He knelt on the ground, shivering uncontrollably, but he continued reciting praises to the Emperor, the great master of humanity.

Seeing this, Rhodes nodded in satisfaction. That's more like it.

A few minutes passed, and although the human warrior continued to tremble, his overall condition had stabilized. His transformation wasn't drastic—his height increased from 1.8 meters to 2 meters.

His physique became more proportional, with streamlined muscles that were stronger and more aesthetically pleasing than an ordinary human's.

Aside from these changes, however, there were no other visible transformations. The golden psychic light Rhodes had hoped for did not manifest.

In the market, two types of monster gene-enhancing serums were known. One transformed individuals into white-furred apes capable of using ice powers.

The other turned people into humanoid dragons capable of unleashing crimson energy blasts.

The enormous red dragons seen roaming the market were often individuals who had failed after using the dragon serum.

"That's right. The fusion was a complete success. I told you this serum is particularly suitable for humans. His body hasn't undergone drastic changes," Rhodes explained.

After the enhancement, his height didn't even surpass that of the first-generation Space Marines, only barely reaching 2 meters. He didn't have the explosive musculature of a Space Marine either.

Instead, his body had a streamlined, proportional build, reminiscent of the Chaos Daemon Slayer.

"This… this is truly incredible! Lord Loki, may I be so bold as to ask, what is the origin of this monster serum's base creature?" Kania asked.

The two known serums in the market came from a white-furred ape capable of emitting icy rays and a flying red dragon.

However, both serums granted users the ability to transform into the original monster's miniaturized form.

But this new serum didn't seem to grant a transformation ability—or perhaps it was derived from a human all along!

A mysterious smile appeared on Rhodes' lips.

"This monster's origin is quite special. Due to confidentiality, I can't reveal it to you.

But I can guarantee that it is the most suitable enhancement option for humans," Rhodes said.

As Rhodes expected, the Chaos Daemon Slayer's enhancements could greatly boost physical abilities.

However, it wouldn't cause a drastic change in the appearance of humans—unlike the Dark Eldar, who might directly transform into a white-furred gorilla or a small dragon. This is partly related to the fact that Chaos Daemon Slayers themselves are in human form, but it could also be connected to the Emperor's psychic power. After all, this sacred psychic power functions as a kind of bond of light.

It is filled with love and kindness for humanity—of course, provided that you believe in the Emperor, believe in humanity, and remain loyal to the Imperium. If, however, you are a follower of Chaos, then this golden psychic power would become your death sentence.

This enhancement serum is unfriendly to Chaos forces.

"How effective is this enhancement in combat?" Kania asked.

"I can provide a training ground here," Lelith said. She had quietly appeared at the doorway, watching with interest as the new monster-enhancement serum was discussed. "I can even send out an Ice Beast warrior for a duel."

He could easily lift 1,500 kilograms (1.5 tons), jump eight meters in a standing long jump, and achieve a vertical jump of over four meters. His 100-meter sprint time was just over seven seconds, and his barehanded punch generated a force close to 2.5 tons. However, since the enhancement had just been completed, his performance might not have been optimal.

Rhodes estimated that the final punching power could reach 3.5 tons or even exceed 4 tons.

Next came the combat test, where a warrior enhanced with the Ice Beast serum was pitted against the human.

At first, the two were evenly matched. The enhanced human's physical abilities were not much weaker than those of the baseline Eldar warriors. Even though the Dark Eldar warrior had used Guigass' monster serum for enhancement, the human still held his ground.

However, the situation changed once the Ice Beast warrior began to use his frost powers and transformed into a 3.5-meter-tall white-furred gorilla.

After the transformation, the Ice Beast warrior's strength reached a terrifying 10 tons or more. With a single punch, he knocked down the newly enhanced human warrior.

Guigass' power was immense. Beyond his frost ray ability, he had a monstrous technique called Giant Impact.

The Dark Eldar warriors were already far superior to humans in terms of physical constitution. This result didn't surprise Rhodes.

However, the outcome left Lelith slightly disappointed. She had expected more from this enhancement. In the end, it only made humans slightly stronger than unenhanced Dark Eldar warriors but was no match for Ice Beast-enhanced warriors.

"Forgive me, my lord, for disappointing you." The defeated human warrior knelt before Kania, looking disheartened.

"There's no need to blame yourself. You've done very well. Your current strength is only slightly below that of a standard Space Marine. Once we return, I'll have the Mechanicus priests craft a custom power armor for you. You'll join my personal guard," Kania reassured his warrior, patting him on the shoulder.

This monster-enhancement serum greatly satisfied him. Transforming into a Dark Eldar-like monster might increase combat power, but it would also bring a lot of trouble—such as being unable to operate openly in human society. If his subordinates turned into monsters, it could be exploited by others, causing him unnecessary problems.

But with this enhancement, which simply improved physical attributes without altering appearance, such issues wouldn't arise.

The increase in human physical ability far exceeded Kania's expectations.

The test confirmed for him that while these enhanced warriors couldn't match Ice Beast warriors, they were not far behind unarmored Space Marines. They even had an advantage in speed, though they were slightly weaker in strength.

This was an excellent enhancement—perfectly suited to Kania's needs as a rogue trader. He decided he would purchase it on a large scale in the future.

He would then form a personal guard squad comparable to a standard Space Marine squad.
