The Power Of Makeup

Chapter 11: Chapter 11, She was pointed as Mr. Brown's Whore

Rosette Young POV'

The next night, I readied myself for my new job at the bar, the smell of freshly polished wood and citrus-scented cleaning products filling my nostrils as I walked in.

The scent of espresso wafted through the air, mingling with the aroma of beer and the faint tang of disinfectant.

School had been exhausting and hectic, with Priscilla's pranks leaving me on edge, but thankfully Taylor was away on a business trip, and I sliently hoped it would stay that way for the rest of the school year.

I longed for a peaceful mind, free from the constant stress and anxiety that had been weighing me down.

As I met with the manager, he handed me a uniform that felt scratchy and uncomfortable against my skin, the fabric clinging to my body like a second skin. The revealing outfit made me feel exposed, but I forced a smile and thanked him, trying to hide my discomfort.

The manager's voice was low and gravelly, a stark contrast to the smooth sounds of the bar's music.

Just then, an unfamiliar voice echoed from behind me. "Hey there, newbie." My turned to face a beautiful blonde waitress with piercing hazel brown eyes that sparkled like warm honey in the dim light of the bar. She looked seductive and tempting in the bar unform with fair thighs been exposed as she walked.

Our eyes met briefly, and I felt my cheeks flushing with embarrassment when I realized I been caught checking her out. The soft glow of the bar's lights highlighted her features, making her look both striking and intimidating.

"Hey..." I mumbled softly, my voice barely audible over the din of the bar. It had been a long time since I had a genuine conversation with someone, and I felt a pang of loneliness. People usually avoided me like a plague, and I couldn't remember the last time I had made a true friend. The feel of the cool air on my skin was a welcome respite from the tension that had been building up inside me.

The blonde waitress, introduced herself with a professional smile, her voice stern yet friendly. "I am Hayley, and I would be the one to help you around this place. Mr. Brown specifically assigned me to help you adjust to the working conditions of this establishment." Her words were laced with a hint of sarcasm, but I couldn't quite pinpoint the tone.

As Hayley began to show me around, I noticed the way the dim lighting highlighted the sharp angles of Hayley's face, making her look both striking and alluring. The sound of Hayley's heels clicking on the floor echoed through the bar, punctuating their conversation.

"Oh.. Do new employees experience this kind of treat."

Hayley chuckled and responded." No no. Some how you managed to catch the CEO's undying attention.

Jealous!"

I didn't know how to act now, knowing that it was only me experiencing this kind of treat. It made me feel awkward and strange.

"But don't worry no one would say anything. After all you look like an inexperienced person anyway. Graduated from college yet."

I shyly nodded." I am in my senior years in high school."

Hayley looked like she was struck by lightning." First time I heard that Mr. Brown hired an undergraduate."

She forged concern before retorting." Do you know Mr. Brown by any chance. You.. know outside work."

"No," I replied curtly, my voice firm but controlled. The taste of my own anxiety was bitter on my tongue, and I swallowed hard to calm myself down.

But Hayley wouldn't let up, her words dripping with insinuation. "But it doesn't look like you two don't know anyone outside, the treatment you are receiving makes it feel like you are..his.."

My temper flared, and I snapped, my words spilling out in a heated rush. "Enough! Please don't put words in my mouth and reconstruct the situation. I have nothing to do with Mr. Brown, what is this so hard to get into your thick skull?" The air was thick with tension as Hayley raised an eyebrow, her expression a mixture of surprise and amusement.

The sound of the bar's music seemed to grow louder, the beat pulsating through my veins like a second heartbeat. I took a deep breath, trying to calm down, the smell of the bar's coffee machine wafting through the air and providing a brief distraction.

"Woah! Someone got short temper, could have just said stop what is the use of snapping that loudly jeez!"

I rolled my eyes at her, it looks like she was deliberately trying to provoke me although I didn't know why? It was my first time meeting her after all. So bad for thinking I could have made a friend out of her.

"Just get over with the tutorial already." I said through gritted teeth, I didn't know where this fury was coming from. Maybe it was the fact that she was trying to point me as a home breaker, whore or something more disgusting.

As Hayley began her tutorial, I listened intently, my senses on high alert. The feel of the bar's stool beneath me was a steady presence, grounding my in the midst of the chaos.

One more thing, . The most important rule you should have in mind is that the customer is always right. That's means his or her opinion comes first.

Even if they want to sleep with you, you have no say in it."

When Hayley mentioned the rule about customers always being right, I interjected, her voice firm. "Excuse me."

Hayley's irritation was palpable, her voice sharp. "What?!"

I stood my ground, my heart pounding in my chest. "Why would I let a stranger sleep with me because of a job?"

Hayley's laughter was like ice, her words dripping with mockery. "Why won't you? You're virgin or something."

The silence that followed was oppressive, Hayley's gaze piercing as she waited for my response.

"Holy cow , you are virgin isn't it. Wow how does it feels to feel virgin."

I was unresponsive.

"Okay, okay I would stop asking. But how?! Ain't you suppose to lose your virginity in high school, don't tell me you don't have a boyfriend. With how pretty you are."

I raised an eyebrow, my expression calm and collected.

"Is there a rule that states that girl's are suppose to lose their virginity in high school.

Look at me I am a virgin and life is going just great as it is."

Hayley's response was a low whistle, her voice full of admiration. "Woah, that's a lecture I see coming up."
