Seeing this adopted sister of hers was unresponsive, Pei Ruxue waved her hand in front of her face. Calling out. "Yuwei."

"Huh..." Shen Waqing replied absentminded before pulling out if her thoughts. "Yes?"

"The driver already arrived. Let's go home together." Ruxue said gently, a breeze like smile on her face.

The original owner didn't treat Pei Ruxue well and even when the other approached her she would ignore her.

Shen Waqing was surprised Ruxue could still be so nice to her.

"Okay." She followed Pei Ruxue to the black luxurious car parked at the opposite side of the road.

Pei Yuwei had her own apartment which was bought because of its convenience of being close to her school, while Pei Ruxue stayed at the mansion and was brought to and fro by a different car each day.

Shen Waqing recovered herself quickly and step through the front gate. 

Pei Ruxue hurried to catch up with her. She skipped cheerfully. "It's been long since you last came home right. You should take a look at the garden, me and mom planted begonias. They are very pretty."

"White roses?" Shen Waqing had a subconscious reaction as she blurted out. "What about the the white roses there before?"

"The roses..." Pei Ruxue pursed her lips into a pout. "They were dying so we decided to change it. "

"Oh.." Shen Waqing remembered Pei Yuwei planted those because her mother seemed to like it.

Walking into the house, she waved off the maid who tried to carry her bag, heading upstairs to her room.

The room was about the size of the same size as the apartment Shen Waqing used to live.

There was a big closet to the side and a king size bed which was neatly arranged with two perky pillows.

The walls was painted with a light shade of blue, which was different from the one back at Yuwei's apartment.

Shen Waqing changed out of her uniform and put on comfortable house clothing before heading downstairs.

The sound of cheerful laughter hit her as she approached the kitchen. There seem to be a lively conversation going on.

Ruxue was still on her uniform was animatedly explaining something funny that happened to her at school. Mummy Pei was behind the stove, while daddy Pei assisted her. Both of them listening attentively.

Although they was cook at home, mother Pei would cook sometimes. 

This only increased since when Pei Ruxue arrived.

The family atmosphere was beautiful and it looked like a perfect picture.

Shen Waqing stopped in her steps. 

Everyone became silent when they noticed her and she lowered her eyes saying plainly.

"I am back."

She was abandoned in her last life and lived her whole life as an orphan, so the word mom and dad was a bit hard for her to pronounce.

"Oh...you are back." Mother Pei said. "Wait a little more, dinner will be ready."

"Okay." Shen Waqing felt weird staying so she went to the living room.

Her speed was fast and she didn't need to calculate to get an answer.

By the time a maid came to call her she was already almost done with a hundred questions.

Shen Waqing out away her phone and walked to the dinning room.

She wondered the reason they invited her for dinner. Yet as soon as she started eating all the unanswered questions were swept to the back of her mind.

Father Pei asked her some perfunctory questions about school and no one mentioned anything about her result.

Shen didn't know if it was a good thing or bad thing.

"How are you preparing for the end of term exam?" Father Pei asked Ruxue who replied with a face full of determination.

"I have been studying really hard. I will make sure to try and get full marks in English this time."

Pei Ruxue's favorite subject is math and it was what she was most confident in.

"Don't push too much pressure on yourself and take care okay?" Mother Pei said worriedly. She seemed to realise she had another daughter and turned to Shen Waqing."

"Try coming home more often. What do you eat at home? You seem to have lost a lot weight." 

"Hmm." Shen Waqing hummed a half ass reply but suddenly a loud ding went off in her head.

Like a loud explosion her ears buzzed, her eyes staring numbly until a mechanical voice sounded in her mind.
