Vengeance Incarnate

Olethros felt like he was floating in a white void and was blinded by a bright light. He heard unfamiliar people speaking and upon opening his eyes and seeing himself in a strange place entirely and everything seeming larger than it is. He lifted his hand and saw it become shorter and he tried to speak only for them to come out as incomprehensible sounds.

"Ah shit, I have been reverted to a baby," He said while crying mentally causing his childlike self to cry.

"Alex Redstone my poor baby, why are you crying?" Asked a woman with blue hair and blue eyes.

"Perhaps you are hungry," the woman mused.

"You have been interrupted from your sleep I can guess," the woman said as she started singing a lullaby to put the child to sleep.

The child's eyes got heavy and before falling asleep thought, 'Alex Redstone is my new name in this life I must get used to it plus it would be nice to grow up with parents.'

[A year later]

Alex is trying to walk with difficulty with the blue haired woman with blue coloured eyes encouraging him. Only for him to fall down and get injured only for the woman to rush to him and bring forth her hands using healing magic on the boy.

The blue haired and blue eyed woman healing Alex is Sasha Redstone mistress of Duke Reinhardt Von Redstone who is the patriarch of the Redstone family. Alex was hungry for knowledge as he read books trying to obtain knowledge that would help him get revenge against the gods that murdered him in cold blood. Alex was observant as he knew the situation of the Redstone Household he understood why he and his mother were isolated as the main wife did not like the idea that the patriarch had a mistress in the first place.

Alex seeing that walking has failed he crawled up to a nearby mirror and examined his appearance, he now had blue hair and red coloured eyes eyes and was a short as an infant can get. Sasha Redstone took Alex and carried him over to his crib and read him a story so that he can fall asleep which he did so abruptly.

Sasha went for a stroll only for her icy blue eyes to meet with the inferno red eyes of Reinhardt Von Redstone the head of the Redstone family.

"Good evening Sasha," Reinhardt said while putting on a smile that would have one questioning his intentions.

"Good evening patriarch," Sasha said while bowing slightly.

"It is a nice day is it?" Reinhardt asked only to get shocked at the response that he will receive.

 "First of all cut the bullshit and say what you want to say," Sasha said while looking uninterested.

"I want you to remain cooperative as you wouldn't want anything to happen to little Alex," Reinhardt said while his red eyes became brighter as his rage increased.

"Don't use our child as a bargaining chip!" Sasha said venomously with the room dropping to absolute zero temperatures.

"You mean your child as I wanted nothing to do with your child," Reinhardt said while the room became even colder.

"If you excuse I'll be on my way," Sasha said while turning to leave.

Reinhardt grabbed her by the neck and tried to strangle the life out of her before throwing her at a pillar and grabbing a fistful of her hair causing her to forcefully look at him.

"Let us not forget who saved your pathetic life," Reinhardt said not before throwing Sasha on the ground and leaving the area.

Sasha stood up while nursing her bruised face then went to her room and looked at Alex who was dead asleep in his crib.

"My son may you live better life than I did," Sasha said as teardrops fell onto the carpet.

[5 years later]

Alex was now six years of age and he limited his vocabulary as it would be strange for a four-year-old to use grammar not even used by most adults. Alex had an athletic at his age due to light exercises this caused him to be generally fast. Alex and Sasha, the mother son duo, were relaxed in Sasha's bedroom while Sasha was teaching Alex etiquette. Alex hoped that this good times would last but sadly that wasn't meant to be as Sasha while she was teaching him collapsed and was leaking a lot of blood from her mouth. Alex hurriedly called for the maids telling them it was an emergency and the helped Alex rush his mother to the infirmary where the doctor tried everything they could but could not see progress. Sasha opened her eyes and told the doctors to usher in Alex so that she can speak with him alone. Alex on seeing the state of his mother even if he knew her for a short while burst into tears.

"Don't cry, you are a man act like one," Sasha said softly while wiping off tears on the face of Alex.

"Happy birthday even though I am slightly late," Sasha said while patting the head of Alex.

"I'm giving you my necklace and this letter which will explain everything don't show this to anyone not even the patriarch," Sasha said with all seriousness causing Alex to nod his head.

"I have many regrets in life such as not seeing you grow up but the one thing I will never regret was giving birth to you and raising you. Always know that this day, the next and forever I will always love you," Sasha said before her body going limp.

"I love you too mom," Alex said silently as he watched his mother's dead body have a smile on his face.

The doctors rushed into the room to try and stabilize her but she was already gone. A few weeks later a funeral was held to honour Sasha Redstone everyone gave their condolences to Alex but Alex knew this was just for show as they wanted favours from the Duke Reinhardt Von Redstone. Alex asked himself if the other gods rejoice in his misery or something. Just as he thought things could not get any worse two weeks after the funeral Alex was summoned before the patriarch Reinhardt and when he arrived what he was told shook him to his core.

"As of today you are banished from the house of Redstone and the area governed by it," Reinhardt said his red eyes looking at Alex as if he was a worm.

"W-W-W-Why now?" Alex asked while stuttering.

"Well you are of no use to me as the only thing keeping you in this house was your mother but what do you know she died," Reinhardt said.

Reinhardt walked towards Alex and whispered into his ear words that would ignite a spark.

"I ordered your mother to be poisoned by the maids," Reinhardt whispered while chuckling darkly.

"Guards take out this garbage from my sight," Reinhardt told the guards who then surrounded Alex and dragged him out of the mansion as the Patriarch followed him.

"The bastard is getting kicked out, I would have wanted a personal butler," said Lyne, the oldest of the two children of the matriarch of the house, who had red hair and violet coloured eyes and was aged ten.

"Me too," said Ren, the younger of the two children of the matriarch of the house, who had black hair and red coloured eyes.

"Good riddance!" The matriarch Cecilia Redstone exclaimed this woman had black hair and violet coloured eyes.

"Any last words to say before your exile?" Reinhardt asked while having a thousand megawatts grin.

"I'll be back," Alex said while giving Reinhardt the legendary middle finger which portrayed millions of insults as he broke into a mad dash.

"Guards chase down that insolent brat and make sure he doesn't leave this area alive," Reinhardt said while fuming in pure rage.

The guards were confused until Reinhardt spoke again.

"What are you waiting for go kill the insolent brat," Reinhardt said in rage.

The soldiers took off in a mad dash some quickening their steps with magic their eyes set on the prize which was Alex but little did they know they were told to deal with the nimblest bastard. Alex once he reached the road and saw a carriage was passing by and he saw the soldiers behind him trying to kill him he ran as fast as his tiny feet could allow him and due to his small size the soldiers did not see him sneaking onto the carriage.

Alex gave out a sigh of relief once the soldiers were out of sight. Alex fell asleep and the carriage came to a sudden halt causing him to wake up quickly. Peering from the covers of the carriage he saw he was in some kind of town. He quickly took off from the carriage and found himself wandering the streets of what he came to know was Imperium the capital city of the Imperium Kingdom.

[A week later]

Alex had been struggling to find food and he thought that it was a good idea to steal some food as no one would give it to him for free. Alex sees a group of three kids outrunning stall owners at quick paces while each was holding their spoils.

"Somebody Catch those thieves!" A fat stall owner shouted.

As the mob was getting nearer and nearer one of the kids raced past Alex and grabbed his arm dragging him along shouting one word.

"Run!"

Alex and the three kids raced through the city using alleyways to evade the stall owners and authorities.

Getting to the back of a bar in a secluded street the kids sat down to eat and one of the kids tossed a piece of bread at him.

"Eat coz it seems like you haven't eaten in a long while," the kid who dragged him said.

Alex saying a silent thank you that was heard by the group nibbled on his piece of bread silently.

"Why did you tell me to run?" Alex asked once he finished eating.

"That's because the locals of this city do not care if you are an innocent in their eyes thieves and dirty children in torn clothes are the same," the boy who dragged him said.

"I see," Alex said while nodding his head as he has understood what they had said.

"We forgot to do introductions I'm Lenny," said the boy who dragged Alex while pulling down his cloak to reveal a pair of grey eyes and black hair.

"I'm Raphael," said the boy who gave Alex bread while pulling down his cloak to reveal ash coloured hair and a pair of charcoal black eyes.

"I'm Mia," said the last member of the group pulling down their cloak to reveal long blonde hair and a pair of golden eyes.

"I'm Alex," Alex said while purposefully omitting his last name.

"I don't know why I feel like we will get along just fine," Lenny said while putting is hand out for a handshake and Alex shook his hand while nodding silently.

[6 years later]

Alex is now twelve and thought that his shitty luck ended a long time ago, well, think again. He arrived from securing food for his group which he considered his family and found imperial soldiers standing over their corpses Alex ran as far as his legs could causing him to bump into a man but little did he know that this unlikely meeting would be beneficial in the long run.
