Chapter 4. I am Daemon!

Amethyst went to open the door. Who could it be? Was it her roommate? When Amethyst opened the door, she saw Muna and Junia standing there.

"Girls, what are you doing here?!"

"We came to visit you," Junia said.

Muna looked around the room.

"Hey! Is your room bigger than ours?"

"Maybe!" Amethyst shrugged.

"Amethyst, why don't you take off that robe? I've never even seen your face properly!"

"No need!" Amethyst replied.

"Why not? Are you hiding because you're ugly, or is it some childhood trauma?!" Junia asked excitedly, not knowing that Amethyst was far more beautiful than herself.

"Come on, Amethyst!" Muna urged.

"Alright! Alright!" Amethyst reluctantly agreed.

First, Amethyst removed her veil, then she pulled the hood of her robe off her face.

"Oh my God!"

"Amethyst! You...!"

Amethyst was truly stunning. Her skin was pure white and glowing, her long, graceful legs, red lips, small nose, firm hips, and her hair and eyes—turquoise, pink, and purple. Her hair reached the floor. She looked like a masterpiece carved from marble, drawn with the finest pencil.

"Amethyst, you're so beautiful! Why are you hiding yourself?"

"To avoid problems."

Junia was still in shock. She managed to say,

"Breathtakingly beautiful!"

Muna took her back to their room. Five minutes later, the doorbell rang again.

"Muna, what did you forget?!" Amethyst called.

When she opened the door, there was a boy standing in front of her. He was incredibly handsome. Amethyst couldn't help but stare at him. His blue hair, white skin, icy blue eyes, and naturally red lips... The boy couldn't help but look at her as well.

Inside, he thought, "So beautiful!"

Amethyst snapped back to reality and realized she wasn't wearing her robe. She slammed the door in his face, and the boy stepped back in pain. Amethyst quickly put her robe and veil back on and opened the door again. The boy noticed she was trying to hide herself.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Amethyst asked.

"This is my room. I came to check. Are you my roommate?"

"Oh?! Yes! Uh... I'm really sorry," Amethyst stammered.

The boy entered the room.

"If I looked as good as you, I would hide myself too."

"What's your name?"

*"Daemon. And you?"

*"Amethyst."

"Amethyst?... You're the level 5 girl, right?"

Amethyst lowered her head. Daemon noticed.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it like that!"

"It's fine. I've gotten used to it. What level are you?"

*"I'm level 7."

*"Oh, okay! What's your power?"

*"Sacred Ice!"

"What?!"

Amethyst jumped up. Then she realized she had overreacted and sat back on her bed.

Daemon laughed.

"What are you laughing at?"

"You look so cute when you're embarrassed!"

Amethyst blushed even more.

"I'm going to bed!"

*"In that robe?!"

*"Yes!"

*"Why? You've already seen my face. Aren't you torturing yourself?"

*"What if someone else comes in?"

*"I won't let anyone in."

"What if you fall asleep?"

Daemon thought for a moment. Then he got up, grabbed a rope, and tied it to the door handle. He pulled the rope up and wrapped it around the nearby boards. Then, he attached a few bells to the end.

Amethyst watched him closely. She got out of bed and approached him.

"There, it's ready!"

"What's this?"

"An automatic alarm system!"

Amethyst looked at him confusedly.

"Don't you get it? If someone opens the door, the rope will move, and the bells will ring. We'll wake up."

*"I understand."

"Now go back to bed!"

Amethyst returned to her bed. Daemon did the same. When they both turned away from each other, their eyes met for a brief moment. As they faced the wall, both were thinking about each other...
