Chapter 291: Invasion (10)
It didn't take long for the captains to gather.
It seemed that they placed quite a bit of importance on Yun Tian that they gathered so quickly when he called them.
Though it also seemed that they had been briefed on the matter by the ones that they sent to watch over him as they had serious looks on their faces.
Once everyone was gathered, they couldn't wait as they asked Yun Tian, "What did you find?"
They didn't even need to ask what this meeting was about, they were certain that Yun Tian had found something.
It seemed like there were no empty vases that reached the level of captain. Those that were able to achieve that rank had some skills to a certain extent and could figure things out quickly.
Though I wasn't so certain of Captain Fang…
Since they had already figured things out so quickly, Yun Tian didn't waste any time as he took out the ring that we found.
The captains had confused looks on their faces as they looked at the ring that Yun Tian showed them before turning back to look at Yun Tian with inquisitive looks. They were all waiting for him to explain just what this thing was.
Yun Tian hadn't said anything as he had been waiting for this reaction from them.
Once they all looked at him, he said, "This is what they've been using to hide themselves."
As soon as his voice fell, all of the captains deeply knitted their brows and looked at him with serious looks on their faces.
The way that they were looking at him was as if they were trying to figure out if he was being serious or not. Only when Yun Tian looked at them with that calm look on his face, they had no choice but to take him seriously.
It was just that this was a bit too hard for them to believe…
After a long tense silence, one of the captains asked, "Since you're claiming this, I'm sure that you must have some kind of proof of this, right?"
All of the captains looked back at Yun Tian when this was asked as they waited for his response.
Only Yun Tian didn't respond right away.
This time, he hesitated for a moment before saying, "There is a way…"
Hearing his voice trail off like this, the captains slightly knitted their brows before one of them asked, "But what? Just tell us what you need already."
Yun Tian gave a nod when the captain was being this straightforward with him and said, "I need an Abyss Crystal."
The captains revealed surprised looks before deeply knitting their brows this time.
They once again looked at him as if they were wondering if he was serious or not.
It was all because he asked for this Abyss Crystal.
As for what this Abyss Crystal was that would elicit this kind of reaction from the captains…
Well simply put, this Abyss Crystal was a special drop item that only rarely appeared in the Abyss in the first place. It was a rare drop that only came from the high grade Abyss Demons.
As for why it was only the high grade Abyss Demons that dropped these Abyss Crystals, that was because of what the Abyss Crystal was.
The Abyss Crystal was a crystallization of the Abyss Energy that the Abyss Demons possessed and it was unknown what caused it to condense as this Abyss Crystal.
However, since it had condensed into an Abyss Crystal, that was enough to show the amount of energy that was contained within this crystal. It wasn't a small amount of energy that this crystal possessed.
Though since it was Abyss Energy, it wasn't something that could be tapped into that easily.
The large amount of condensed Abyss Energy made it seem as if the Abyss Crystal would be useful in many different things, but the reality of it was that humans still hadn't figured out how to tap into it yet.
The energy contained within the Abyss Crystal was just too violent for them to channel into anything useful, which was why it was simply used as bombs.
Unlike having to channel it, it was easy to provoke the energy inside the Abyss Crystal to expand outwards which would create a large explosion.
Since it could be used to create large explosions, it was only natural that the Abyss Guards would be given some of these Abyss Crystals.
But for Yun Tian to ask for one now…
The captains didn't say anything in the end as they all looked at Yun Tian with strange looks, but Yun Tian just stood there with a calm look on his face as he waited for them to do anything.
In the end, one of the captains suddenly took out a red crystal and walked over to hand it to Yun Tian. However, he didn't move away after handing that Abyss Crystal over and just stood over him as if he was observing what he was planning to do.
Yun Tian didn't mind this at all.
Once he got his hand on the Abyss Crystal, Yun Tian didn't waste any time in bringing the Abyss Crystal over to the ring that he had been holding.
Then as they watched him with strange looks, Yun Tian seemed to disappear when the Abyss Crystal touched the ring.
After a while, Yun Tian reappeared in front of the captains, but he was in a completely different position.
He was right up in front of them and was close enough that he could take them out if he wanted.
The captains were surprised by this, but they understood what this ring was now.
It was just that they still couldn't help feeling confused.
When had the Abyss Demons created such a thing?
And if they had something like this, did that mean that they had other things as well?
This thought caused grim looks to appear on the faces of the captains.
