Transformers Prime: I am Allspark

Chapter 80: The Touch Part 40

City: IACON

[72 Days After Megatron's Appearance]

Orion was immersed in piles of metal books, the only table in the place looking like a mountain of organized books, not to mention those lying on the floor.

He read so many books, not only to distract himself, but also to find the right words to speak to Megatron. He was trying to find the right way to talk to his brother again, a way to restore their friendship like before.

However, another part of his mind was focused on the split image of Megatronus Prime in the Allspark Temple, trying to understand what had happened to make this legendary Prime appear that way.

He couldn't help but remember the phrase that described Megatronus Prime: Chaos cannot be avoided, but it can be controlled.

This phrase had a lot of symbolism in its interpretation, even more so for Orion, who knew the legend and simply couldn't stop remembering that being that represented chaos in Cybertronian culture: Unicron.

"According to legend, Unicron's powers are linked to the corruption and manipulation of the afterlife, and it is described that he can revive those killed in battle to use as soldiers, pitting friends and allies against each other." Orion whispered, reading the book in his hands as he walked in circles around the table piled high with books.

He couldn't help but find the power to raise the dead a bit superstitious. It was information that had more to do with legend than fact. For the legend clearly stated that at the beginning of the war against Unicron, there was only Primus and the Allspark, and soon after, the Thirteen Primes took over Primus' role to defeat Unicron.

None of the stories indicated how Unicron was born, how a god like him came to be, the stories indicated that yes, he was real. However, the supposed ability to resurrect the dead that he possessed could not be real if in the war against Unicron himself, only the Thirteen Primes existed as the only living beings in the universe at the time.

The stories make it clear that none of the Thirteen Primes died in that battle, and shortly after his triumph over Unicron, he disappeared into the cosmos, leaving only a prophecy that he might return.

"What did he mean by chaos being controllable?" Orion wondered as he walked through the halls of the library.

He even considered that it had something to do with the legend of the Dark Energon, the fragments of Unicron's own fossilized blood that provided access to a small but powerful portion of Unicron's power.

"Chaos is not a metaphorical concept because of the legends surrounding Unicron. It is a word that represents the literal concept of the term, such as destruction, disorder, and war." Orion whispered, walking down a dark corridor without looking at the ground.

He carelessly trips over some thrown books, causing him to fall to the floor, making him grunt internally in pain and anger for such a silly and avoidable oversight.

Just as he was about to get up, Orion noticed something curious on the floor that was right under the bookshelf, there were marks on the floor, as if something heavy and large had been moved in a single direction several times.

Orion looked under the bookcase and saw something that surprised him, because what was behind the bookcase full of hundreds of books, was what looked like a door. "A door? Am I hallucinating?"

He removed a large number of books from that shelf to reduce the weight, to move it from place to place, allowing him to clearly see an old door, which was half open a few centimeters.

"A secret room…" Orion was tempted to investigate the hidden room, but a part of him hesitated as he remembered his teacher and father figure. However, he remembered how Elita always demanded that he should try to be adventurous and live his own life a little more, making him consider exploring the room. "A little peek never hurt anyone."

He entered the room, the darkness of the place was quite uncomfortable as if it had been abandoned many years ago, much more than it actually appears. He clicked on a small switch on the wall, making the lights flicker with a fault, some of them even didn't turn on because they were obviously broken.

"What is this?" Orion's eyes focused on the dozens of weapons stored and lined up, along with dozens of other pieces of equipment. "This is an armory, but why would you have an armory here?"

Orion looked at the wall and saw dozens of damaged swords and shields, dusty with time. Weapons that Orion recognized from illustrations and drawings in history books.

Orion touched one of the swords with the fingers of his hand, running them along the edge of the blade. "The weapons of the Knights of Cybertron."

He looked into a corner of the room and saw what looked like an old panel with analog buttons, a technology that had been discarded long ago.

Orion ran his hand over the machine, removing the excess of accumulated dust, causing a small cloud of dust to form. When he saw the yellowish button that looked a little worn, he pressed it, causing the machine to turn on, along with a buzzing sound.

"Let's see what you can show me." Orion clicked the buttons a few times at random, trying to figure out what each one did.

After a few minutes, he was able to operate the device, although there was a considerable and somewhat annoying delay. He was able to access a series of audio files that had very interesting descriptions.

[| BATTLE 284-90 |]

[| BATTLE QWJ-41 |]

[| BATTLE OF HHK-88 |]

[| BATTLE OF THE MOON RR-70 |]

[| BATTLE OF THE ECLIPSE |]

"Battle of the Eclipse"? Was this the last recorded mission of Megatronus Prime and his Decepticons?" Orion asked himself, his curiosity overflowing. "These must be audio recordings of their communication network with each other, but why are they stored here?"

He looked around with many doubts in his mind, but since he had a rare and unique opportunity, he decided to have a little faith that this computer could still transmit these audios.

"Maybe these audio recordings are in the ancient language, but if I pay close attention, I can understand some words and guess the rest of the sentence."
