Chapter 35: Chapter 35 : Back to Home !!
Today Alia came there mother and Ruhr and Albert aunty. Alia came to see her child, because today they will return to there home thats why she came .
As the morning sun broke over the horizon, the mansion's towering silhouette cast long shadows on the group preparing to depart.
The air was heavy with tension as the family gathered their belongings and loaded them into their battered vehicle—the infamous "Rustbucket," a van that had seen better days but remained a symbol of their chaotic family outings.
For the past four days, confusion had been the prevailing theme. While the trip had been intended as a simple inspection of the old mansion, personal dramas had unraveled one after another. Now, the family was heading home, but the weight of unresolved issues lingered in the air.

☞ Packing and Preparations
Eithan stood near the Rustbucket, overseeing the packing process with his usual air of laziness masking his sharp attention to detail.
Despite his carefree demeanor, he ensured everything was securely placed in the vehicle. He turned to Josh, who was standing off to the side, nervously fidgeting with the hem of his jacket.
"Josh," Eithan called out, his tone light but pointed.
"If you're scared to face Dad, you better deal with it now. There's no running away from this."
Josh swallowed hard, his face pale.
"I told you, I need Mom to help me with this. Sarah... she's important to me. I don't want Dad to ruin things."
Eithan raised an eyebrow. "Then tell Mom yourself."
Josh hesitated before nodding. He approached their mother, Alia, who was standing near the mansion's entrance, speaking softly to Ruhr. After a brief exchange, Alia turned to Josh with a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, Josh," Alia said gently.
"I'll talk to your father, but not right away. This isn't the right time. You'll have to tell him yourself, but I'll be by your side when you do."
Josh felt a flicker of relief but remained apprehensive. The thought of facing their father, Max, was daunting.
Max was a formidable figure, known for his strictness and high expectations, especially toward his sons. Josh wasn't sure how his father would react to the news of his impending marriage.

☞ Loading the Rustbucket
The rest of the family was busy loading the Rustbucket. Ruhr and Albert were already squabbling over what they'd watch during the long ride home.
Albert, the youngest and most energetic of the siblings, was insistent on watching his favorite cartoon drama, while Ruhr, ever the responsible older sister, argued for a drama series she'd been following.
"You always get your way, Albert!" Ruhr snapped, holding the remote control for the van's small entertainment system out of his reach.
"But I wanna watch cartoons!" Albert whined, jumping up and down in an attempt to grab the remote.
Eithan, leaning casually against the side of the van, smirked.
"You two argue more than Josh and his 'Sarah problems.' Can't you just compromise?"
Eventually, they settled on a movie—something neutral that neither particularly loved nor hated.
Albert sulked for a bit before getting engrossed in the film, while Ruhr sat beside him, filing her nails with practiced indifference.
The van's atmosphere, though noisy, carried a sense of familial chaos that was oddly comforting.

☞ Departure
Sarah and Leo were departing separately in the same taxi they had arrived in. The two stood a short distance from the family, speaking quietly. Leo, ever the loyal servant, appeared uneasy, his brow furrowed as he glanced at the Rustbucket.
"Are you sure about this, my queen?" Leo asked, his voice low.
"Traveling with them has only complicated things. Should we not move forward with caution?"
Sarah's eyes narrowed, her lips curving into a cold smile.
"Caution, Leo? We've wasted enough time on caution. Josh is under my control now. As long as he remains loyal to me, the rest of the family will crumble from within."
Leo nodded, though his unease remained.
"And the queen vampire Natasha? What of her plans?"
Sarah's smile faded slightly, her gaze hardening.
"Natasha's plans are her own. For now, we share a common goal. But make no mistake—when the time comes, I will deal with her."
With that, Sarah and Leo stepped into their taxi. Sarah cast one last glance at the Rustbucket, her expression unreadable.
The taxi pulled away, leaving the family to their journey home.

☞ On the Road
The Rustbucket roared to life, its engine sputtering before settling into a steady hum. Eithan took the wheel, his relaxed posture belying his skill as a driver.
Josh sat in the passenger seat, still fidgeting nervously, while Alia and Adi occupied the middle row. Ruhr and Albert were in the back, still bickering lightly as the movie played on the small screen.
The first few hours of the journey were relatively uneventful, save for Albert's occasional outbursts of excitement over the movie and Adi's quiet observations about the scenery. Eithan's mind, however, was elsewhere.
While he appeared calm, he couldn't shake the lingering tension from the past few days. He was disappointed in Josh's lack of focus and concerned about the implications of Sarah's sudden acceptance of his proposal.
At one point, Eithan glanced at Josh and said,
"You know, you're going to have to step up eventually. Sarah or no Sarah, this family comes first."
Josh didn't respond immediately, his gaze fixed on the road ahead.
Finally, he muttered, "I know. But... I can't lose her."
Eithan sighed, his grip on the steering wheel tightening slightly.
"Just remember, Josh. Loyalty to family is what keeps us strong. Don't forget that."
---
☞ A Moment of Reflection
As the Rustbucket rolled on, the family slowly settled into a comfortable rhythm. Alia hummed softly to herself, a tune from her youth, while Adi dozed off against her shoulder.
Ruhr and Albert, having finished the movie, were now playing a word game to pass the time.
Eithan's thoughts drifted as he drove, his usual carefree demeanor giving way to quiet introspection.
He couldn't shake the feeling that Sarah was more than she appeared to be. Her sudden acceptance of Josh's proposal felt calculated, almost too perfect. But he didn't voice his suspicions—not yet.
For now, his priority was getting his family home safely and ensuring they stayed united despite their differences.
In the backseat, Ruhr glanced at her younger siblings and smiled faintly. Despite the chaos, the squabbles, and the drama, they were still a family. And no matter what challenges lay ahead, she was determined to protect them.

☞ Arrival at Home
William House RTC
By the time they reached home, the sun was setting, casting a warm golden glow over the familiar estate.
The family piled out of the Rustbucket, stretching their legs and unloading their belongings.
Alia immediately set to work organizing everything, while Ruhr and Albert chased each other around the yard, their laughter echoing through the evening air.
Josh lingered near the vehicle, his nerves returning as he thought about facing his father.
Eithan noticed and clapped a hand on his shoulder, offering a reassuring smile.
"Relax, Josh. Whatever happens, we'll handle it together."
Josh nodded, though his anxiety remained. As the family settled back into their routine, the weight of the past few days began to fade, replaced by the comfort of home.
But beneath the surface, tensions simmered, and the shadows of unresolved conflicts loomed, promising that this was only the beginning of their journey.
