Chapter 28: Alex's Second Birthday and His First Word

A Year of Growth

Another year had passed, and Alex had grown into a lively, curious two-year-old. His bright eyes were full of wonder, and his playful energy brought joy to everyone around him. Simon and Gigi couldn't believe how fast time had flown.

The Morning of Alex's Birthday

The day started with Simon waking Alex up, gently ruffling his son's hair.

"Good morning, birthday boy!" Simon said with a big grin.

Alex blinked a few times before breaking into a smile and wrapping his tiny arms around Simon's neck.

"Da-da!" Alex said softly.

Simon froze, his eyes widening in shock and joy.

"Did you just say 'Dada'?" he asked, his voice full of emotion.

Alex giggled and repeated, "Da-da!"

Simon's heart melted. He scooped Alex up and carried him downstairs, bursting into the kitchen where Gigi was making breakfast.

"Gigi, you won't believe this! He said his first word—it's 'Dada'!"

Gigi turned around, her face lighting up. She rushed over, kissing Alex's cheek.

"Alex, can you say it again?" she asked, smiling.

Alex looked between his parents and happily repeated, "Da-da!"

Simon couldn't contain his pride. "That's my boy!"

The Birthday Party

The theme for Alex's second birthday was "Little Explorer." The backyard was transformed into a mini adventure park with inflatable slides, ball pits, and a small treasure hunt.

Family and friends arrived throughout the day, showering Alex with gifts and love. Kris and the Kardashian-Jenner sisters made sure the party was grand, bringing in professional photographers and a custom three-tier cake.

Simon's battalion brothers also came, each bringing a small gift for Alex, from toy soldiers to books about adventure.

Alex's Big Moment

During the cake-cutting ceremony, Alex surprised everyone again. As Simon and Gigi helped him blow out the candles, Alex pointed at the cake and said, "Yum!"

The room erupted in laughter and cheers.

"Looks like someone is learning fast!" Simon said, laughing as he hugged Alex.

A Family Toast

As the evening came to a close, Simon stood up to make a toast, holding Alex in one arm.

"Thank you all for coming to celebrate our little explorer's second birthday. Watching Alex grow has been the greatest blessing of my life. Every day, he reminds me of what's truly important—family, love, and making memories like these."

He looked at Gigi and added, "And to my beautiful wife, thank you for being my rock and the best mom Alex could ever have."

Everyone clinked their glasses, toasting to Alex's second year.

A Quiet Night

After the party, Simon and Gigi tucked Alex into bed. He was exhausted from all the excitement and quickly fell asleep.

Simon leaned down and kissed Alex's forehead. "Goodnight, buddy. You're growing up too fast."

Gigi wrapped her arms around Simon. "He's just like you, you know. Strong, smart, and full of life."

Simon smiled, pulling her close. "Let's cherish every moment. He'll be a teenager before we know it."
