The Seventh Base

Chapter 39 Weapons Suppression_2

Watching the two combatants manage continuous fire and evasion while moving at high speed quickened the heartbeat of many spectators. Could this newcomer to the Arena really shake Kaman?

The two mechas pursued and fired at each other at high speeds, both engulfed in a frenzy of firepower.

"Crazy like this?" a voice came from Kaman's mecha. Xu Mo weaved through his barrage of fire, attacking with what seemed like a disregard for his own life. Yet Xu Mo's reaction speed was indeed terrifying, in no way inferior to his own.

Just then, Kaman's body suddenly charged forward, instead of retreating. As Xu Mo just dodged a volley, Kaman's Heavy Hammer flew out from his right hand, its tail locked by a chain. A brutal force hammered down on Xu Mo's mecha—the timing was perfect.

But at that moment, Xu Mo's mecha sidestepped, its right arm firing.

"Courting death," Kaman roared, and the Heavy Hammer, directed by the chain, changed direction, sweeping across to smash into Xu Mo's mecha's head.

Almost simultaneously, after firing that shot, Xu Mo's mecha twisted its torso in a motion seemingly possible only for the human body, but his mecha matched it.

"Boom..." The Heavy Hammer swept past him, narrowly missing striking Xu Mo's body as the Energy Light hit Kaman's Black Mecha, forcing it back and causing the Heavy Hammer to deviate just enough to miss Xu Mo.

Kaman's mecha cracked upon being hit by the intense firepower, sending its body flying backward. Xu Mo's left arm sprayed fire, destroying the opposing mecha's cannons continuously.

After being hit, Kaman hastily retreated, but Xu Mo's mecha followed relentlessly, not intending to give him a chance, both arms firing continuously.

"Boom, boom, boom..." Though Kaman reacted quickly, Xu Mo tracked and shot him continuously. The mecha shattered crazily, its exterior demolished to reveal the flowing currents within.

The audience in the stands watched the Arena, shocked by the unfolding spectacle. Without close-quarters combat, Xu Mo chased and fired wildly at Kaman, who couldn't shake him at all and was hit repeatedly.

That was Kaman, the Mechanical God Arena's superstar player.

Weapon superiority, huh?

Indeed weapon superiority, and of course, the contest of nerve response speed.

Finally, Xu Mo ceased fire, his body suspended in the air.

Kaman also stopped, his mecha's thermal weapon system destroyed, its defense system shattered. It was a terrible sight.

"I thought your strength and equipment were much more powerful. Is this all?" Xu Mo said to Kaman, "Who ordered you to sabotage Blue Star Energy Technology Group's weapon press conference?"

Xu Mo's voice, amplified by his mecha, reached the crowd, only then revealing why he was after Kaman.

Kaman, he sabotaged the Blue Star Energy Technology Group's press conference?

Was the weapon Xu Mo used a product that Blue Star Energy Technology Group was about to launch?

So strong, overpowering all other weapon systems in the Arena.

In that moment, Kaman felt a profound humiliation. As a top player in the Mechanical God Arena, he was used to looking down on others—when had he ever experienced such disgrace?

"Buzz..."

The mecha's energy continued to spurt out. Even though it was now half-disabled, Kaman still charged at Xu Mo.

Still not giving up?

"Keep it coming." Xu Mo handed the Heavy Spear to Zero, and he drew his Energy Battle Blade. The blade shone with intense light as Xu Mo's mecha stood tall in the air, then surged forward towards his opponent.

Both mechas moved at extreme speeds, clashing instantly. Kaman swung his Heavy Hammer ferociously at Xu Mo's mecha.

Xu Mo delivered a strike with his splendid War Saber, cutting through the space. Attacking at such high speeds was highly challenging, requiring great control and support from a very strong nerve response speed.

The two mechas were like two streaks of light crossing paths in an instant, ending up back-to-back. Many spectators couldn't even clearly see the collision process.

The next moment, the mechanical arm holding the Heavy Hammer fell from Kaman's mecha, cleanly sliced off and plummeting down.

A single strike!

"Is he this powerful?"

The surroundings of the Arena grew even quieter. That was Kaman, and no one had expected him to be so thoroughly overpowered.

Watching Xu Mo's hand where the Energy Battle Blade flickered with Energy Light, the crowd seemed to feel its sharpness. Was this also a product developed by their group?

"Neither the weapon nor the person is up to par," Xu Mo said as he turned around.

Kaman, too, turned to face Xu Mo, utterly defeated.

He had never been beaten so badly before.

And to add to that, he had been humiliated.

In the stands, Elizabeth said to Ize and Carter, "An astonishing nerve response speed. The moment the two clashed, many movements were completed. Where did Ross find this Mechanical Master?"

She had been a bit shocked when she saw Xu Mo defeat Lynn, but Xu Mo seemed to be much more than that; Lynn was no match at all, and now Kaman as well.

"Um..." Ize and Carter blinked.

"Who knows? Maybe a top player from the Mechanical God Arena," said Ize.

"Maybe it's a Transcendent of Class S using Class A equipment?" Elizabeth speculated.

"Possible," Carter said.

Not only Elizabeth, many others had such suspicions.

Xu Mo won too effortlessly.

"Who ordered you?" Xu Mo's left mechanical gun pointed at Kaman.

Kaman felt an intense shame, like being judged publicly, and moreover, he had no power to resist.

"Enough. Who are you?"
