Chapter 160: I Order You to Never Gamble Again

"What... what's going on? No, I didn't see anything!"

Sitting off to the side, Yuriko initially thought Yumeko couldn't handle the blow and was just an ordinary gambler after all. But then, she caught sight of something she shouldn't have, and quickly closed her eyes, turning away in shock.

Even Mary Saotome, who had been drained of energy and spirit, took an involuntary step back at the strange sight before her. The scene was simply too bizarre, defying all her usual understanding of reality.

"Could it be... that Shunsuke spiked something?!"

As the only "ordinary" person present, she came up with a theory that was surprisingly close to the truth.

The only pity was that no one else seemed to have reached this conclusion. Their thoughts had wandered off into who-knows-where.

"So this is the true way to use [Golden Experience]. I've learned something new," thought Shunsuke, observing even the composed Kirari completely losing her cool.

Now, his only hope was that when [Golden Experience Requiem] finally appeared, it wouldn't deliver a punch that would forever prevent him from achieving the ultimate truth... Surely his stand wouldn't be that malicious, right?

No sudden stops, please!

"The dealer, announce the results."

"Oh, ah, right!"

Even the dealer had frozen in place. After Shunsuke's reminder, she hurriedly continued, "Lord Fujii guessed nine lives and one death correctly, with a total of 558 chips. Lady Jabami guessed ten deaths, with a total of negative 538 chips!"

"This round is over. Lord Fujii now has a total of 616 chips, while Lady Jabami is at negative 416 chips. The winner of this game is Lord Fujii!"

"Hehahaha, even though I saw this coming, I really didn't think your skills would be this incredible, Shunsuke. Controlling ten swords like that—how did you manage it? Even the president... should, um, should be able to pull that off, right?"

The first to react to the dealer's announcement was Runa, whose petite, childlike appearance starkly contrasted with the confident, seasoned tone of her words.

It highlighted the vast chasm of experience between a veteran and a novice. No matter how mature Kirari's demeanor, how stoic Ririka's expression, or how voluptuous Yumeko's figure, none of them could ignore the obvious gap in skill and understanding.

Originally, Runa intended to criticize one side and praise the other, but after carefully reconsidering, she realized she couldn't imagine a scenario where Kirari lost—no matter how she looked at it, it was just impossible. But at the same time, she also couldn't picture Shunsuke losing. This realization left her utterly astonished.

The shock was so profound that the normally defiant Runa didn't even dare continue calling Shunsuke by his diminutive nickname.

"It's just luck, pure luck. Nobody said it was against the rules to insert all ten swords into the slots," Shunsuke deflected, glancing at the now-quiet Runa with a faint sigh. To voluntarily discard her most defining, mischievous trait—how foolish.

It was Yumeko who reacted next. Despite being the most emotionally affected out of the four, she quickly sat up, her eyes sparkling. With an expression of delight and excitement, she gazed at Shunsuke and said, "You're amazing, Shunsuke! To pull off something like this—it's incredible. Gambling with you is such a thrill!"

Shunsuke found himself unable to understand Yumeko's way of thinking. After all, she had just lost her own future, yet she still wore that radiant smile. Surely, her mind was completely twisted.

After contemplating for a moment, Shunsuke declared, "From now on, Yumeko, you belong to me. Got it?"

Yumeko nodded vigorously. "Yes!"

"Alright, then here's your first command as my possession: I forbid you from ever gambling again."

Yumeko's expression froze. The vibrant array of emotions that had been playing across her face instantly faded, like the flaking surface of an ancient mural left exposed to the elements. All that remained was an empty void.

"Fujii-kun, are you serious?" Yumeko asked, her vacant gaze fixed on Shunsuke. Her tone was devoid of emotion, like a machine without a soul—yet she was undeniably human.

Shunsuke was startled by this almost inhuman presence.

"I was joking."

"Haha, I knew it! Shunsuke wouldn't actually do something like that." With her smile quickly restored, Yumeko stood up, sat down beside Shunsuke, and leaned affectionately against him. Her considerable chest armor pressed against his left arm, effectively engulfing it. "From now on, I'll just follow Shunsuke's orders for the rest of my life."

Shunsuke's heartbeat involuntarily quickened—after all, Yumeko was truly captivating.

By now, Kirari and Ririka were also beginning to come back to their senses.

Judging by her outward appearance and demeanor, Kirari was the epitome of a cool-headed, commanding presence with a playful edge. Yet in this instance, her seemingly impenetrable composure was unexpectedly fragile.

Shunsuke felt as though he had stumbled upon something extraordinary. Perhaps Kirari could offer him surprises that even Yumeko Jabami couldn't match.

After all, Kirari and Ririka were so alike they could seamlessly swap identities. And Yumeko's sister? Still comatose.

"That was an excellent game. I thoroughly enjoyed it."

Kirari's calm expression returned as she wiped her damp hand on Runa's coat. She maintained her poised, superior air, speaking in a detached, authoritative tone.

Shunsuke's good mood dimmed slightly. But glancing at Yumeko, who was clinging affectionately to him, he decided it wasn't worth clashing with Kirari today.

There would be time to settle things later—no need to rush and squander two rare opportunities in a single day. Better to let Kirari come to him willingly.

In the indulgent environment of Hyakkaou Academy, Shunsuke had grown accustomed to openly embracing his desires.

"Well then, everyone, we'll be off."

Shunsuke greeted the others, deliberately ignoring Mary Saotome's finger-pointing and "What about me?" expression as he left with Yumeko in tow.

Yuriko stood up quickly and bowed slightly. Runa waved boldly. Ririka turned her gaze to him in silent acknowledgment. Only Kirari remained seated, facing away as she coolly uttered a faint "Hmm."

Shunsuke felt something was off. This wasn't like Kirari at all. Normally, even if she wasn't overtly warm, she would at least acknowledge him properly.

Noticing this inconsistency, Shunsuke summoned Star Platinum. As he passed by, he caught a glimpse of her skirt's hem, drenched, with water stains even soaking into the cushion.

Shunsuke paused, curiosity bubbling within him. How would Kirari handle this situation?

If her condition were revealed, what would happen to her carefully crafted image as the Student Council President?
