Transmigration: The Fate of the Villainess

Chapter 248: Extra An apology from a brother Part II

Other than himself, Ouyang Feilong was the other subject of his love that made Ouyang Hongxian human. Ouyang Feilong's love was of the utmost importance!

Today, he summoned his brother and son to hear Bai Yu's thoughts. He wanted to see how they would react, as Bai Yu would surely marry either of them. The conversation continued until his brother kneeled.

Unexpectedly, his little boy kneeled and asked for war that he had always loathed.

Ouyang Hongxian asked him again. Whether Ouyang Feilong truly understood or not, because of Bai Yu, he would immediately enter the fight for the throne. Yet his brother insisted that he would only be his younger brother.

If Ouyang Feilong did not want the throne, then Ouyang Feilong could not be with Bai Yu!

Because 'Bai Yu' was the woman who was born to be the crux that decided the next emperor. He and Mother, including Bai Han and Yue Mei, all knew what this woman was born for.

When Ouyang Mingxian's mother passed, Ouyang Hongxian thought of giving the throne to his brother. But after Ouyang Feilong refused, he thought of giving it to Ouyang Mingxian. Though Empress Wei's passing had caused an alteration in his plan, everything was still in its position. The current titles of Taizi and Empress were all in his plan as well.

Yet Bai Yu had stepped out of his plan without him noticing. At first, Ouyang Hongxian was glad that his brother was interested in a woman. He never expected that his worst fear would come true. His little boy had fallen in love with an untouchable woman. Her status was too high, and his little boy's was at the same lofty height.

"Commander General Ouyang Feilong, hear your royal decree!"

Golden eyes gazed at his brother, who chose the excuse of repaying the debt of her saving his life, even though he knew his older brother would never believe it. He chose to hide his true thoughts and lie in order to comfort him.

Ouyang Hongxian had raised Ouyang Feilong himself with his own two hands. It was not unexpected that a younger brother would have a similar habit to his older brother. The two siblings chose to protect each other in their own way.

Brother, I know how you feel. And you know how I feel. Yet it is too hard for us to follow each other's feelings.

"One month from now, zhen appoints Commander General Ouyang Feilong to lead the army to protect Da Yang's border from Da Chu. Vanquish our enemies and drive them away; otherwise, never set foot in the capital again!"

Because if you return…your brother might not be waiting for you on the throne anymore.

But if you achieve victory...all in Da Yang will know your deeds. No matter what I give you, it will be fitting and never be questioned.

"Don't you know? I will always give you whatever you ask for."

Ouyang Feilong nodded. A light smile was still on his face, which would always be one of a child in his eyes.

This war will not only determine whether you win or lose, but also the path of life you choose. If you won't return, then go. Go far, far away, as your heart has always yearned.

If you do not wish to go, then come back and face the war that I'm leaving. This is the most I can help you, brother.

From here shall be the fate that you choose for yourself. Whatever path you take, I can only wish you safety on the road without me, my boy.

"Do you understand me?"

Ouyang Feilong gave his brother a wide smile.

Ouyang Hongxian could not help himself from mirroring him.

"I understand, brother."

----------------

In truth, it was quite unbelievable for Ouyang Hongxian. The moment he met Yue Nan, his memory as heaven's first prince returned to him. The man in front of him, who was once a woman, made it possible for him to remember everything about his fate.

"You…" Ouyang Hongxian felt as if he could not find his voice. The memory he received was from the perspective of 'Yue Nan,' or the goddess of fate, 'Jiuxian.' And that told him that she had always loved him. "…Are you well?"

"I am well, Your Majesty." Though he was not used to this appearance she had, he still felt the same longing for these same blue eyes. He wanted to pull her closer, to embrace her in his arms, but as the emperor and the first master of the Yue family, Ouyang Hongxian could not do anything further than speak.

Ever since the day Yue Nan secretly came to meet him in the palace, bringing with him the old memory and the need to return to heaven, Ouyang Hongxian frequently summoned Yue Nan to meet him.

One reason was to form a plan for him to return to heaven as soon as possible.

Another was so that they could remain close, to relieve the countless years of longing.

This life was the first after many before where they could not meet. Now that they could remember each other, they did not want time to pass futilely like what they had done while in heaven due to a misunderstanding.

On the night he said farewell to his brother, Ouyang Hongxian could not help himself from teasing her, the woman who he had once thought that she was taking Ouyang Feilong's love from Jiuxian. That was all in his imagination.

"Can I be the one to give you your answer, sister-in-law?"

"Blessings to the Emperor. May—" He stopped her before she could curtsy to him.

"No, sister-in-law. There is no need to be so verbose…" Ouyang Hongxian gently smiled at the woman who had never received his apology. "I am no longer the emperor."

His and Yue Nan's plan was explained to her, the woman who bravely changed their fate and freed him and Ouyang Feilong.

Looking at his brother and her, Ouyang Hongxian understood one thing… No matter in which life, two people bound by love would never be parted by death.

"I have to thank you as well."

"Your Majesty is exaggerating." Bai Yu blinked, chasing away the tears before giving him a smile. She did not know that he was already understating his words. What she had done was more powerful than any word of thanks could suffice.

"He's correct." It was Jiuxian, in Yue Nan's body, who spoke to Bai Yu. The figure with silvery hair moved to stand next to him, just as she would always do when they were in heaven. "Without you, his and my fates will endlessly repeat."

"I must thank you for not giving up," Ouyang Hongxian said with his usual smile. In his heart, he thanked her again and again.

"You're not struggling alone," Yue Nan said to her as she stared, alternating between them. Her eyes were wide to the point of almost popping out of their sockets.

"Yu-er."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"The long period of my penance has ended." The karma of severing your red string of fate and causing the cruel fate to endlessly repeat. Though he, too, was involved in the repeating lives, Ouyang Hongxian was still plagued by guilt. "Now, your brother has a word for the two of you."

Back then, he was too preoccupied with his disappointment at his brother, and so he did not give them the blessing for their love. Every word and every action directed toward them could be traced back to the old incident where his magic beast tore them apart. From now on, he would wait for his brother's return. Heaven might change, but the prince of heaven would always be two.

"Shall we return to heaven?"

"Yes…" Heaven needed a general. Heaven needed a crown prince. Though unwilling, Ouyang Hongxian must return. But before that, he had a request for the person in front of him. "…But you must return to your true form as soon as we arrive back there."

"Your Majesty?" Such a trivial matter should not be a cause of concern for Heaven's Taizi.

"Nan-er, no, Jiuxian…" His golden eyes gazed at the person next to him, and then, a thought formed. "…Jiu-er."

"Y…You…" The change in name caused the one who had always remained calm to stutter. "…Why are you calling me that?"

"You are my future wife. There is nothing out of the ordinary."

After the misunderstanding that had caused everything, she had prepared herself for his reaction. She knew that she would have to reveal her true feelings to him. And so, she tried to act solemn to provide help for him. Fortunately, after they met, Ouyang Hongxian never spoke or acted in a way that acknowledged her feelings for him. But when he did, the incarnated goddess did not know how to respond.

"Jiu-er…"

"Yes, Your Majesty." With her mind still in chaos, she answered out of habit.

"Change back… I don't want my wife to be a man."

You have caused Miss Bai to misunderstand already. Don't do it to the heavenly denizens as well!
