Twins of Tatva

Chapter 27: Trial of the Heart

The ground shifted, and the forest melted into an arena of light and water.

Two Avantikas now stood opposite each other.

One filled with compassion.

One with rage.

The Shadow Avantika whispered, "You don't deserve Arjuna. You don't deserve power. You are weak."

Real Avantika's hands trembled, not with fear — but hurt.

"I have doubts. I break. But I love," she said. "And love is not weakness."

The two clashed. Water flew like blades, songs echoed as weapons. But Avantika remembered her mother's lullaby — the melody she used to calm the waves.

She sang.

The shadow screamed, cracking with each note.

"You win… for now," the shadow said, fading. "But remember, love can save — and destroy."

The forest reappeared.

Arjuna rushed to her side. "You did it."

But before she could answer, a scarlet light lit up the sky.

Far away, Devsena was bleeding.

The Trial of Blood had begun.
