The Ytherrian Luminary

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: The Fist of Love and Fury

Xalin's heart raced as his markings flared to life, glowing brighter than ever before. His body surged with divine energy, his breath coming in deep, controlled rhythms. The crowd fell into an awed silence as they witnessed the transformation. This wasn't just Xalin anymore—this was the Luminary, the spirit of past warriors coursing through him, including one who had mastered Haki.

Qi Han, sensing the shift, chuckled and discarded his walking stick. His shirt ripped apart, revealing well-toned muscles beneath his frail exterior. His eyes gleamed with excitement as the air around the arena grew wild, currents swirling with untamed force. Han's arms turned black as he coated them in Armament Haki, the hardened skin gleaming like steel.

The two combatants stared each other down, and with a sudden burst of speed, they both dashed forward, leaving shockwaves in their wake. As they neared each other, their fists cocked back, the tension crackling through the air. They unleashed simultaneous punches, but the two fists never touched.

An energy ball formed between them, the raw force of their strikes colliding mid-air. The power built up rapidly, and with a violent BOOM, the energy exploded outward, sending both fighters flying backward, lightning crackling from the sheer intensity of their clash. The ground beneath them shattered, fissures snaking across the arena floor.

Xalin quickly regained his footing, grinning in exhilaration. This wasn't just a fight—it was a battle of wills, a test of raw power. His body moved with precision, now guided by the knowledge of past Luminaries. He could feel the mastery of Haki flow through him, something he had never trained in but now wielded with effortless control.

Qi Han, unshaken by the explosion, wiped the dirt from his cheek and laughed. "Good! Show me everything you've got, Luminary!"

Xalin took off, running in circles around the arena at blinding speed, using air currents to increase his velocity. As he spun around, his eyes locked onto Qi Han. He stomped down with force, raising his arms and bending the earth beneath Han's feet. The ground surged up like a tidal wave, threatening to engulf the old master.

But Qi Han wasn't fazed. With a mighty punch, he shattered the debris as if it were nothing, then leapt forward, closing the distance between them in an instant. Their hands met, fingers interlocking in a test of strength, both coated in Armament Haki. The air around them hummed as they pushed against each other, neither willing to give an inch.

The ground beneath their feet cracked and caved, but they continued to push. With a grunt of effort, Xalin broke Han's balance, pushing his arms down and catching him off-guard. In that split second, Xalin coated his leg in Haki and delivered a powerful kick to Han's stomach, sending him flying like a shooting star through the arena, crashing into the stone wall at the far end.

Xalin's grin faded, replaced by a fearsome frown as his markings glowed even brighter. He roared, and fire burst from his arms, legs, and mouth, mixing with the swirling air around him. The ground trembled as rubble rose into the air, and water began to coil around him, creating a vortex of elemental fury. His body shot upward, propelled by a powerful air cocoon, gathering speed as the elements raged around him in perfect harmony.

Han, undeterred by the earlier blow, jumped from the rubble, his eyes blazing with determination. He soared toward Xalin, but Xalin anticipated the move. He extended one arm, catching Han mid-air, and with his other arm, he delivered a devastating punch. The punch wasn't ordinary—it was infused with a spinning drill composed of the four elements: air, fire, water, and earth. The drill spiraled forward, hurtling toward Han like a raging storm.

With sheer force of will, Han shattered the elemental drill, but Xalin wasn't done yet.

Han landed and clenched his fists, his muscles bulging as he prepared to unleash his ultimate technique. The crowd grew silent as they felt the pressure building. This was a move that had made Qi Han a legend: Galaxy Impact.

The air around Han warped and distorted as he gathered all his strength into his fists. He took a deep breath and with a mighty roar, he unleashed a punch so powerful that it created a massive shockwave, blasting through the arena. The shockwave rippled through the air, tearing apart stone walls and sending debris flying in every direction. The ground buckled under the sheer force of the attack.

But Xalin was ready. As Han unleashed his devastating blow, Xalin quickly encased him in multiple air and water cocoons, layering them one after the other. The cocoon absorbed the shockwave, and with each ripple, the energy bounced back inside, trapping Han in his own attack. The force of his Galaxy Impact reverberated through the cocoon, ultimately overwhelming him as the shockwaves rebounded with devastating effect.

The ripple effect left Han reeling, collapsing to his knees as his body trembled under the weight of his own attack.

Xalin floated back to the ground, his body exhausted but victorious. The elements around him faded, and the markings on his body slowly began to dim, retreating into his skin as his Luminary state came to an end. His body wavered, and with one final breath, he collapsed onto the arena floor, unconscious from the toll of the battle.

The arena was silent. The spectators were in shock, their mouths agape at the raw display of power they had just witnessed. The legendary Qi master, Han, lay defeated, and the Luminary had triumphed.
