Chapter 342: A Sudden Attack
"By the way, Homura-kun, should we still use the other solution you mentioned?"
On the way, Umi looked at Homura and asked curiously.
"Yeah, we should, but it requires the power of the fans..." Homura replied, thought for a moment, then continued. "Plus, we also need Kotori's help."
"Eh? Me?" Kotori looked at Homura with her cute big eyes and then smiled. "What does Homura-kun need me to do?"
"Of course, design an outfit!" Homura responded with a smile. "Design a really beautiful outfit for Rin, then let the fans see. What do you girls think they'll say?"
Upon hearing this, the girls exchanged smiles and then exclaimed together.
""Cute!""
"But won't that take too long? And Rin-chan might not even wear it right away." Kotori looked at Rin, who hadn't fully woken up yet. "After all, Rin-chan is still way too shy. Even if she's no longer bothered by things from elementary school, she might still need some time to mentally prepare to accept it."
"Heh, who do you think I am?" Homura smiled confidently.
Seeing his confidence, Nico looked skeptical and couldn't help but comment.
"You really think you can get Rin to wear clothes she would've never worn before, right away?"
"I didn't mean that..." Homura shook his head. "As long as Kotori draws the outfit, with my drawing skills, I can easily create an image of Rin wearing that outfit, one hundred percent accurately."
Upon hearing this, the girls finally understood what he wanted to do.
For Homura, who had drawn Love Live!, that was indeed an effortlessly easy task!
"Yosh! Leave it to me! I'll send it to Homura-kun tonight!" Kotori assured, patting her chest.
"In that case, let the newly transformed Rin appear on my blog tonight." Homura said with a grin. "Oh right, since Kirisu-sensei encountered something like that today, let me go over some necessary things with all of you."
Soon, he explained to the girls how to handle stalkers or perverts.
However, he ultimately told everyone that if any danger occurred, they should immediately call him, and he would rush over right away.

"Nyaa~"
"Oh? You're awake?"
Rin, listening to Homura's voice and feeling her movements along with the cool breeze brushing against her body, realized what kind of situation she was in.
"Eh?! How did I end up in Homura-kun's arms?!" Rin exclaimed in surprise, but fortunately, not too loudly.
"Did you forget, Rin-chan?" Hanayo's voice came through. "It seemed like you were too shy earlier and passed out."
Rin: "…"
What did she just hear? Passed out from being shy?
"...How embarrassing, nyaa." Rin said with a face full of dismay.
Just then, however, she noticed that it seemed like only the three of them were remaining.
Where was everyone else?
"Kayo-chin, where's everyone?" Rin asked with a surprised expression.
"Everyone's already home. We'll be there soon too." Hanayo replied, thought for a moment, then asked a question. "Rin-chan... do you remember what happened before you passed out?"
'Before passing out?'
As Rin remembered the earlier event, her face quickly turned red.
Seeing this, Hanayo breathed a sigh of relief.
As long as Rin remembered, it was fine. If she had forgotten Homura's confession, that would have been a disaster.
Soon, however, Hanayo's lips twitched.
"Rin-chan... aren't you going to get off?"
Not responding, Rin turned her head slightly away from Hanayo.
Hanayo: "!!!"
Did Rin just ignore her?
She couldn't believe Rin would do something like that!
Homura, who had been listening to their conversation silently, was also surprised by Rin's unusual behavior.
Nonetheless, he couldn't help but feel that she was cute when acting like that.
"Hahh, finally home..." Hanayo said with a sigh, then looked toward Rin. "Rin-chan, let's talk more tomorrow, okay?"
"...Mm." Rin answered softly.
"Oh, right! Rin-chan, there should be a surprise tonight, so you should keep an eye out! Bye~! Homura-kun, you too, bye~!"
Hanayo waved her hand and ran back home, leaving only Homura and Rin behind—one smiling and the other lost in thought.
"We should head out too. Just a few more steps and my escort task will be done."
Hearing Homura's words, Rin snapped out of her daze, but then she quickly realized that it was just the two of them now.
"Homura-kun... what's the surprise?"
Hearing this question, Homura chuckled lightly.
"A surprise is called a surprise because it's not spoiled, right? But fine, I'll give you a hint. Before you go to sleep, check out my blog."
Rin drowsily nodded and fell silent again, but she still felt the need to say something, or else she felt she might fall asleep.
'Is this... the feeling of being in love?' Rin thought, feeling a little dazed. 'Being carried like this, it felt like happiness was slowly piling up... Rin might actually be getting addicted to this feeling...'
Rin was lost in thought for a moment before speaking up.
"Homura-kun... the first girl you confessed to is Rin... Is that really okay?"
Rin's voice was so faint it was almost inaudible, but Homura still heard it clearly, causing him to sigh quietly.
Sure enough, Rin still had some lingering insecurities.
She was definitely very happy and touched right now, but with that insecurity clouding her mind, the words she wanted to say changed.
She had always been like this.
She saw a beautiful dress and desperately wanted to wear it, but no matter how much she wanted to, she couldn't bring herself to say it out loud, to speak her true feelings.
"Why are you asking that? I'm just speaking from the heart." Homura said with a smile. "Anyway, you don't need to rush to answer my confession. Your confessor is a playboy after all, so it's okay to think about it more carefully."
"...Dummy." Rin mumbled. "You're a playboy, but there's no one else who could compare to you..."
Blushing, Rin wrapped her arms around Homura's neck, facing away from him so he couldn't see her expression.
Homura smiled softly, looked up at the starry sky, and then lowered his head.
"In that case... I'll be counting on you from now on, Rin."
"Mm..."
Homura stopped walking, remained silent for a moment, then opened his mouth.
"It's hard to let go, but we've arrived..."
Rin didn't reply and stayed in the same position for a while, but it wasn't long before she got out of Homura's arms and stood on the ground.
"Homura-kun..." Rin opened her mouth but couldn't find the right words.
"Go home." Homura said while patting Rin's head. "Also, don't forget about the surprise tonight."
"Um, thanks..."
Replying softly, Rin stood on tiptoe before suddenly kissing Homura gently on the forehead, then sprinted home with the energy of a hundred-meter dash.
By the time Homura snapped back to reality, Rin was already inside her house.
Homura reached up and touched the spot on his forehead where he had felt the warmth.
"Heh, that girl..."
He honestly hadn't expected a sudden attack like that—it was something completely off his radar.
Stretching his body, Homura looked up at the starry sky again, recalling all the little moments during the journey, and then smiled lightly.
"Well, let's go home."
With that, Homura began his way back home.
