True Infinity

Infinite tensed as the Destruction God approached. "ⱧØ₦Ɇ₴₮ⱠɎ ł ₦ɆVɆⱤ ₮ⱧØɄ₲Ⱨ₮ ɎØɄ'Đ ฿Ɇ ₵Ɽ₳ⱫɎ Ɇ₦ØɄ₲Ⱨ ₮Ø ₳₵₮Ʉ₳ⱠⱠɎ ⱠɆ₳VɆ ₮Ⱨ₳₮ ₮ł₥ɆⱠł₦Ɇ. ɎØɄ ₮ⱤɄⱠɎ ₥Ʉ₴₮ Ⱨ₳VɆ ₳ ĐɆ₳₮Ⱨ ₩ł₴Ⱨ."

Infinite sweated a bit nervously before steeling himself. God or not he would not show weakness or fear towards the being in front of him.

Error blinked in surprise before grinning at the sudden change in the jackal's demeanor. "₮ⱤɎł₦₲ ₮Ø ₳₵₮ ฿Ɽ₳VɆ ₳ⱤɆ ₩Ɇ? ĐØ₦'₮ ₮Ⱨł₦₭ ₮Ⱨ₳₮ ₮ⱤɎł₦₲ ₮Ø ₴ⱧØ₩ ₳ ₴₮ⱤØ₦₲ ₣ⱤØ₦₮ ₩łⱠⱠ ₵Ⱨ₳₦₲Ɇ JɄ₴₮ ⱧØ₩ ₩Ɇ₳₭ ɎØɄ ⱤɆ₳ⱠⱠɎ ₳ⱤɆ."

Infinite gritted his teeth at the insinuation. He was NOT weak. Before he could respond however Error raised his hands causing several blue threads to erupt from his fingers which struck the jackal.

However much to Error's shock they bounced right off the gem in the center of Infinite's chest. Infinite immediately inverted gravity before firing multiple lasers at Error who in his confusion wasn't given any time to react.

Infinite huffed slightly from shock, he didn't know how the destroyer's strings didn't affect him. He had heard what happens when they wrap someone up after all.

"ɎØɄ ₴₮Ʉ₱łĐ ₳₦Ø₥₳ⱠɎ, гРɎØɄ ⱧØ₦Ɇ₴₮ⱠɎ ₮Ⱨł₦₭ ₮Ⱨ₳₮ ₩ØɄⱠĐ ₩ØⱤ₭?" Error stated floating mid-air with not even a scratch. Infinite was annoyed but not surprised, Error was a god.

Infinite created his sword before unleashing countless energy slashes towards the god who didn't even bother to dodge. The slashes either didn't even scratch Error or bounced right off him. Infinite gritted his teeth in frustration at how ineffectual the attack was.

Error laughed at the jackal. "₵Ø₥Ɇ Ø₦ ₦Ø₩, ł₴ ₮Ⱨ₳₮ ⱤɆ₳ⱠⱠɎ ₮ⱧɆ ฿Ɇ₴₮ ɎØɄ ₵₳₦ ĐØ ₳₦Ø₥₳ⱠɎ?"

Infinite growled before creating dozens of red cubes which transformed into various swords, beams and spikes of energy. The attacks were all fired at Error who just stood there. Infinite raised his blade before swiping it down unleashing a large pillar of crimson energy.

A large beam of energy tore straight through the attack and sent Infinite flying through several buildings. Infinite's claws scraped against the ground as he came to a halt. He growled as he raised his blade, coating it in a crimson aura before unleashing a massive wave of energy towards the smug god.

Error's eye-sockets widened minutely as the wave struck him sending him back several dozen feet, but other than that it did no real damage. "₦Ø₮ ฿₳Đ ₳₦Ø₥₳ⱠɎ, ฿Ʉ₮ ɎØɄⱤ ₲Øł₦₲ ₮Ø ₦ɆɆĐ ₮Ø ĐØ ₳ ₩ⱧØⱠɆ ⱠØ₮ ฿Ɇ₮₮ɆⱤ ₮Ⱨ₳₦ ₮Ⱨ₳₮ ł₣ ɎØɄ ₩₳₦₮ ₮Ø ĐØ ₳₦Ɏ Đ₳₥₳₲Ɇ ₮Ø ₥Ɇ."

Error pointed his finger towards Infinite unleashing a barrage of thousands of sharpened bones. Infinite retaliated by creating several red cubes which spun together in a wide circle unleashing countless beams akin to a gatling gun.

Infinite combined the cubes into one large one which he turned into a massive sword which slammed into Error destroying the entire city block they were in from the shockwave. The sword shattered from hitting the god who swiped the dust from his shoulder.

Infinite scowled at how non-chalant the god was. This was starting to get on his nerves. He didn't want to overly exert himself now that he had regained much of the power he had possessed during the war but it seemed he didn't have a choice.

Error just stared at the anomaly before deciding he had enough of toying with him. Countless blue threads erupted from his fingers shredding over half the city in a fraction of a second.

Infinite just barely had enough time to dodge the attack as he beheld the destruction caused so casually. Infinite couldn't help but feel a little nervous, so much power was used so effortlessly. Even at his strongest he would have had to put in at least some effort to replicate such a feat.

That wasn't even the worst part. Infinite could tell that Error was holding back massively for a reason he wasn't even sure of. The god could supposedly destroy entire universes so why wasn't he doing just that?

Infinite dodged a singular burning thread that sliced through the air. Flipping through the air Infinite unleashed a barrage of large energy slashes before gripping his blade with both hands unleashing a massive crescent wave of energy.

Error either blocked or deflected the slashes but was cratered into the ground by the crescent wave. Infinite narrowed his eye at the dust-cloud from the blast before tilting his head just in time to avoid a sharp bone that scraped against his mask.

Infinite looked towards the bone, noticing the blue thread attached to it as he immediately enhanced his body to avoid the many other such attacks just before they struck him. Error clicked his tongue in annoyance, he supposed he should have expected that; the jackal had seen that attack once before already after all.

Infinite unleashed two large waves of energy in quick succession before creating a large sphere of energy, all of which struck at Error. Error created a gaster blaster which blew all the attacks away before hitting Infinite who blocked the beam with his sword.

Infinite gritted his teeth as his boots dug into the earth while he struggled to block the beam. He chose to coat his blade in that crimson aura once again, finally overpowering the beam and destroying the blaster it emanated from.

Error simply stared dispassionately at the jackal not even fazed by that. As the God of Destruction he could have destroyed most of this timeline in the time it would take Infinite to even swing his sword if he so chose. It was only because of the threat he received from The Lord that he wasn't immediately ending this farce here and now.

Infinite drew on more of the Ruby's power as he unleashed a massive barrage of lasers and slashes. Error didn't even bother to dodge them as they struck ineffectually against his body.

Infinite ramped things up as he inverted gravity once again before raising his hand and deciding to try something new. Energy collected in the palm of his hand swirling together in the form of a dark red 4-pointed star. The jackal gathered more and more, compressing the energy as much as he could.

Infinite began to sweat from the exertion, he was drawing on more of the gems power than he frankly should. But that didn't matter. He didn't know why the god was holding back so much but he'd make him regret it.

Finally he chose to change the nature of the energy, a simple beam or slash wouldn't cut it for someone like Error. As he inverted the energy's charge the star collapsed into a sphere of intense gravity, a mini-black hole.

Error's eye-sockets widened at the feat while Infinite grinned. He hadn't been sure he could pull off such a feat as he was now but he was willing to take the risk. Infinite tossed the extreme gravitational object towards Error who created several gaster blasters in an attempt to destroy the black hole.

Error's eye-lights shrunk slightly as the attack absorbed the beams growing larger as a result. '𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭? 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦, 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺. The attack struck Error as a large pitch-black sphere expanded outwards absorbing all of the remaining city and some of the smaller nearby mini-islands. The attack which all-together was potent enough to reduce a particularly large island to less than a cloud of sub-atomic particles, quickly collapsed back into itself before disappearing.

Infinite stared at the massive crater panting in exhaustion from performing such an attack. He'd probably only be able to perform something of that scale maybe 2-3 times at most before he was completely spent.

"Well would ya look at that? What an impressive attack. Didn't expect you to be able to pull off something like that, Infinite~"

Infinite stared at Killer who suddenly appeared while commenting on the act in question. Killer grinned at Infinite who said nothing before turning back towards the crater trying to sense the destroyer god. He doubted something like that would be enough to take him down.

Killer pouted at being ignored. "Well that's not very nice. Don't ignore me."

"Be quiet, I'm trying to focus. If you're not going to help then go away." Infinite stated in annoyance.

Killer grinned before responding. "And what makes you think I'm not here to help exactly? Can't very well let that glitchy bastard dust ya now can I. Actually do you even dust?"

Before Infinite could respond a large blast of energy headed straight towards him and Killer. They both dodged the blast to see Error standing in the crater with only a few small scratches and some tears in his clothes.

Infinite couldn't help but be shocked, all that effort and that was all it did. Killer brandished his knife turning it blood red from his use of red soul magic. Error was staring straight at Infinite in slight anger. "ɎØɄ Ⱡł₮₮ⱠɆ ฿₳₴₮₳ⱤĐ, ĐØ ɎØɄ Ⱨ₳VɆ ₳₦Ɏ łĐɆ₳ ⱧØ₩ Ⱨ₳ⱤĐ ł₮ ł₴ ₮Ø ₣łӾ ₥Ɏ ₵ⱠØ₮ⱧɆ₴ ₩ⱧɆ₦ ₮ⱧɆɎ ₲Ɇ₮ Đ₳₥₳₲ɆĐ."

Infinite was irritated that that was what the god was upset about. Both he and Killer unleashed two waves of energy, one was pinkish-red and the other was dark red with a black tint. Both attacks struck the god interrupting his rant before it could start.

Killer chuckled while Infinite readied for another attack quickly unleashing multiple waves at once. Killer followed up with that by swiping his knife in front of him hundreds of times in a fraction of a second.

Hundreds of red slashes hovered in front of the skeleton as he pointed his knife towards the crater causing it to flash bright red. This resulted in all the slashes striking at once creating a large explosion.

Killer didn't let up as he summoned over a dozen gaster blasters firing their beams into the crater. As he raised his knife, it erupted in a burst of red energy as he swiped downward forming a massive wave of magic that struck Error.

Error teleported away hovering in the sky. Besides an extremely small cut on his cheek-bone there was no other sign that any of the attacks had hurt him. Error was angry at this point, these little bastards had the gall to interrupt him. Not to mention actually doing some damage to him, even if it was extremely minor.

Error blotted out the starry sky with countless sharpened bones attached to strings which he swung downwards at massively hypersonic speeds. Both Infinite and Killer retaliated with a multitude of energy blasts and gaster blasters respectively, destroying the attack.

Killer teleported above Error briefly turning his soul red and unleashing a barrage of red slashes. Error dodged each of the attacks, not daring to try to tank any of them. Infinite crouched low, his body covered in a crimson-pink aura before launching himself towards the god at immense speed.

Infinite swung his blade with two hands unleashing a massive sword beam that sent Error flying away. Killer whistled as the beam struck another nearby floating island and promptly vaporized nearly a fourth of the entire thing. That attack had nearly been as strong as the one Ink had used against Error when destroying Mt. Ebott.

Infinite panted heavily, this fight was getting very exhausting. He wasn't sure how long he could keep this up. A sudden scream of rage as the island was ripped apart in a storm of blue threads signified the destroyer's anger.

The blue threads immediately redirected towards the two, as Killer created dozens of gaster blasters which destroyed most of the threads. Infinite was grabbed by one of them and yanked towards the god.

Error looked furious as he eyed the strung up jackal. "ɎØɄ'VɆ ฿ɆɆ₦ ₳ ⱤɆ₳Ⱡ ₱₳ł₦ ł₦ ₮ⱧɆ ₳₴₴ ɎØɄ ₭₦Ø₩ ₮Ⱨ₳₮? ₮ⱤɄɆ ₳₦Ø₥₳ⱠɎ. ł'₥ ₲Øł₦₲ ₮Ø Ⱨ₳VɆ ₳ ⱠØ₮ Ø₣ ₣Ʉ₦ ₮ɄⱤ₦ł₦₲ ɎØɄ ł₦₮Ø Ø₦Ɇ Ø₣ ₥Ɏ ₱Ʉ₱₱Ɇ₮₴."

Error grinned as he pulled new threads from the tear-streaks on his face. Infinite struggled uselessly in the strings' grip. He couldn't help but notice how the ones Error had created were darker than the normally cyan colored threads.

Infinite screamed in pain as Error shot the threads towards the Phantom Ruby attempting to force Infinite's soul out of the gem. Error cackled madly while Killer sent many slashes and red knives towards the god who destroyed them with a barrage of gaster blasters.

Infinite could feel himself ebbing in and out of consciousness. The pain was extremely intense, it felt like Error was trying to rip his very being apart. Error grinned as he felt Infinite's resistance begin to weaken. Finally he would be rid of that damn anomaly.

Killer scowled at that, he didn't exactly care about the jackal but the boss would be furious if he was killed on his first mission. Killer raised his knife, coating it in a massive aura of red and black that exploded into the sky. Swinging the knife downward into the ground Killer grinned madly.

"Welcome to my special hell, hope you enjoy your stay~"

A giant wave of energy expanded for miles in each direction which formed into a large red dome centered around Killer. Error was surprised at the act, it was advanced red soul magic. He hadn't even known that the crazy murderer even knew how to do that.

Error was annoyed, no way in hell was he dealing with that. "ĐØ ɎØɄ ₮Ⱨł₦₭ ł'₥ ₴₮Ʉ₱łĐ ØⱤ ₴Ø₥Ɇ₮Ⱨł₦₲? ₮ⱧɆⱤɆ'₴ ₦Ø ₩₳Ɏ ł'₥ ⱠɆ₮₮ł₦₲ ɎØɄ Ʉ₴Ɇ ₴Ø₥Ɇ₮Ⱨł₦₲ Ⱡł₭Ɇ ₮Ⱨ₳₮."

Error raised his hand as strange crackling electricity formed from it. Before long the electricity turned into a massive purple-blue bolt that struck the dome completely reducing it to nothing in an instant.

'𝘛𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘣𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩.' Error thought to himself.

Killer's mouth gaped in shock, since when the hell could he do that? Infinite's scream directed Killer's attention away as his soul appeared out of the gem. Error was surprised as he looked at the thing, a magenta-colored soul with black stripes in it. The black was obviously HATE but the magenta? He'd never seen a soul trait like that before.

Error shook off the confusion before directing his strings to wrap around the soul. Finally this would all be over-₩Ⱨ₳₮ ₮ⱧɆ ⱧɆⱠⱠ ł₴ ₮Ⱨ₳₮!

Error panicked as the Phantom Ruby embedded inside Infinite began unleashing a massive amount of something in response to its host's soul being taken from it. The burst of sheer power completely annihilated everything within tens of thousands of miles, not even the memory of it was spared, sending both Killer and Error hurtling through space.

Killer collided with an uninhabited island in complete shock. Holy shit, no wonder the boss didn't want them to try anything towards the guy if something like that could happen. Killer spent a little bit searching for Infinite's presence before teleporting to him.

Infinite was currently out cold due to both the pain of his soul being ripped from him and the Phantom Ruby unleashing all that power to protect him. Killer just sighed seeing the state the jackal was in. Great now he was going to get blamed for this monumental fuck up.

Killer stiffened before quickly turning around to see an irate Destroyer God. "₴Ø ₮Ⱨ₳₮'₴ ₩Ⱨ₳₮ ₮Ⱨ₳₮ ₲Ɇ₥ ₵₳₦ ĐØ ⱧɄⱧ? ł'ⱠⱠ Ⱨ₳VɆ ₮Ø Đł₴₱Ø₴Ɇ Ø₣ ₮Ⱨ₳₮ ₮Ⱨł₦₲ ₣łⱤ₴₮ ₮ⱧɆ₦ ฿Ɇ₣ØⱤɆ ł ₲Ɇ₮ ⱤłĐ Ø₣ ₮Ⱨ₳₮ ₳₦Ø₥₳ⱠɎ."

Killer sweated as he processed the situation they were in. Where the hell was Ink? Wasn't it his job to stop crap like this from happening? Oh well guess he'd have to use THAT if either of them were going to have any chance of surviving.

Error scowled as he stared at the skeleton in his way. "ɎØɄⱤ ⱤɆ₳ⱠⱠɎ ₴₮₳Ɽ₮ł₦₲ ₮Ø ₲Ɇ₮ Ø₦ ₥Ɏ ₦ɆⱤVɆ₴, ɎØɄ Ⱡł₮₮ⱠɆ ₱Ɇ₴₮. ł'₥ ₲Øł₦₲ ₮Ø ₲Ɇ₮ ⱤłĐ Ø₣ ฿Ø₮Ⱨ Ø₣ ɎØɄ Ø₦₵Ɇ ₳₦Đ ₣ØⱤ ₳ⱠⱠ."

Killer grinned as he gripped his knife tighter. "Sorry no can do, I'm supposed to be the one looking after this guy after all. The boss would be pretty pissed if I didn't do my job. Besides, I've still got one more trick up my sleeve."

Killer's grin turned impossibly wide as black goop began to drip from his mouth while the target floating in front of his chest turned into an upside-down heart. An aura of intense darkness burst from his soul turning it almost pitch-black as he unleashed a terrifying laugh.

Error's eye sockets widened as Killer disappeared. He turned around when he felt a hand grip his shoulder only to see Killer with a literal face-splitting grin. His knife was blacker than the void of space and floating above him was a strange system panel.

Error felt intense fear once he saw the button. Killer swung downwards cutting into the destroyer causing a spray of blood as he cut the god from navel to hip. A large wave of darkness erupted from the slash consuming the god in question. Killer panted in exhaustion as he turned back to normal. Using 𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐄 even once was extremely tiring for him.

Infinite stirred as he woke up, his body very sore. "What happened?"

Killer grinned slightly. "You missed the main show and me being totally awesome~."

Infinite tried to respond only for him to feel an intense chill alongside Killer. "W-what is this? I can't stop shaking."

Infinite turned around to see Error bleeding profusely from a massive slash across his chest. He looked extremely pissed off and in intense pain. But that didn't even compare to the utterly insane amounts of power radiating from him.

'So much power, even Super Sonic seems almost pathetic in comparison. How could that be? He wasn't this powerful when we fought him, if he were we'd have never been able to hurt him in the first place.' Infinite thought to himself in fear. Never did he ever think he'd feel fear like this.

Error raised his hands, unleashing millions of dark blue threads crackling with electricity.

"Y̘̮̻ͦÒ̧͉͚ͤͫ̄͡͝Ų̦̭̯ͣ́ͬR DE̴̶̺̖͖̠̓̐ͬA͍̲͉͗̔̽Ḋ Y͐͡Ǫ̶̥͕̖̑ͬ͂͌ͤ̄U̴̴͂̒ͅ L̰̗̺ͨ̋ͨ̋͋͌ͩ̚I̴̋ͧT̛̩̤̠̱͕́̈̚͜T̵͖ͧL̡̨̮̘̣͑E̊͘̕̕ B͋A̢̭͔̔ͧ̊͜͡S̟ͭT̟͚͉̿̄̄̀͟͟AR͕͓͎͊D̸̴̰̰̙͑̏͂͝S͇̬͛̊̾!"

As the threads infused with destruction magic descended a large barrier of golden light surrounded the two protecting them from the onslaught. Error stared in shock before a wave of purple paint covered him. The paint quickly turned into purple chains that bound the god. "₩Ⱨ₳₮ ₮ⱧɆ ⱧɆⱠⱠ?"

"Sorry about that, I was kinda busy with making a new AU. But we're here now so you don't need to worry." Ink stated excitedly while staring at Killer and Infinite.

Dream approached the two while dismissing the golden barrier. As he approached his hands glowed as they were both covered in shells of golden light which rapidly healed both their injuries and exhaustion.

"Why the heck are ya helping us? Not that I don't appreciate it or anything, but you and the boss ain't exactly friends." Killer questioned while palming his knife nervously.

Dream simply smiled kindly in response. "Just because we may be on different sides and you commit terrible acts doesn't mean you don't deserve help. Besides I hope to someday be able to remove the HATE dwelling within both of your souls."

"Such sweet sentimentality, how disgusting. Does anyone but you believe your lies, Brother?" Nightmare appeared while mocking Dream.

Dream stared sadly at Nightmare. "Brother please, I just want to help."

Nightmare scoffed before approaching Killer and Infinite. "The two of you did remarkably well holding off Error for as long as you did. Good job, I'll see to it that both of you are rewarded for your efforts."

Both of them were surprised at Nightmare's admission who grabbed them both in his tentacles which made Infinite uncomfortable at the strange stickiness.

Error growled in frustration as he tried to break the chains binding him, sending his destruction magic through them to try to break them down. However Ink noticed that and put more creation magic in the chains to counteract his counterpart.

Error growled at Ink who cheekily grinned at him. Nightmare went to leave while carrying Infinite and Killer but Dream got in his way. "Get out of my way, Dream. Unless of course you want to fight?"

Dream shook his head while staring Infinite, he shouldn't be surprised that he was seeing him here. "No, I don't want to fight you brother. Please just let Infinite go, he shouldn't even be here. This isn't his multiverse, just let me and Ink send him home."

"Send him home? Shouldn't be here? How absurd, even if I was willing to do something like that I cant. You seem to be under the delusion that I'm controlling him in some way. I'll have you know he agreed to a soul-contract with me in exchange for my aid. I aid him and he aids me, there's nothing else to it." Nightmare stated in amusement.

Dream was shocked by that. Infinite made a soul-contract with his brother? But why? Did his desire for vengeance truly run so deep that he'd willingly make such a deal with him? Didn't he know that soul-contracts with Nightmare couldn't be broken or ever be abandoned? It was practically slavery.

"Besides, don't you think it's a bit cruel to deny Infinite his desires? He's been subjected to some rather horrible things. Taken advantage of at every turn and used by others only to be discarded when he was no longer useful. Such a waste, especially when he has so much potential. Would you deny him that?" Nightmare stated darkly.

Dream frowned at the very subtle manipulation. He knew his brother's ways well. He was the greatest manipulator in the entire multiverse after all. He didn't know what exactly his brother had promised the jackal but he knew it couldn't be truly worth it.

"Please brother, just let him go. He'll never be able to be truly happy with all the things you'll have him do. I felt his resentment, anger and desire for vengeance yes, but beneath all that was guilt and grief for those he lost. Vengeance isn't the way forward, whatever he intends to do to those who wronged him won't satisfy him. It'll be hollow and meaningless in the end, regardless of the pain or death he inflicts." Dream pleaded.

Infinite grit his teeth hearing that. That god dared to challenge his desires in such a way? Where the hell does he get off trivializing everything that's happened to him? That arrogant fool has no idea what he's been through or what he's lost.

Dream flinched at the sudden burst of negativity coming from Infinite while Nightmare grinned at that. His foolish idealistic brother was only digging his own grave. Did he not realize what kind of person the jackal was?

"Honestly Dream, even I didn't think you could say something so heartless. Infinite's parents were murdered right in front of him as a child, forced to take care of his younger siblings at a young age. He spent years being forced to commit horrible acts just to protect his family and keep them alive. And when he finally had the strength to ensure their safety, his own care for them was used against him to ensure his allegiance to someone he despised." Nightmare commented in amusement.

Infinite was shocked by that. How did Nightmare know that? Had he been peeking inside his mind without his knowledge?

Nightmare continued on while savoring Infinite's shock, anger and slight fear. "As if that wasn't bad enough he came face to face with one of the strongest individuals present in his world only to barely last even a minute in a fight against him. Not only that the being in question murdered his siblings who he sacrificed so much to protect. Mocking him for raging and crying about their deaths. The unimaginable feeling of weakness he felt that day made him determined to never be weak ever again."

Infinite began to growl in anger, NOBODY was supposed to know about that. Nightmare just grinned even more at that. "And then when given the power he so desperately craved, it was used to control and force him to make foolish acts all to satisfy some bloated fool's ego. Mocked for his lack of connections by a hero too arrogant for his own good. Insulted for his desire to punish those responsible and told to let go by a naïve time-traveler. Mocked for showing emotion by a failure of an Ultimate Lifeform. After all that, how could he ever show any mercy or forgiveness to anyone ever again?"

Infinite growled in extreme anger while Dream was in shock at that. He hadn't known all that, he'd known Infinite had suffered but not to that extent. He couldn't help but stare in pity at the jackal who suddenly went stiff upon seeing Dream's look.

Nightmare immediately gripped Infinite tighter as he made to lunge at Dream with his claws out. Dream took a step back in shock at the burst of negativity, it was intense enough to cause him to actually get a bit weaker from it.

Infinite was damn near feral growling loudly while swiping at the light god in immense fury. How dare that arrogant god pity him! Condemn him for losing everything that mattered to him! He could never understand what he had lost and how it felt for the so-called heroes of Mobius to condemn his rage and despair!

"LET ME GO! I'M GOING TO RIP THAT FUCKING BASTARD'S HEAD CLEAN OFF! HOW DARE YOU PITY ME! HOW DARE YOU SAY MY VENGEANCE ISN'T JUST!" Infinite snarled loudly like a rabid beast practically frothing at the mouth. His reaction to Sonic's comments about being all alone would have been similar if it weren't for the mind control he had been under at the time.

Nightmare grinned maliciously at the comment even going so far as to lick his non-existent lips slightly. How utterly delicious; such pure and powerful negativity, he could almost get drunk off of it.

Dream was in complete shock. He had been trying to help Infinite, but he never expected him to react so poorly to it. Even so, to emit such negativity should be impossible for any mortal, their soul would fray under such intense negative emotions.

"I understand how you feel, but I think that's quite enough for now. Calm down and relax, Infinite" Nightmare stated while wrapping more of his tentacles around the pissed jackal, releasing Killer in the same moment. A strange feeling swept over Infinite's mind which caused a brief sense of calmness to pervade his mind before being destroyed by his rage.

Nightmare blinked at that. How interesting, so his rage was so immense that even attempts to affect his mind barely had any effect at all even from someone like him? Alright then he'd just have to absorb every drop of excess negativity Infinite was feeling until he calmed down.

Nightmare's tentacles glowed as they began to absorb the jackal's rage, resentment, grief, guilt, and any other negativity he was currently feeling. The dark god shuddered slightly, feeling a bit of pleasure from the sudden rush of negativity. Nightmare hummed in contentment as the jackal slowly calmed down before falling asleep.

"What a truly delicious meal~. I'd almost feel like doing that again if it weren't for the fact that Infinite's soul wouldn't be able to handle the stress." Nightmare commented faintly.

Nightmare created a portal which he began to approach with Killer tagging along while Dream simply stood there watching in sadness. "Maybe I was being too harsh, perhaps I did come off as condemning his reasons. But even so I want to help him. His desire for vengeance, even if he succeeds, won't truly satisfy him. So even if he despises me for it, I'll do everything I can to help him."

Nightmare simply stared back at Dream who had a determined look on his face. "I see. Well good luck little brother, you're certainly going to need it."

Dream simply looked onwards as Nightmare and his two subordinates disappeared into the portal which promptly vanished. Ink just grinned at the entire conversation while Error finally broke the chains and left.
