"Hm… You found a supporter that quickly?"

"Yeah… I guess you could say that."

Inside their familiar private consultation room, Yoru casually explained the events of his day to Eina.

Hearing that he had finally encountered a monster, Eina couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief—it felt like watching a child finally grow up.

But his casual attitude toward choosing a supporter made her visibly exasperated.

"A supporter is an extremely important part of any adventurer's team! You can't just choose one carelessly. A good supporter can be a great help, but a bad one can get you killed!"

She said this quite seriously. Yoru nodded along obediently, almost too fast.

"…Okay, stop nodding like that. It's making my head hurt."

Eina chuckled helplessly and pressed on.

"So, you've worked with her for a little while now. What do you think of this girl—Liliruca, was it?"

"Hm… she's a good kid. Doesn't talk too much or cause trouble, and she knows her role as a supporter very clearly. But… she seems overly self-conscious, maybe even insecure. And she's very wary—like she doesn't trust anyone."

Even though they hadn't spent that much time together, Yoru had already gotten a pretty clear read on her personality.

"I see… that's actually a pretty big issue."

Eina frowned thoughtfully at his description.

"Of course, that's just my guess. Maybe something happened in her past that made her distrust people? But since she's just supporting me in the dungeon, I don't think it'll be much of a problem."

Eina nodded. In her mind, Yoru didn't seem like the type to pry into others' personal business. Whatever baggage that girl might carry wasn't really his concern.

"Anyway, what kind of monster did you run into today? How many magic stones did you get?"

With the supporter topic out of the way, Eina leaned in curiously, eager to hear about his harvest.

"None. I accidentally shattered the magic stone while freezing the monster."

Yoru shrugged with a helpless smile, leaving Eina speechless for a moment.

"…You shattered it?"

Even though she had personally felt the power of his magic before, Eina still found herself stunned by the answer.

"Maybe… Hestia-sama was right all along. You really are someone whose talent is so strong it's a little scary."

"Mm. But next time, I plan to avoid using magic. I'll try using my weapon instead."

As he spoke, Yoru gestured toward the longsword strapped to his back.

"Ah… now I understand why your goddess gave you such a weapon."

Eina tilted her head slightly and chuckled.

"But… Yoru, are your physical stats okay? That sword might be hard to wield if you're relying mostly on magic. Especially in deeper floors."

She remembered Hestia saying that Yoru's magic stat was unusually high. That would imply his other stats were more average. That might be fine in the upper floors, but deeper down, it could be dangerous.

"I'm not an idiot. If I run into something I can't handle, I'll just use magic to deal with it."

Yoru said with a small laugh, amused by her near-motherly concern.

"…Right. That does make sense."

Eina blushed slightly at his response—an unusual sight.

By the time Yoru left the guild, the sun was already beginning to set. When he returned to the rundown church, Hestia had already prepared dinner and was waiting for him.

"So? What kind of supporter did you end up hiring? Was it a boy or a girl?"

She asked this question not long after he sat down. Judging by her expression, she seemed a lot more interested in the supporter's gender than their actual qualifications.

Yoru couldn't help but chuckle as he shook his head. Then, as if to tease her, he answered:

"Hm… a cute girl, actually."

"Eh?! A c-cute… girl?!"

Hestia practically jumped like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. She stared at him in disbelief.

"H-How could you?! A girl can't be of much help to you in the dungeon! You need a more reliable supporter!"

"But I think Lily is great. She's not worse than any other supporter I've seen."

"L-Lily?!"

"Oh… that's her name."

L-Lily?! He's already calling her that casually?! T-That damn supporter… she must've used some dirty trick to seduce him!

No, I can't let this continue. I need to meet that girl and make it clear—Yoru belongs to me! A supporter should know her place!

As Hestia plotted in her mind, she suddenly noticed Yoru looking at her with an amused smile.

"You're so cute when you get jealous and pout, Hestia."

"W-Who's jealous?! I couldn't care less about some mere supporter! As if I'd get worked up over her!"

Hestia crossed her arms in full tsundere fashion, the motion causing the blue ribbons around her chest to emphasize her—clearly unrealistic—curves.

But a moment later, her true colors showed, and she leapt at Yoru like a koala, clinging to him with her whole body.

"Yoru! You can't just call any girl cute! You already have someone even cuter right next to you!"

"Of course. My Hestia is the cutest of them all."

Yoru gently stroked her head as he said that, which only made the previously bold Hestia flush red with embarrassment.

"Yoru… you've really gotten smooth with your words lately. You've definitely been working hard to win over Riveria, haven't you? You're not nearly as stiff as you used to be."

"…Really?"

Yoru touched the tip of his nose thoughtfully. Now that she mentioned it, he had changed quite a bit.

"Still… if only you could be a bit bolder, a bit more ambitious…"

With her face slightly flushed, Hestia rested her head against Yoru's chest and whispered softly.

"Bolder, huh… I think I've already been pretty bold."

Yoru chuckled, rubbing his nose again. Whether it was wandering around the dungeon solo, or confessing to Riveria—that kind of stuff went way beyond "bold."

Yoru had always had a large reserve of courage. Or maybe… he'd just never really understood the meaning of fear.

"That's not the kind of bold I mean…"

Hestia mumbled quietly into his chest—but her voice was so soft that it barely reached his ears.
