True Cultivation!

As they walked to get food, Hou thought to himself, 'Maybe I should be glad I've been though so much like reforming my body...and reforming it again...and again and again...I've reformed my body so much...'

He thought further, 'Not much can top all that pain, I should grateful that means I can be lucid in battle despite these injuries...Though I should be lucky I didn't need to since it was just a spar' He looked down at his side where his skin was now bare.

"Jin"

"Do these clothes repair themselves?" He pointed towards the hole in his robes.

Jin shook her head as her eyes dilated a little at how fast he healed, "They don't, unless they're really expensive any sort of enchantment might need with techniques. For that reason we use normal cloth, I'll send a new one to your room, payment on me."

"I didn't even think about that, having techniques activated on the clothes would effect the techniques I try to use wouldn't it..."

"Don't stress about it, you wouldn't think about it until you've had them and I don't suppose you've had much enchanted gear?"

This time it was Hou shaking his head, while also putting on a nervous smile, "No, I haven't really-moving on, 'enchanted' what do you mean by that?"

Jin stopped in her tracks and rubbed the back of her head, "I didn't realise people would not have heard the term haha. You might be familiar with the term 'magical artifact' or 'divine artifact' or 'treasure' it's all the same thing really, it's a 'thing' with enchantments."

"And so enchanted are like...formations?"

"Yes, you could even call them formations. In essence they are the same premise, using laws to create a permanent or sustained effect that does not need a cultivator to 'use' the technique"

"Hmm... interesting"

While Hou and Jin were talking and gathering anyone else who were wanting to have a meal, Xiao ye stood in the middle of the fight scene.

She squinted and took a handful of disturbed sand. She rubbed it between her finger and watched it fall through the air. 

Then she stomped on the ground and her eyes lit up. Her lips turned upwards as she smiled, "it seems I wasn't wrong..." 

She activated a technique to look into the 'essence' of the fight. They were fragmented parts of the past which would fade quickly but as she looked soon after the fight, they remained. 

She saw echoes of the fight replay, but she didn't just see the basics 'what happened' she saw deeper. She honed into one of these 'echoes' and pretended to hold it.

"This little dragon...it's that ring from that day." She swiped at the echo and it disappeared, "It has a deep connection to the blood Dao"

She turned to another echo, one that echoed Hou, she held its chin as she spoke, "I don't need it but I might just take that dragon for myself..."

Then as she was 'holding' the echo it faded, just as many of the other pieces of essence dissipated. She looked back at the fight arena, "Just a few of these slashes remain in essence, what are they?" She squinted her eyes.

She waved her face and as he hand moved past herself she disappeared. She became completely invisible and then in the sand slight disturbances followed Hou and Jin but somehow was not discovered.

"Seems like its a full Tier one night meal!" Hamar sat inside the cafeteria and was eating when he saw everyone else walk in. 

Not just Hou and Jin, but they also got Lan Qiang and Tianmo. Lan Qiang was the first to jog faster and sat beside Hamar, "I heard from a little birdie that you taught Hou some techniques?"

Hamar shook his head, "And he some of his," he held his hand up and a flame flickered to life. From within Hou's body the fire laws were siphoned off and transformed into something useable by Hamar despite his aura. 

Lan Qiang looked at it and patted Hamar on his back, "Good job man!" He held up his hand and created a similar flame, "You think we could spar sometimes? As fellow weapon users with other techniques as sides?"

Hamar smiled and slammed down his hand, dissipating the flame, "No need to ask, I'm always ready to sharpen my swordsmanship with a spar."

"After class tomorrow, follow me then! Remember when you copied my dragon move, I really shouldn't but...I could give you a few hints."

"Hamar bowed a little while still sat down, "And I'll help you and show you something too. I wouldn't want to take advantage of you."

While Hamar and Lan Qiang were binding with their main fighting styles being similar, Hou began talking with Tianmo after getting something to eat. He only nodded at Hamar to indicate he saw him.

"Tianmo, nice to be with you. We haven't talked much, have we?"

Tianmo had a straight face, or at least what Hou could see. He was still wearing the face mask which covered all but his eyes. 

He squinted and squeaked out a response, "Nice to be here."

Hou got caught off guard by his straightforwardness and he struggled to think what he wanted, "well uhh..um- what I wanted to ask was...you have really good control, I saw you before controlling multiple tendrils of sand while doing other things. And I saw in class you use a technique while using intuition...I want to ask, perhaps we could do a trade of some help?"

He paused for a second, "Why would you need my help...you clearly are better than all of us. You did that cube, didn't you?"

Hou heard this and hung his head, "That was pure luck and there's another reason...I thought of a technique and need a lot of multitasking to use it."

"Hmm, I do have some things that could help you indeed but what can you offer?"

Hou thought for a second at what he had both technique wise, materials and what he could actually expose. "How about this..." He whispered something into Tainmo's ear.

Tianmo's eyes widened and he nodded, "That'll do, come to me when you're free and I'll teach you a basic technique that should help you split thoughts for multitasking"

Hou nodded as he thought to himself and partially to Yue, 'If this all works out...I can do something I thought of mid battle. I should be able to use magic while using other techniques, that should be able to give me more in depth control and even higher control of other people's abilities. I had the thought when we started to absorb Jin's blood fog.'
