tail like this shit was a good thing.

"Zack" Her little ass called my name all sweet and shit.

" Do you need something sweetheart?"

" Actually, I was wondering if I could go check on my friend Jaylee?"

"Sure sweetheart, let's grab a drink then we'll go talk to your friend."

I ordered me another double shot of bourbon on the rocks and my baby girl a bottle of water . Her little ass has had enough sugar for the night. She crinkled her cute little nose up but took the water and didn't complain.

With my drink in one hand and holding my baby girl's hand in the other, I leaned down a bit and murmured in her ear "sweetheart let's go find your friend now."

" Are you sure that you want to go with me?" She ask ,squeezing her cute little brows together.

"Yeah. I'm sure"

She shrugged her tiny shoulders mumbled "Okay " and started pulling me across the room towards the door and down the hallway.

When I heard the music getting louder it dawned on me that her friend was at the teenage dance party, my mom had arranged. We kept walking down the hallway towards the ballroom and before I pulled the door open I ask her " Did you think I wouldn't go with you to the dance party?"

She shrugged her little shoulders again. " I really didn't know." She said ,as she stood on her tip-toes scanning the dimly lite room.

" Hey, you know I only started hanging out in the banquet hall with all the older people this year. Remember sweetheart I was still seventeen just two months ago and I actually love these parties."

After I reminded her that I'm not really that much older than she is. Her little ass perked up and a beautiful smile bloomed on her little face. Perhaps having this extra time to really get to know each other before she can feel the bond is the best thing ever . Most werewolves who met their mate usually spend the first week in bed together and all they really know about their soulmate is their name. Andie and I will have three and half years to talk and hangout together before she can feel the bond. In that time I plan to get to know everything about her and she will know everything about my life too. Yep this is perfect.

"My mom started having these dance parties for my sister when she was about your age. She's continued to have them every since. It gives the younger people something to do while the older people are socializing over cocktails. Actually we should spend a little time in here,so you can see how much fun it is. I don't know why I didn't think of it before but I believe we should continue to have these dance parties,when you become my Luna."

"Yeah, I think that would be a good idea too." She murmured absentmindedly as she craned her neck to serch the crowd.

" What's your friend look like? I can help you look for her."

" She has long brown hair and it's fixed like mine. She's a little bit bigger than me and she's wearing a dark blue dress almost like mine."

Being taller then everyone else in the room it was easy for me to scan the crowd but I didn't see anyone who fit that description.

" I don't see anyone who looks like that, let's go check the bathroom?" I suggested tugging on my baby girl's hand to follow me in the direction of the bathroom.

" How many young Alpha's are here?" Andie ask curiously, the curiosities in her voice sending an uncomfortable wave of jealousy through my body. What the fuck!

" Why?" I ask not hiding my displeasure.

" Because Jaylee has a thing for them."She replied, seemly not bother by my tone of voice and just what the hell does that mean? I wondered.

" What kinda thing?" I ask really hoping it wasn't what I thought it meant. I really hope her friend isn't a little Alpha bed climber. Usually that shit starts at about sixteen, then I remember Andie will be fifteen in two months. Oh fuck!

" You know, she thinks their hot. And I'm afraid she might have wondered off with one of those little horny bastards."My girl said seriously making me laughing out loud at the way her nose crinkled.

" It's not funny, my friend don't understand how those little bastards are." My girl pouted

"okay, okay, let me think a minute. I believe there should be seven Young Alpha's in here. There's nine here altogether but one is older then me and he's out in the banquet hall and then Young Alpha Tucker is only six years old he's in the play room. So yep, that leaves seven, I can spot an Alpha if you want me to count them."

" Do you know what all the Young Alpha's look like?"

" Yeah, I have a folder in my room with a brief profile on all the future Alpha's but I don't need it for this. My wolf can detect an Alpha male in the room." I explained spinning my girl around to look at the crowd I pointed out into the crowd and we counted them together.

" okay see that boy over there by the snack bar with the blue suit on he's an Alpha. And those two over there talking to your brother and his future Beta. The one standing on your brothers right is an Alpha and the other guy is his Beta." I pointed out towards the dance floor turning her around to see who I was talking about.

" You see that guy in the black suit dancing with the blonde in the pink dress he's an Alpha."

" Okay, that's just three where's the others." She ask getting a little anxious, I could feel her distress through the bond.

" Calm down baby, there's one over at that corner table hugged up with that girl in the blue dress" I pointed out over her shoulder.

She bolted out of my arms with her little Alpha werewolf speed so fast I had a hard time catching her through the crowd of dancing teenagers. She bobbed and weaved gracefully side stepping couples dancing until she stood in front of the smooching couple with her hands on her little hips her lips curled in an angry hiss.

" Jaylee" she growled like a moma bear

The girl at the table pulled her lips off young Alpha Rory's with a sucking sound leaving poor Rory still puckered up.
