After the crowd finally stopped clapping and slowly dispersed, Ye Fan waited for a few minutes to allow his heroism to start spreading among the attendees.

Then once he was positive that Luna has heard about his heroic act, Ye Fan strode confidently towards Luna's exhibition stand and began talking to her.

Ronald, who had been secretly following behind Ye Fan this entire time, didn't immediately go over and perform his generic rich second generation villain role right away though and waited for Luna and Ye Fan to get aquainted with each other first.

Then a few minutes later, Ronald checked the time on his watch and decided that it was finally time to start his performance.

'Let's do this.'

Ronald adjusted his suit, casually walked over to Luna and Ye Fan while deliberately making his footsteps loud to get their attention, and started speaking.

"Hey dumbass! How dare you strike up a conversation with my fiancee without my consent? You're courting death!"

Ronald slowly threw a fist at the back of Ye Fan's head, who immediately dodged the punch effortlessly.

"What the hell asshole! Who goes up to someone like this and tries to hit them out of nowhere? Have you no shame?" Ye Fan turned around angrily and retorted.

Since he had actually spent some time overseas researching about the major families in the city of Jinhai after he had fully built up his power and influence over there, Ye Fan naturally knew who the lowlife scum who tried to hit him was, and almost everything there is to know about him.

But still, he didn't expect this asshole to just try and hit him like this!

If it wasn't for the fact that he was one of the four gods of war in the Western World, he would've been absolutely humiliated just now.

"I do that, buddy, and let me tell you this, I can make you completely disappear from this world right now with just a snap of my finger, so if you know what's good for you, you better get the hell out of here and also stay away from MY Luna right now." Ronald stated his lines accordingly in the novel while maintaining a posture of an extremely arrogant person.

"First off, Luna isn't a property, she's a human being, so you have no right saying 'my Luna' as though she is an object that belongs to you. Second, do you really think threatening me will make me scared of you?" Ye Fan asked disdainfully.

"Haha, of course you should be scared, but judging by your appearance, it looks like you don't know who you're dealing with." Ronald smiled haughtily.

"It doesn't matter who you are. Even if you are god himself you don't have the right to treat others like this!" Ye Fan then turned to Luna and said, "Miss Xuan, I'm not sure if he's your fiance like he claims to be, but if he is, then please do something about him."

Ye Fan had actually also investigated Luna's background before returning to China and so he was completely aware that Luna didn't like any of her pursuers, and even had a disdain for Ronald specifically, especially since he was her only pursuer that her family couldn't go up against, and so he was certain that Luna was going to stand up for him.

Plus, no girl likes such a violent man anyways, and only someone as charming and dignified such as himself could stand side by side with her!

Everyone in the crowd who was watching this occur couldn't help but start to worry for Ye Fan.

They all knew that Ye Fan was an upstanding individual that had potentially saved countless attendees from getting a terrible skin care product, and they didn't want to see such a person get hurt.

But that's Ronald Kuangge he's going up against!

Other than the notorious reputation he had, everyone knew that Ronald was the Young Master of the Kuangge family!

The family that suddenly appeared out of nowhere and dominated one-sixth of the entire market in Jinhai within just 20 years!

Only Luna gets that privilege since she's engaged with Ronald and he wouldn't want his family to do anything to her, but even then, there was only so little she could actually do to him.

As everyone continued watching, both Ronald and Ye Fan, who could see Luna's face clearly, were extremely happy inside.

She had such an angry and disgusted look on her face that they both were certain that she was going to berate Ronald.

Ye Fan's mouth couldn't even help but slightly smile for a brief second.

He knew that his goal of impressing Luna had succeeded, and sooner or later, he was going to make Luna his woman.

Of course, he hadn't forgotten his original goal of slowly building up his influence in China so that he could learn what led to the downfall of his family and eventually avenge them, but that can always wait.

Besides, Luna also has a decent amount of influence hereself, mostly because she was regarded as one of the four beauties in China, and so she can help him slowly start to build up his influence as well.

While Ye Fan was happily lost in his thoughts, Luna suddenly did something so out of character for her that it made the whole venue freeze as though time had stopped.

Smack!

Luna raised her hand and slapped Ye Fan across the face. 

The slap was so loud and crisp that it echoed throughout the entire trade show and left a red mark on Ye Fan's face.

"Shut up." Luna stood inbetween Ronald and Ye Fan, and then took out her handkerchief to wipe off the filth on her hand she had gotten when slapping Ye Fan just now.

"..." Ye Fan touched his face in disbelief.

Never in a million years would he had ever expected Luna to literally slap him, and for this loser no less.

Did he somehow get his information wrong? Does Luna actually like Ronald by any chance?

But there's no way!

He researched everything about her thoroughly.

Not to mention that his gut feeling was telling him that Luna was the one for him, and his gut feeling was never wrong.

There must be some kind of misunderstanding!

Ronald on the other hand was just as confused as Ye Fan was.

'Isn't Luna suppose to be the first heroine?'

'Am I even in the right novel right now?'

'Is she crazy, or am I crazy?'

"Miss Xuan! What did I do to offend you?" Ye Fan furiously shouted.

"Everything. Your name, your voice, your face, your hair, and even your existence. They all offend me." Luna wasn't afraid to answer truthfully and offend Ye Fan.

Sure, he might have some powerful backers oversea, but she knew that most of his backers won't help him in China as long as he's still alive since it was extremely hard to bring over foreign forces to the hearts of China.

The resources spent simply wouldn't be worth it at all.

There was only one person that she needed to be wary of that was on Ye Fan's side at the moment, but she'll deal with her once that time comes.

"Now get lost." Luna looked directly into Ye Fan's eyes and spat out in a bone-chilling tone.

This made Ye Fan panic inside for the first time in years.

He didn't know why, but there was something deep within Luna's beautiful red eyes that shook him to the core...

Like a monster peering at him through the darkness.

Of course, this dread only lasted for a short bit though, and he immediately felt humiliation afterwards.

And he wasn't simply going to let this slide.

"Miss Xuan, all I've done was be nothing but nice to you ever since I first came up to you, and this is how you treat me? Ye Fan crossed his arms and scolded.

That was why he said such a high number, as he knew that Luna couldn't possibly refuse, and would most likely beg him to reconsider.

And he can't wait to see the look on such a pretty woman's face when it happens.
