Chapter 66: Shea Haulia
Upon seeing the beastman elders seated around the round table, the members of the Rabbit Tribe began to tremble, thinking they had been captured by some special means.
At that moment, a bunny-eared girl with long, straight white hair tinged with a hint of blue stepped forward. Her deep blue eyes were striking, and her white eyebrows and eyelashes complemented her fair skin. She had a tall, slender figure, with a particularly prominent and attractive bust. Combined with her bunny ears and fluffy tail, she was as cute as could be, rivaling Arifureta in beauty.
"Elders, please forgive my tribe. It's all my fault," the bunny-eared girl, who was Shea, pleaded. Just as she was about to kneel, she suddenly felt her bunny ears being grabbed by two hands.
"Wow, these bunny ears are so soft! They feel amazing! Ai-chan, you should try them too."
"Eh???" Shea was stunned as she looked at the stunning girl who suddenly appeared in front of her, who was now playfully stroking her ears. The sorrowful expression she had just shown while pleading with the elders froze on her face. "Um... who are you?"
But instead of receiving an answer, she felt another pair of hands gently squeezing her ears. Another sweet female voice came from behind, "Mmm, as expected of Shea. These bunny ears feel incredible."
"Hey, listen to what I'm saying!" Shea, having snapped out of her daze, blushed furiously and shouted. She quickly took a step back, pulling her ears out of the reach of the four mischievous hands.
Just as she was about to say something more, Shea's face turned pale. She suddenly remembered her tribe's situation and realized that these two girls, who could move freely in the council room, must hold very high status. She feared that her behavior might have angered them.
Panicked, Shea hurried back to Eriri and Arifureta's side, gently placing her ears back into their hands, a tearful expression on her face. "Um... you can continue..."
"Pfft... Hahaha!" Eriri and Arifureta both burst into laughter. Eriri playfully pinched Shea's soft, delicate cheeks, "Shea, you're just too cute!"
Shea, still confused, asked, "Do you know me?"
Eriri gave a mysterious smile. "Of course we know you, but you don't know us."
Eriri's cryptic response only made Shea more curious, like a cat having its curiosity piqued.
At that moment, the five elders who had been seated at the table also approached Eriri and Shea. With respectful tones, they said to Shea, "Miss Shea, we have decided to lift the punishment on the Haulia Tribe. You and your people are welcome to return to Verbergen."
Seeing Eriri's attitude toward Shea, the elders immediately understood why she had gone to such lengths to help the Haulia Tribe. They no longer dared to oppose Shea or her tribe and even showed her respect, fearing that Eriri might hold them accountable.
"Elders, is this true?"
Shea's face lit up with excitement, and the Haulia Tribe members also showed expressions of disbelief and joy.
"Of course."
"But..." Shea still had some doubts in her heart. Didn't all the tribes in Verbergen deeply despise her as a Forbidden Child?
Seeing the confusion in Shea's eyes, Elfreric quickly bowed to Eriri and then explained to Shea, "This lady helped us realize our mistakes and ignorance. We will never repeat such actions, and the term 'Forbidden Child' will forever disappear from Verbergen."
Shea finally understood why the elders had suddenly changed their attitude. She didn't have time to think about how a human like Eriri could make the beastman elders change their principles. Shea quickly bowed deeply to Eriri. "Thank you so much for helping the Haulia Tribe. I will never forget this kindness."
As the heavy burden in her heart was lifted, Shea instinctively wiped away the tears that had formed in the corners of her eyes. Over the past few days, she had been overwhelmed with guilt, knowing that her tribe had been exiled from Verbergen because of her. Although her people had never blamed her, she couldn't shake the sadness and self-reproach.
Now that the issue was finally resolved, Shea was overjoyed and grateful to Eriri, her feelings toward her reaching new heights.
Seeing Eriri and Shea interacting, the elders quickly returned to their seats, not daring to interrupt. The members of the Rabbit Tribe also stayed where they were, too nervous to approach Eriri, who seemed to hold the highest authority.
As Shea stood before her, Eriri couldn't help but notice the deep cleavage and the soft, white flesh on either side. She inwardly felt that her eyes had been blessed.
Regaining her composure, Eriri gently helped Shea to her feet and, noticing her revealing attire, waved her hand. Instantly, a white dress appeared on Shea, with a special opening at the back for her tail. "Shea, you shouldn't dress so revealingly in the future."
"Oh..." Shea looked down at the dress she was now wearing, then glanced up at Eriri, somewhat embarrassed. "Our Haulia Tribe doesn't have much, so we could only dress like that..."
Then, a look of joy spread across her face. "This dress is so beautiful and comfortable!"
"Mm, as long as you like it. I'll get you new outfits later."
"Um... may I ask your name?" Standing so close to Eriri, Shea shyly asked.
Eriri smiled and playfully pinched Shea's fluffy bunny tail. "No need to be so formal. Just call me Eriri Spencer Sawamura or just Eriri."
"Okay." Shea didn't resist Eriri's actions, blushing shyly as she smiled. Then she turned her gaze to Arifureta.
"Shea, I'm Arifureta, but you can call me Yue-chan, just like Eriri," Arifureta introduced herself with a smile. She paid no mind to Eriri's behavior towards Shea, as it had become a familiar sight to her.
