The Superior Spider (Marvel)

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Title At The End

(Peter: POV)

The following day after my very first visit, and then tort-I mean training session at Kamar-Taj with Yao I began working on collecting all the necessary parts to build myself an untraceable phone.

Which is actually cheaper than most would think.

You just need the right knowledge, which I definitely have.

Not that I'm bragging or anything.

Nope.

Anyway.

I started making the phone, but knew it would take some time to be completed.

That's why I didn't rush it and after spending a few hours at the Spider's Den returned home and spent the rest of the day enjoying some quality family time with Ben and May.

I then faced the dreaded weekend blues as I woke up on Monday and dragged myself to school.

Where everyone was talking about me.

And by me I mean Spiderman.

Since I'm the only one right now.

Reaching my lockers I saw the others chatting.

"Hey guys. So, you all talking about Spiderman as well?" I asked.

"Yeah Peter. I mean, who isn't?" Ned spoke. "Unless that's not your thing of course. I mean..."

I waved Ned off. "It's fine Ned. I know what you mean. And it's fine Spiderman is most definitely a thing I'm cool with discussing."

Especially since I know everything about him.

"Oh,thank god." Ned said. Breathing a sigh of relief. "I thought you were going to be like Gwen and get all tight-lipped about it." He spoke.

Only for Gwen to smack him slightly upside the head. "I'm not tight-lipped about Spiderman Ned. I just think I need some more time to see what he's really all about before I form my opinion of him."

"Wow Gwen have you been talking to my uncle Ben behind my back? Since he said something similar the other day." I spoke.

"I have not." Gwen easily replied.

After she did I turned to Harry, whose been silent up to this point.

"Harry, what do you think of Spiderman?" I asked him.

Only for him not to respond.

"Harry. Yo, Earth to Harry." I called to him.

"Hm, what?" He said. Looking at me. "Sorry, what were you talking about Pete?"

"I was asking you what you think of Spiderman? Also, are you okay?" I questioned.

"Ah, yeah. Don't worry. It's nothing. Just my dad got really weird yesterday when he saw the news about Spiderman." Harry revealed.

"Really, how?" I asked.

Working not to sound to eager for an answer.

Though I am. Since if Norman had such a reaction to Spiderman they may be a chance I'm dealing with a version of him more similar to his comic counterparts. Which if that is the case means I need to step up my progress in all things.

For I need to be ready to slay a Goblin should it appear.

"I mean he yelled at my mom out of nowhere. Now he's been hold up in his office working. Totally out of the blue." Harry revealed.

"Well has he ever done anything like this before?" Gwen asked.

"He has. But he always comes out of it." Harry replied.

"Then I don't think you have too much to worry about." Gwen spoke.

"Yeah." Ned added.

"That's right." I spoke. Moving her to Harry and giving him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "I'm sure your dad will be fine. And if not you and your mom just need to talk to him." I spoke.

"Yeah, you guys are probably right. Thanks."

"What are friends for?" I questioned.

With that we all started preparing for our first class of the day.

Though my thoughts were focused entirely on Norman Osborn and his strange behavior that Harry mentioned to us.

Me really hoping it doesn't lead to events similar to the first Spiderman film in Tobey trilogy.

(3rd Person: POV)

Sitting in his personal office at his home Norman Osborn couldn't get Spiderman off his mind.

[Insert Image of Norman Osborn Here]

And he didn't want to.

Since Spiderman was exactly the kind of creation one of his former employees, and friend, Richard Parker and his wife Mary had centered their research at Oscorp around.

Along with Dr. Curt Connors.

A cross-speices hybrid.

A human which had its DNA integrated with that of a specific animal species. Who could then display that animals inherent characteristics. Such as sped, strength, optical camouflage, even regeneration of lost limbs.

Cross species genetics would've revolutionized the entire world.

Yet that did not come to pass.

Since years ago Richard and Mary destroyed most of their work and fled, having never been seen again.

Norman couldn't find a trace of either of them.

He had looked.

Yet all he got was nothing.

Norman had also found no trace of any of the work the scienctist couple had destroyed.

Until now.

In Spiderman.

Leading Norman to ask himself many questions.

Who is Spiderman? What connections does he have to the Parker's? How did he obtain his powers?

These and several other questions is why for the last couple of days Norman has been gathering his resources to properly investigate Spiderman.

Determined to discover the truth of this man no matter what.

For he feels in doing so it will give him answers to questions he has long sought.

[March 1st, 2011]

(Peter: POV)

Webbing through the city I continued my nightly patrol.

Having decided to start it a few days after I helped the police stop Alexei and his gangs.

Since I felt my training was going well enough.

That's why I've started handling muggers, and thugs.

I've even stopped a couple of carjackers and rapists.

Though nothing to extreme yet.

I'm walking before I run. Unless push comes to shove.

Though I hope that doesn't occur until I've completed my untraceable phone and started my own media profile.

The phone itself is close to completion by the way.

Just a bit longer until I-

"All units be advised. A silent alarm has just been tripped in the diamond district. I repeat, a silent alarm has just been tripped in the diamond district."

I heard a police dispatcher say into my left ear.

Where I am currently wearing an earpiece I made, that I synced up directly to the NYPD communications network.

To make it easier to stop or assist with crimes.

"Diamond district here I come." I spoke.

I then began swinging towards it.

That is until I saw a shadowy figure moving across rooftops in the opposite direction.

"Looks like I already found my thief." I said. Swinging towards them.

Only for them to briefly turn and notice me.

As such they then picked up the pace of their running.

Too bad for them they're still too slow to outrun me.

Easily getting closer I swung up into the air and did a flip, before landing directly in the patj of the escaping thief.

"Okay. That's far enough..." I began.

Only to trail off when I got a better look of who exactly the thief was.

It looks to be a girl about my own age, dressed in a skin-tight black uniform, with white boots and gloves, a domino mask across her face, and pure white hair cascading down from her head.

There's only one person in Marvel I know who matches this description.

The Black Cat.

[Insert Image of the Black Cat Here]

Staring at me she smirked. "Well Spiderman, hello there." She purred.

Giving me a playful look.

Making me wish my costume wasn't so skin tight.

Since something is close to rising and it's not the Shield Hero.

Damn teenager hormones.

Title: Black Cat

------------------

A/N: Yep, the Black Cat is Here.

I decided to introduce her and Felicia before the romance between Peter and Gwen gets too far along. So the three of them can have a stable relationship in the future.

Also I'm not into Yuri NTR. But just to let those of you who don't know in on it, in the mainstream comics Felicia Hardy is openly bisexual. Which will make things easier for the coming relationship between her, Peter, and Gwen.

But again, no NTR.

Also yes, Norman Osborn is moving as well. But not in the way many of you are probably thinking. If you want to know more than continue reading the fic. Well until next time.
