Chapter 9: 9- Bruce Banner

Sam found Hulk soon enough, right when his fight with Abomination was getting good. He was currently swinging giant chains around, whipping Abom with the broken ends. Catching them, Abom reeled Hulk in before taking his turn with clobbering his arch enemy.

Sam sighed, flying in to assist. "Battery power running low Mr. Tracy."

'Injecting Energon, go ahead and run some tests on it Jarvis, it might work for Tony's Paldium replacement.'

Doing as he said, the arc reactor in his chest glowed a bright blue and had arcing purple sparks bouncing off of it, giving others a hint of the power hidden within him.

Slicing the back of Abomination's knees, Sam effectively crippled him as his legs fell out from under him. Taking advantage of the lack of fight in Abom, Hulk wasted no time to start laying into him, nearly crushing Sam underneath the thing as a crater formed from the weight of the blows.

Sam watched from the sidelines as Hulj continued to pummle Blonsky into the ground, giving him a firm introduction to the chemical makeup of the concrete. "Uhh, buddy? I think he's out."

Blonsky's body had gone limp after the fourth punch from Hulk. Soon realizing that he had won the fight, Hulk stood to his full height, placed a foot atop of Abomination's downed body and roared the loudest he could, announcing his triumph against a filthy imposter.

"Stand down Banner! You too Tincan! I'm bringing the both of you in!"

Freezing, both Sam and Hulk turned to the soldier who just spoke as if asking, 'tf did you just say?'

"First if all, call me Primus. Second of all...no?" Sam laughed, causing Hulk to snort as well. The big guy was liking him more and more every moment, mostly because he didn't seem to want to attack him, but Sam'll take what he can get.

The soldier, who turned out to be one General Ross, became infuriated that he couldn't control these two, especially with the sound of sirens closing in. "YOU WILL STAND DOWN NOW OR I WILL BE FORCED TO OPEN FIRE!"

Sam just looked at Ross like he was stupid, or had a stick up his ass. "You can't even hurt us?"

Hulk, bored of this encounter, decided that he wanted to leave, so he did. The big green muscle monster bent down and just leaped away, causing a few of the soldiers around them to open fire.

Taking advantage of the commotion, Sam blasted up into the night air with his boosters, still glowing blue and purple.

(About an hour later)

Hulk, having finally found a place to rest, sat down and slowly began to shrink, turning back into the great scientist Bruce Banner. Looking around himself, he soon found that he was in an abandoned building alone, but not for long.

A bright light appeared in the darkness, a damaged mechanized humanoid showing itself not too long afterwards, causing Banner to panic.

The humanoid, Sam, raised his hands, "Woah there, Banner, I mean you no harm. Please keep your heart rate down if you could."

Bruce, who was about to turn tail and run, felt his intuition as a scientist go off towards the man in front of him, who soon glowed before...separating into two people?

Only one was actually flesh and bone now and the other was a slightly damaged silver armor suit. "Who are you?"

Sam smiled, trying to keep Bruce calm for the moment. "My name is Samuel Tracy, I'm here to help you."

Bruce raised a brow. "As if I haven't heard that before."

Sam smiled sheepishly. "I don't much like seeing someone being chased by the government. Too many of my friends have been chased by bad people, not to mention that I'm also at risk of that kind of attention too."

"How?"

"I'm a mutant, with an Omega Level Mutation. I'm sure Ross has had his eyes on me ever since I awoken, not to mention all the secret organizations I'm sure are listening right now."

Bruce relaxed heating this, it made sense that he would try to help if he worried about experiencing the same thing. Only, why would he stick his neck out now?

"Because I can." Sam answered him plainly. There was no need to beat around the bush when Bruce wasn't a very sensitive person. Well, except for when he got a bit annoyed.

Bruce laughed. "Yeah, I imagine an Omega level mutant can afford to let loose everyone and a while. So... how can you help me?"

Sam shrugged. "I live up in Stark's place and he dose the care enough to ask questions about who I bring around."

Bruce looked at him a bit weird. "But won't he assume that..."

Sam laughed at the unfinished sentence. "I don't much care, plus it won't be long before I start seeing this one girl."

Bruce shook his head at Sam's antics, deciding that he was plenty tired of running around. "If you've got some free food, then I don't mind a bit of tortur."

"That's a weird thing to say, Bruce. I'm not like that!"

"Yeah, we'll see won't we?"

"Well I guess you'll have to take a shower somewhere-"

"No, I'm sorry!"

"Humph!"

Both of them paused, before breaking out laughing. "I think we're gonna be good friends."

"Yeah, now come one Bruce, I'm tired and I need to get this thing back to Tony before I break it anymore."

"What's is that anyway?"

"You'll probably see it on the news soon, knowing Tony." Sam grumbled, knowing the extream lack of impulse control Tony had at this point.

"Whatever man, I'm starving after a long day of fighting."

"You're the one who started making weird comments." Sam said, smirking.

"Whatever." Bruce rolled his eyes.

Sam shook his head, having had his fill of getting on Bruce's nerves. "Come on, let's go get you a shower. We both know you need it."
