Chapter 74: Chapter 74: The Yellow Tiger Gang
Chapter 74: The Yellow Tiger Gang
Mu Feng took out a blood pill from his spatial ring, swallowed it, and lay on the ground to refine it, quietly restoring his internal energy.
Meanwhile, under Xi Yue's control, the Shura Divine Jade absorbed the blood essence from the corpses on the ground. The souls of the deceased turned into faint lights and were drawn into the Shura Divine Jade.
Xi Yue refined these soul lights to replenish her energy.
Out on the streets, hundreds of Mu family disciples were searching and calling for Mu Feng.
At the Wang family tavern, Mu Zhong stood with a group of Mu family members, his expression grim as he surveyed the corpses and the damage to the furniture caused by the battle.
Grabbing the tavern's servant, Mu Zhong coldly demanded, "Where are the people who were just here?"
"Sir... Sir, the young master who was here earlier was chased by members of the Yellow Tiger Gang. I don't know where he went," the servant stammered, trembling under Mu Zhong's intimidating aura.
"Yellow Tiger Gang!"
A murderous gleam flickered in Mu Zhong's eyes. "What kind of force is the Yellow Tiger Gang?" he asked.
Mu Hai, standing nearby, frowned. "The Yellow Tiger Gang is a local group with a few hundred members. Their leader, Wu Hu, is a martial artist at the Condensed Gang Qi Realm."
"If anything happens to Young Master Feng, I, Mu Zhong, will eradicate the Yellow Tiger Gang!"
In his rage, Mu Zhong slammed his palm onto a table, reducing it to splinters, startling both the servant and the shopkeeper, who collapsed to the ground in fright.
"Brother Feng..."
Bai Ziyue and Mu Lan, who had accompanied Mu Zhong, looked worried.
"What are you all standing around for? Go and find Young Master Feng!"
Mu Hai barked orders at the nearby Mu family disciples, who immediately fanned out across the streets and alleys in search of Mu Feng.
In the alley, Mu Feng, having recovered some of his energy and strength, stood up with the help of Little Tian. He pulled out some bandages from his spatial ring and wrapped the wound on his chest.
Thankfully, it was winter, so the cold helped to minimize the blood loss.
Feeding a blood pill to Little Tian, Mu Feng glanced at the blood-drained corpses on the ground. A white flame ignited in his palm, reducing the bodies to ashes.
Little Tian, slightly propped up, was even taller than Mu Feng. Together, they walked out of the alley.
"Ah! A beast!"
"A giant python!"
As soon as they stepped onto the street, the sight of Little Tian sent the passersby into a panic. People retreated, terrified of the massive snake.
"Roar!"
Little Tian let out a fearsome hiss, causing the onlookers to shrink back further in fear.
Mu Feng stroked Little Tian's head, calming its aggression slightly.
Little Tian was a fierce beast. Though intelligent, it still harbored hostility and aggression towards others.
"Young Master Feng!"
"Young Master Feng!"
Mu Feng heard the voices of Mu family disciples calling for him from the distance.
"I'm here!"
His shout brought five or six disciples running towards him.
Upon seeing Little Tian, they hesitated, casting wary glances at the snake before bowing respectfully. "Young Master, we were late. Please forgive us!"
"It's fine. Where's Uncle Zhong?"
Mu Feng waved them off.
"Uncle Zhong and the family head are searching for you. It's such a relief that you're safe. Young Master, are you hurt?"
One disciple noticed Mu Feng's injury and hurried forward to support him.
"You're only noticing now?"
Mu Feng muttered in exasperation.
One disciple took out a signal flare and launched it into the sky. A fiery red qilin emblem burst into the air, signaling their location.
"Look! Someone has found Young Master Feng!"
Mu family disciples across the city rushed towards the flare's location.
Before long, Mu Zhong, Mu Hai, Bai Ziyue, and a large group gathered on the street.
"Young Master, you're hurt!"
Mu Zhong's expression darkened upon seeing the wound on Mu Feng's chest. "Are you alright?" he asked, his concern evident.
"It's just a surface wound. I'm not going to die," Mu Feng replied nonchalantly, waving off the worry.
"This is my fault. I failed to protect you, Young Master. Please punish me."
Mu Zhong dropped to one knee, guilt etched on his face.
"Please punish us, Young Master!"
The other Mu family disciples followed suit, bowing deeply.
The surrounding crowd watched in shock, wondering about the young man's identity to command such reverence from the Mu family.
"Uncle Zhong, get up, all of you. This isn't your fault. It's our own mess," Mu Feng said, helping Mu Zhong and the others to their feet.
"Brother Feng, is your injury serious?" Bai Ziyue asked.
"It's nothing. By the way, where's Xiao Kuang?"
"Xiao Kuang suffered some internal injuries and is recovering back at the family estate."
"Good. As long as he's alright."
Mu Feng nodded. Xiao Kuang had taken a blow from Wu Bao earlier.
"That Yellow Tiger Gang dared to attack our Mu family disciples, and you? Hmph! They really don't want to stay in An Nan City, do they?"
Mu Hai's anger was palpable.
"Young Master, give the order, and I'll lead a team to annihilate the Yellow Tiger Gang. I can't rest easy until I've avenged this disgrace!"
Mu Zhong's killing intent was evident. Mu Feng was the only heir of Mu Tian. If anything happened to him, Mu Zhong would never be able to face the family.
"The Yellow Tiger Gang is indeed too arrogant," Mu Feng muttered coldly.
"Uncle Hai, gather the family's martial disciples. I'd like to meet this Yellow Tiger Gang leader in person."
"Understood!"
Mu Hai launched a signal flare into the air, summoning the Mu family's martial disciples.
Soon, three to four hundred Mu family members, including over sixty Purple Core Stage experts and seven elders, assembled and marched towards the Yellow Tiger Gang's base.
The Yellow Tiger Gang's headquarters was a large courtyard. The two guards at the gate, seeing the massive group approaching, ran inside in a panic to alert their leader.
Moments later, a tall man in a tiger-skin coat emerged with a large group of followers. This was Wu Hu, the leader of the Yellow Tiger Gang.
Upon seeing Mu Hai and the others, Wu Hu's face shifted. He quickly clasped his fists and forced a smile.
"Ah, it's the Mu family patriarch. What brings you here today? Please, come in!"
Wu Hu's flattering tone betrayed his fear. He knew Mu Hai, a top-tier expert in An Nan City, was at the Condensed Gang Qi Realm and far stronger than himself.
"Why I'm here? Hmph! Wu Hu, your men dared to attack my family's disciples tonight. Did you know about this?"
Mu Hai's tone was icy.
"What? Such a thing happened? It must be a misunderstanding!"
Wu Hu's expression changed, and he quickly turned to question his subordinates.
