Chapter 66: Chapter 66: Young Wolf Lord, Kasha’s Night Raid
Everyone was stunned by Axis's strength; in the blink of an eye, more than a dozen Space Wolves had been knocked down.
Since the fight had just started, the Space Wolves hadn't attacked all at once.
They came at Axis in waves, but the result was the same: Axis floored each of them as easily as swatting away children.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Led by Russ, the surrounding Space Wolves raised their mugs and hammered the table in excitement.
"I've already told you, come at me all at once, otherwise you don't stand a chance," Axis said coldly, clapping his hands as if swatting away dustand scoffing.
With that cocky attitude, anyone watching would want to land a punch on him.
"Damn it! Everyone, together!"
"Yeah! Let's teach this kid a lesson."
"Charge!"
More and more Wolves joined the brawl, piling on Axis until nearly eighty Space Wolves were fighting him at the same time.
"Now the real show's starting! Yohooo! Come on, Axis, knock them all down!" Kasha cheered, raising her mug, watching the chaos with relish and seeming a bit tipsy.
To be honest, watching a group of men brawling was quite entertaining, the sheer impact of fist-on-flesh was pure spectacle.
"Well done, boys! Keep fighting, keep brawling!" Russ shouted, slapping the table and laughing heartily.
This was what life on Fenris was all about!
"For Russ!" The Space Wolves raised their mugs in a raucous cheer.
Axis moved through the crowd like a ghost, fists flashing and every blow smashing through his opponents' defenses with overwhelming force.
A knee to the ribs shattered a Wolf's bones, leaving him on his knees, coughing blood.
An elbow from Axis knocked out another who tried to ambush him from the side, sending the poor guy tumbling with his eyes rolled back.
He grabbed one guy by the hair, slammed his face into his own knee, the sickening crunch of a shattered nose echoed as blood stained Axis's boots.
The fight only grew fiercer.
The hall rang with the crack of breaking bones and the roars of furious warriors.
Axis fought harder the longer it went, his body splattered with blood, but not a drop of it was his.
His movements were as fast as lightning, his strength as immovable as a mountain; with each strike, another Space Wolf fell.
It was a one-sided massacre.
Even with over a hundred Space Wolves attacking together, they couldn't lay a finger on Axis.
He wasn't even using any ki. This was pure, physical combat.
And even so, with his overwhelming strength alone, he dominated every last one of them.
Seeing this, even those who'd been watching from the banquet couldn't hold back any longer.
Tossing aside their mugs, they let out a battle cry and charged in.
The number of combatants surged from a hundred to two hundred, then three hundred.
Mugs flew through the air, and so did the Space Wolves, beaten and tossed around by Axis like ragdolls.
After about an hour, Axis stood alone at the center of the hall, stretching his body, surrounded by a sea of fallen Space Wolves, at least a thousand of them lay scattered at his feet.
He wasn't getting tired, but even he couldn't hide his deep breaths.
Far off in the corner, some mortal sailors and Imperial Navy crew members watched the scene in terror.
A brawl between giants in the ship's mess hall was simply too much for them.
"Axis! Axis!"
"Axis!!" The Wolves who could still stand chanted Axis's name in wild celebration.
To take down a thousand Space Wolves alone was an incredible feat!
Even their great father, Russ, could scarcely have done better.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Get over here and take them to the medbay!" Russ waved, signaling the mortal support troops to come in and carry off the beaten Wolves.
Finally snapping out of it, squads of mortal sailors and support staff shuffled in, hauling the massive bodies of the Space Wolves onto stretchers and carrying them off, one after another.
Tonight, the Apothecaries and medics would be working overtime!
There probably wouldn't even be enough beds for treatment, but it didn't matter.
Axis had held back a bit, after all; though many had broken bones or were battered and bruised, none of the injuries were life-threatening.
For an Astartes, a couple of days' rest would fix everything.
"Hahaha! Now, is there anyone left who objects? Anyone who thinks Axis shouldn't be the new Wolf Lord, the Captain of the Fourteenth Marine Company?" Russ stood up and surveyed the room, his voice booming.
This night had completely solidified Axis's standing among the Wolves.
From now on, all Space Wolves had to accept the fact: after Russ, Axis was the mightiest among them.
"To Young Wolf Lord Axis!" Every Space Wolf stood as one, raising their mugs high to toast him.
Axis smiled faintly, stepped forward, grabbed a mug of mead, and downed it in one go.
Once the wounded had been cleared away, the revelry continued.
The feast stretched from night till dawn, and into the next night.
Some of the less-injured Wolves even returned from the medbay to keep drinking.
It wasn't until the third night that the wild celebration finally ended.
Even someone with a Saiyan's monstrous physique like Axis was left staggering from the amount of alcohol.
Tens of thousands of Space Wolves came up, one after another, to toast him.
Axis completely lost track of how much he had drunk.
Two Space Wolves, still fairly sober, helped Axis to the door of the rest room, both of them swaying as they went.
"Haha! Young Wolf Lord, get some good rest tonight! Soon, we'll be picking your squad from the new recruits."
Axis, half-conscious, gave them a drunken grin, belched thunderously, filling the room with the reek of liquor.
"All right, you two go now. Leave the rest to me. I'll take care of Axis," Said Kasha, who had come out of nowhere, with a sly, tipsy smile.
The two, also rather tipsy, nodded and staggered out of the room.
Axis collapsed onto the bed, snoring so loudly it could shake the walls.
Behind him, a big, fluffy tail thrashed back and forth.
Kasha sat on the edge of the bed and stroked Axis's tail, it was thick and surprisingly coarse, almost like a monkey's tail!
The moment she grabbed it, Axis stiffened up.
One of a Saiyan's weaknesses was their tail. If someone grabbed it, all their strength would vanish and they'd be powerless.
Though this weakness could be trained away, Axis hadn't yet finished that training.
Seeing Axis freeze up, Kasha immediately realized something was special about his tail.
'So that's the kid's weakness!
'No wonder he usually keeps it wrapped around his waist inside the armour.'.
"Axis, are you asleep?" Kasha asked, leaning over him.
"Urgh... mm..." Axis only managed a drunken mumble, burying his face in the pillow.
Kasha patted his shoulder a few more times, making sure he was truly out cold, then tiptoed to the door and locked it.
She slipped into Axis's bathroom for a shower, washing away the stench of liquor.
'You little brat with your attitude, tonight you're all mine!' A sly grin spread across her face as cold water poured on her face..
Wrapping herself in a bathrobe, Kasha came back out.
"Axis, want to play a fun game?
"Just give me your gene-seed," Kasha teased.
"Uh... mm...uh?...Sure?" Axis mumbled, too drunk to know what was happening.
He'd been drinking for three days and nights, and his brain, for the lack oif a better phrase, completely fried.
"Then let's go for a duel, then! Let's see who wins!," Kasha said with a wicked grin.
The two started a fierce battle.
Axis took the first turret in bot lane, then quickly pushed down mid lane, stormed into the jungle, and stole Kasha's red buff.
Kasha wasn't about to let him have it all his way.
She pulled off a successful counter-kill on the high ground, holding her position on top lane.
Then she snuck downriver and stole one of Axis's dragons.
Charging into the Baron pit at the top lane, Kasha tried to steal the big buff for a game-winning comeback, but Axis ambushed her in the jungle, turned the tables, and sent Kasha back to base.
With the Baron buff, Axis bulldozed mid lane, crushed the second turret, and stormed the high ground.
Kasha was furious, but powerless.
She could only turtle at the base, defending her last two turrets from Axis's relentless assault.
But in the face of overwhelming force, all resistance was futile.
The top and bottom lanes were quickly broken through, and Axis pushed all the way to the Nexus, finally destroying it with a spectacular explosion of fireworks.
The fierce duel was over.
The next morning, Axis woke up groggy.
The first thing he saw was a head of golden hair draped across his bare chest.
The faint scent of perfume lingered in the air, lightly masking the scent of something else.
There was a soft girl sleeping in his arms.
The silky touch of her body made it clear, he wasn't dreaming.
"Ah…Uh!...AAAH!!"
'Damn you, vixen!' Axis was speechless.
Guys really do need to protect themselves when they're out cold, otherwise they might fall for a vixen's tricks!
"Stop yelling, Axis, you're on my hair!" Kasha complained, pushing him.
"What? Why are you in my room?"
"Obviously, I came for your gene-seed!" Kasha replied with a grin, opening her eyes.
