The war beneath the stars

THE NEXT DAY,

Fabio Reis and Artur Cruz sat in silence. They had agreed to seek out Asahi Rei whoever he was but all they had were bits of information from Artur's haunting dreams.

[Artur nodded his head.]

"He might be our only chance at getting answers. Whoever... or whatever... is behind all of this, Asahi could have the key".

The search could cost them dearly but they were driven by the hope that somewhere, Asahi could explain everything.

MEANWHILE THE SAME DAY,

Nina stepped out of her car. She adjusted her coat, feeling the badge of the newly formed Task force Omega. She arrived at the prison.

[As she approached the gates, a guard stepped forward.]

"I'm Nina Oliveira, Task force Omega. I am here to conduct an inspection on an ongoing case." She said.

[The guard raised an eyebrow but stepped aside, letting her enter.]

Inside,The warden noticed her.

"We were informed about your visit , Mrs.Oliveira. But i didn't expect you so soon." Said the warden, bowing his head slightly.

"Time is of the essence, I need full access to the records and the inmates who have been in isolation recently." Nina replied.

She was lead down a series of corridors, they passed several cells. She noticed each one's behaviour as if every movement holded a clue.

In the warden's office, she was handed a thick folder detailing recent events at the prison.

A report caught her attention, mention of an inmate who had died just days earlier under same bizarre circumstances. Flowers has blossomed on him and somehow, his spinal cord is removed.

"Were there any visitors to this inmate?" Asked Nina.

"No, ma'am but... I should tell you, we are holding someone here who's far from ordinary." The wardener hesitated.

"The inmate you are describing, his death isn't the only unusual thing around here. Spain's most notorious criminal Asahi Rei is here as well."

Nina's attention sharpened. Asahi Rei, a name infamous in law enforcement circles. Known for his cunning unmatched intelligence and connections to darkest corners of organized crime.

Asahi's reach was unparalleled. Even behind the bars, he wielded considerable influence.

" Asahi Rei.... what's his status?" Asked Nina.

"He's in maximum security. His movements are restricted. But , we have observed strange things around him. We have tightened our protocols since his arrivals." The warden replied.

Nina added Asahi Rei to her suspect list.
