They then pulled out two large bags, which seemed quite heavy.
“Half is compensation for Lord Nero, and the other half is our living expenses,” Claudia explained.
“King Leo has instructed us not to indulge in luxury, but to live a modest life,” she added.
One bag was filled with gold coins, while the other contained what appeared to be uncut gems. What level of modesty are we talking about here? Well, I guess as long as you can work, it’s fine. This is the perfect opportunity to establish the Wilhelm branch of the Divine Cat Trading Company.

The representative has given her approval.
“I’ll hire the two of you under the Divine Cat Trading Company. Is that alright with you?” I asked.
“No objections,” Alex said.
“We leave it to you, Lord Nero,” Claudia added.
“From now on, we’ll be working together, so let’s drop the formalities. No need for honorifics like ‘Lord’ either,” I suggested.
“Understood,” Alex replied.
