The Multiverse Hunter

Chapter 155: Chapter 155

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Explosion after explosion tore through the dense forest, green flames licking hungrily at the destruction as the once-vibrant wilderness of Tartek was reduced to chaos.

Trees were uprooted, splintered, and shredded into pieces, their remains scattered across the battlefield. The lush greenery now smouldered in an inferno of ruin, bearing the scars of the brutal battle between Ali and the Witch.

Ali darted through the carnage, weaving between toppled trunks and craters, his crimson lightsabers trailing arcs of deadly light.

He had been relentlessly evading the Witch's magic-fuelled arrows, but their numbers had finally dwindled. From the two hundred flaming projectiles that had chased him at the start, only thirty remained, their emerald flames flickering weakly as their energy ebbed.

In the heart of the devastation, the Witch stood hunched, sweat pouring from her pale face. Her breathing was ragged, her hands trembling as they struggled to keep the massive stone suspended above her head.

The colossal rock, now engraved with intricate, glowing green runes, radiated an ominous power, pulsating in sync with the dwindling energy of the relic around her neck.

The green relic, once a vibrant source of ancient power, had dimmed significantly. Its aura flickered weakly, the surface beginning to rot and decay under the strain of overuse.

But the Witch pressed on, desperation evident in her bloodshot eyes.

'This will end it,' she thought, her lips curling into a determined snarl as Ali finally destroyed the last arrow and turned his piercing gaze toward her.

"DIE!" she screamed, her voice carrying a mix of fury and triumph. With a powerful thrust of her hands, she hurled the massive rock forward. The engraved runes flared violently as the stone fell a short distance, embedding itself into the scorched earth.

Ali's instincts screamed at him as he recognised the threat. His eyes widened as the glowing runes reached their peak intensity.

"FUCK!" Ali growled through gritted teeth, raising what little Force energy he had left to shield himself.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The moment the stone touched the ground, it detonated in an eruption of deep green energy. A shockwave tore through the forest, obliterating everything in its path. Trees were flattened, debris was launched skyward, and the earth itself seemed to recoil from the blast.

Ali's hastily constructed Force shield absorbed the brunt of the energy, but the strain drained his Spirit pool entirely, leaving him momentarily defenceless. When the blinding light faded, he stood in the midst of the wreckage, miraculously unscathed.

'There's more,' Ali realised as his shield flickered out. His sharp eyes locked onto the Witch, who now wore a twisted smile of confidence.

The shards of the shattered stone began to glow green, scattering across the battlefield. Each fragment shot toward Ali at blinding speed, faster than the bullets from his desert eagles.

Ali deflected the first volley with his lightsabers, his movements precise but strained. The crimson blades spun and slashed, slicing through the deadly projectiles. But there were too many.

BANG! BANG! SPLASH! SPLASH!

Several fragments found their mark, piercing through Ali's arms and legs. Blood sprayed from the wounds as the Sith staggered under the relentless assault. His healing cells worked desperately to seal the damage, but the Witch showed no mercy.

SPLASH! SPLASH! SPLASH! SPLASH!

The second wave of projectiles struck harder and faster. Ali's limbs were severed—both arms and legs torn from his body in an instant. He collapsed onto the ground, his torso riddled with punctures as blood pooled beneath him.

The black veins crawling up his face receded as his regenerative cells were pushed to their limit, trying to keep him alive despite the damage to his vital organs.

CRACK!

The soil beneath Ali erupted as a thick, jagged root shot upward, impaling his back and bursting out through his stomach. The root twisted and stabbed again, embedding itself deeper with each strike.

'Do I have to do it…?' Ali thought grimly, his mind racing as pain wracked his body. He felt the temptation to draw upon a power he hates.

The Witch, confident in her victory, stepped closer to Ali's broken form. Her chest rose and fell as she caught her breath, her pale face illuminated by the flickering green light of the relic.

'Perhaps I should revive him,' she mused. The thought of turning such a formidable opponent into her servant filled her with a dark glee. A weapon like Ali could elevate her to unimaginable heights of power.

But before she could act, a deep rumble shook the forest.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The earth trembled as a series of loud crashes echoed through the trees. In the distance, towering trunks were uprooted and toppled like dominoes, heralding the approach of something massive.

'It's HIM,' the Witch realised, her green eyes narrowing in recognition. She remembered the other Sith—Drogath. His overwhelming power had left a lasting impression on her during their brief encounter.

From the heart of the forest, Drogath appeared, barreling through the wreckage with the force of a charging juggernaut.

Once he reached the destroyed part of the Forest where Ali and the Witch's battle took place, Drogath's eyes first went to the Witch standing alone, he looked around to see nobody else in the vicinity.

That's when his eyes looked down and spotted the remains of a body without limbs at the Witch's feet, he saw a red mask that belonged to Ali also laying on the ground.

"No", Drogath muttered, the air around him was getting ripped apart.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

His voice shaking the forest. His armour flared with brilliant purple light, and his eyes turned a menacing shade of crimson.

A shockwave of pure Force erupted from his body, flattening the surrounding trees. The Witch barely managed to raise a protective bubble around herself in time, shielding her from the devastating blast.

Next to the Witch, Ali spat out a thick glob of blood onto the scorched soil. His chest heaved as his body began knitting itself back together at an unnatural speed.

'Break's done, I guess,' Ali thought casually.

In one incredible instant, new arms and legs erupted from the stumps of his mutilated body. The regeneration was swift and seamless, the grotesque process completing in mere moments.

It wasn't just recovery—it was rebirth. Ali's body, once ravaged, now stood as whole and unyielding as it had before the onslaught.

The massive root impaling him quivered before being crushed into splinters by the raw Force energy surging within him. With the tiny reservoir of Spirit he had managed to restore in the last few moments, Ali expelled the intruding tendrils from his body.

The Witch froze, her emerald eyes widening in shock and disbelief. The Sith she had reduced to a broken husk was now on the ground next to her alive and whole.

His newly-formed limbs dug into the earth, and with one powerful slam of his arms into the ground, Ali launched himself into the air with blinding speed.

BOOOM!

The ground beneath him cratered as his leap propelled him toward her.

"Surprise!" Ali snarled, his voice brimming with predatory intent.

His hand, still slick with blood, shot forward, aiming directly for the Witch's head. Her mind scrambled to react, but the relic around her neck was too drained to respond on its own. The protective aura that had saved her earlier remained dormant, its power depleted.

Ali's fingers were just a breath away from her neck. The air around them seemed to still, caught in the moment of impending death.

But then—

CRASH!

Ali was suddenly flung backward with devastating force, his trajectory carrying him through the forest.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Tree after tree snapped and shattered under the impact of his body. Each collision left a trail of destruction until he finally came to a violent halt, slamming into the base of a colossal tree.

His ribs cracked audibly, and his right arm dangled uselessly, bent backward at an unnatural angle.

Nearby, the Witch landed roughly but fared far better than Ali. She coughed up blood, clutching her side, but her green bubble had absorbed most of the damage. Her sharp eyes darted around, searching for the source of the attack.

Ali felt his ribs beginning to reset themselves, the eerie sound of bones snapping back into place echoing through the devastated forest. His dislocated arm twisted and realigned, the flesh around it mending rapidly.

Pushing himself up on one knee, he scanned the battlefield. His sharp gaze locked onto a towering figure emerging from the shadows of the decimated trees.

"Was that…" Ali muttered, his voice trailing off as realisation dawned.

The figure stepped into view, and Ali's suspicions were confirmed.

A giant alien clad in obsidian armour glowing with pulsating purple veins loomed over the battlefield. The air around him crackled with energy—not just any energy, but something far darker, far denser.

It was as though the very essence of the dark side emanated from his being, spilling into the environment like a suffocating miasma.

It was Drogath.

But this was not the Drogath Ali had fought alongside. This was something more—a vessel consumed by raw, unrestrained power. His yellow eyes, now ablaze with crimson, locked onto the scene with a ferocity that sent a chill down the Witch's spine.

The atmosphere grew heavier with each step Drogath took, the ground trembling beneath his weight. Trees groaned and toppled in his wake, their roots unable to withstand the sheer magnitude of the dark side energy surrounding him.

Ali exhaled sharply and fell back onto the ground, lying flat as if conceding to the inevitable. He tilted his head toward the Witch, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Oh, we are fucked," Ali muttered.
