After grade 11 was grade 12 which was when they had to take the legendary college exam, so most teachers were already slowly preparing them for the life changes that was about to happen.

Unlike the other classes, homeroom C was laid back and conversation drifted from one head to the other while Teacher Wang shouted on top of his voice, giving the inspiration speech he always recited before he began his class.

As usual no one seems to be listening.

Shen Wanqing felt admiration towards him. Teacher Wang really cared about his student, even sacrificing his vocal cords to try to knock done sebses into their heads.

Glancing around the class, Teacher Wang sighed deeply.

This kids were really the cause of his headache, day and night.

He believed that no student were born dull and they just need someone to guild them to the right path.

"Fang Yichen why are you eating in my class?" Teacher Wang fatherly thoughts were pushed aside as he glared angrily at the student next to the class monitor who was sneakily muching on a pancake.

Caught in the act, Fang Yichen quickly shoved the remaining pancake into his mouth. His jaws round and slightly protruding as he said. "I didn't eat breakfast..."

"Shut your mouth and chew first." If not for the distant the homeroom teacher felt like smacking the back of his head painfully hard.

But then he might choke.

Old Wang massaged his temple, feeling that his blood pressure was about to go over the charts.

He pointed at the space near the entrance of the door. "Go. Stand there until the class ends."

Fang Yichen was about to let out a protest only to be shut down by the glaring looking in Teacher Wang's eyes.

His deskmate next to him snickered mockingly making his expression turn sour.

After the short squabble, the math class started.

Shen Waqing was very familiar with the topic so she let her thought wander off.

The person behind her didn't come today again too.

It has been almost a week since Shen Waqing transferred to homeroom C. 

Although she tried not to pay too much attention to it, she can't help but notice that Xiao zhan is absent most of the time.

He would leave before self study class or just not come to school at all.

She looked down on the newly turned page of the note in front of her, staring blanking.

What is he doing?

But then thinking that he was a delinquent student, Shen Waqing thought that there was no need for an explanation.

The novel did say much of Xiao Zhan's school life. Only that he was once helped by Pei Ruxue who then became the white moonlight in his heart.

When they met again he had already become the black hearted CEO villain.

Why am I so curious about him? I should worry about myself first. 

Shen Waqing shook her head, glancing out of the window.

The system first task was still at 5 percent. She planned to go home and see if there was a way to get it done quickly.

The mission did not have a time limit, but it being unknown made her more uneasy.

"Student Shen." 

"Uh...." Shen Waqing looked up subconsciously only to notice that the entire class including teacher Wang was already staring at her.

She realised she spaced off.

Teacher Wang didn't point it out and just repeated the question again. "Student Shen would you like to answer the question the board?" 

Shen Waqing furrowed her brow. Staring st the math expression. 

She didn't stand up, or walk to the board to solve, only spitting out the word. "Two."

Two. Teacher Wang was visibly surprised. He asked curiously. "Why do you say the answer is two?"

"Because solving the question it the answer is two." Shen Waqing said straightforwardly.

Did she just solve it using her head? The class monitor's eyes showed surprise and he couldn't help glancing at Shen Waqing twice.

"Then can you try solving question two?

The whole class held their breath as Shen Waqing looked at it in less than twenty seconds and then spat out. "The fraction one over four. Zero point two five."

"You can do it like that?" Lin Xinyu muttered to herself.

Hell! She won't be able to solve it even if she was given a sheet of paper.

Are all the students in homeroom A this smart?

Old Wang asked her a few more question, before turning to continue his class. 

He thought she wasn't listening because she already understood the topic very well and didnt disturb her anymore.

Shen Waqing picked up the past question she was working on. Her eyes moved around aimlessly until she ran into Fang Yichen who was standing lazily at the door.

He lets out a loud snort and then looks away.

Shen Waqing was puzzled.

When did I annoy this person?

Shen Waqing felt like she had been influenced by Pei Yuwei's boba addiction. 

Maybe it's because I keep drinking it every day. Habits are really hard to change. She thought to herself.

The vending machine is located at the hallway on the path to the canteen.

Shen Waqing slipped in a coin and pressed the drink she wanted. 

After waiting for a about a minute she looked at the unresponsive machine with doubts.

Why isn't it working?

She pressed the button again but the drink won't come out!

Am I getting scammed by a machine?

Shen Waqing was about to give up when someone came from behind her.

She stepped to the side barely making out the flawless and cold side profile before he threw a punch at the machine.

The vending machine hummed then immediately coughed up for boba drinks.

Shen Waqing eyes went round, completely stunned.

Xiao Zhan?

"Not going to pick it up?" He raised a brow and she quickly snapped out of her thoughts.

"Ah..thank you." She quickly bent to grab the drinks lying on the ground. She explained awkwardly. "I don't know what happened but it got stuck."

When she stood up she saw Xiao Zhan getting a bottle of water for himself.

The machine worked fine!

How come it didn't for me?

As if sensing her thoughts, Xiao Zhan said without looking back. "The machine goes crazy sometimes. The school already tried fixing it but it remains the same."

Shen Waqing nodded thinking that unlike how he was described in the book the villain seems nice.

This is the second time he helped her out with something.

"Next time, just hit it hard and it will definitely come out." Xiao Zhan said before walking away.

Shen Wanqing looked at the four drinks she was holding. She only wanted two, but somehow, it might have been because of Xiao Zhan's hit four came out.

Without a choice she paid for the extra two before heading back to class.

Unfortunately, seemly by coincident she ran into the male lead and the second make lead with their group of second generation rich kids.

Shen Waqing made up her mind to maneuver around them but she was quickly obstructed.

Looking up the handsome face was right in front of her.

So it isn't a coincident. He was coming for me.
