Chapter 18: The Second Seal
The storm had passed, but the island still whispered.
Ruins trembled. Winds howled with secrets. And beneath the silence, something stirred… older than the Mask, deeper than memory.
Arjuna stood in the chamber below, heart pounding.
He held the ancient stone slab that had warned them.
"Second Seal."
"Shall shatter the twins."
He turned to Vrinda's old map. A hidden mark glowed — Kshetrapal Dweep, a forgotten island, lost in time.
"That's where it lies," Arjuna murmured.
"The second seal."
Above ground, Devsena and Avantika sat in silence, bruised from battle, but… more connected than ever.
"I felt your pain," Avantika whispered.
"When I attacked… I didn't want to hurt you."
Devsena looked down, voice quiet.
"I know. I saw your memories for a second — your songs, the waves, your loneliness."
Avantika:
"We're sisters, Devsena. And someone tried to break that bond."
Before Devsena could answer, the conch pulsed. A vision struck Avantika.
She saw…
A mountain of fire.
A woman cloaked in gold holding a crystal dagger.
A symbol — fire and water merged into a lotus.
And then…
Arjuna falling — struck by a hooded assassin.
Avantika gasped, tears slipping.
"Someone wants him dead."
Elsewhere — in the Black Forest, under a moonless sky…
The hooded figure sharpened the blade.
Not Vritant.
Someone far darker.
"Let them unlock the second seal. Let them trust each other…"
"Because once it opens… they will never trust again."
Back on the ship, Vrinda finally spoke.
"The seals were created by your great-grandmother — Queen Mahisha."
"Vritant was her firstborn… but corrupted by hunger for divine power. She sealed him thrice — in mirror, sea, and flame."
"You've broken the mirror."
"The sea is next."
Devsena:
"And the flame?"
Vrinda looked away, eyes heavy.
"It lies within one of you."
The camera pulls back — waves crashing against Kshetrapal Dweep in the distance.
A red sun rises.
The second seal… begins to tremble.
