Chapter 1516: The Grand Game (1)
The Primordials had allowed the World Stele to continue producing more World Bearers because it was to their advantage, and Rowan was a bit speechless when he realized how shameless the Primordials could become regarding the benefits they were obtaining from this Singularity.
With what they stood to gain, it was amazing how much the World Stele had to sacrifice just for the chance to resurrect its master, Thenos.
With every new dimension produced inside of Reality, the World Stele was basically increasing the foundations of Reality, displaying its might as a Singularity that even the Primordials could not produce the same results.
Understanding this process and the state of the Primordials, Rowan could infer the reason the Primordials allowed this to continue, and it was because they needed more foundation to allow more of their powers to be freed.
The Primordials had already shared the foundations of Reality amongst themselves, perhaps if there was only a single Primordial or maybe even two, then this would not matter as much, but there were seven of them, and after they had taken their share, it was not enough for them to be active.
If Reality had once been a form piece of rock, the Primordials had excavated all the stones and used them to bear their impossible weight, leaving only sand to remain, and without any proper foundation to hold them, they could not move.
Barely sustaining their existence inside the fragile shell that was Reality, the Primordials slept because even their waking consciousness would shatter the weakened Reality, and when the World Stele began to create more Dimensions out of powers sourced from outside of Reality, the Primordials were silent, observing this process.
Rowan had once questioned the World Stele about the reason the Primordials not only allowed its existence but turned a blind eye to its activity, and the Singularity had mentioned that creating dimensions was a great service to the Primordials and since they allowed it the freedom to harvest the souls from the dead dimensions, that meant they either did not care and were turning a blind eye to its activities.
Even if the World Stele did not fully realize why the Primordials allowed it to gather souls that would lead to the resurrection of Thenos, Rowan had discovered the hidden plans of the Primordials after fighting a war with their forces for fifty million years, and it had solved one of the reasons why the Primordials had chosen to nurture life in Reality instead of leaving it desolate.
A lot of his speculations may have easily turned out to be false, but with the Will of Truth at the sixth-dimensional level, he was able to gain a distinct sense of the right answers when he came across them, and this power would only increase when he reached higher dimensional levels.
For anyone else, the Will of Truth would be useful, but it displayed its true purpose in the hands of Rowan because a lot of the questions he was asking could not be easily found, apart from the Primordials and some extremely rare individuals, Rowan would not be able to find the truth even if he was to search until the end of time, and the Will of Truth was the only way for him to peer through the darkness of the past, revealing hidden secrets and details that would have never been brought to light.
The steps he took forward all depended on his ability to see deeper layers of truths as he grew stronger, and the mystery behind the Singularity and the Primordials was opened up to him.
Every new dimension created by the World Stele would eventually become the property of the Primordials, and he had seen this happen in the future as the war grew more intense and the influence of the Primordials spread all over Reality.
It was a subtle process, one that no immortal had been able to understand, but Rowan was a dimension, and he saw that the Aura from the Primordials were not just twisting the dimensions that they had conquered, they were also collecting something intrinsic inside all of them and adding it to their base.
As fascinating as this process was to watch unfold, it was also intensely parasitic, fitting the true manifestation of the Primordials who were here to plunder.
Rowan believed that if any of the Primordial Domain could gather as many dimensions as possible under their banner, then the Primordials would be fully awakened from their eternal slumber, and they would be able to walk upon reality.
The Creator of the Wall Aegis had found a way to stop the full might of the Primordials from entering all of Reality, but the Primordials had found a different method to achieve their goals, and this was by using the tiny backdoors created by the World Stele to gather their might and then Reality would be undone.
This was the sorrowful Fate of all life inside of Reality, they served their Primogenitor with all of their hearts, giving everything for the glory of their Domain because they believed in a creator who loved them and wanted nothing but their prosperity, why else would such divine powers be granted to all, but for the Primordials, all life was basically a tool for them to achieve freedom.
Rowan could now understand one of the reasons why the body of Primordial Time was shattered to pieces and Will Chains were created to further bind him in place, all of this was just to give rise to higher dimensional immortals who could become World Bearers so as create dimensions that could be harvested in the future.
A chill went through his heart as the Will of Truth confirmed another speculation that he had naturally stumbled upon, and that was even the eventual resurrection of the Bloodline of Time must have received a subtle permission to happen from the Primordials and it was not simply a random event.
Perhaps Primordial Time had been given one opportunity to regain his power as the benefit of allowing so many dimensions to be produced. Primordial Time had done a great injustice when he attempted to become a twice-primordial, but that did not break the merit that he achieved for the Primordials.
