Chapter 29: The Little Devil Looks Delicious
When Kieu Ly returned to the room and saw Toan Phuong sitting on the chair, she was just as surprised. She calmly entered, placed the bag of snacks on the table, and said:
"Oh? Why has the dragon come to the shrimp's house today?"
Knowing that Kieu Ly was still mad at him, Toan Phuong bared his teeth in a smile:
"I came to apologize to you."
Hearing this, Kieu Ly's expression didn't change; she said coldly:
"I didn't do anything wrong for you to apologize."
Seeing this, Toan Phuong put the stack of test papers on the table:
"Please don't be angry anymore. Tutor me, please. Without you, I wouldn't have gotten into Foreign Trade University."
Kieu Ly glanced at the test papers on the table, all scored 7s and 8s, and was equally surprised. So it wasn't her poor teaching but the little devil playing tricks on her. She shook her head:
"I'm very busy. I can't be bothered with spoiled rich kids."
Toan Phuong scratched his head and ear, smiling widely, trying to persuade her:
"Actually, I want to pursue a career as an idol, but my parents don't support it. I only rebelled because I had no choice. I really didn't mean to drag you into this. I appreciate you a lot."
Kieu Ly still wasn't softened and shook her head:
"You want to be an idol. Then why are you here asking me to help you get into Foreign Trade University?"
Toan Phuong was trapped by the questions and didn't know how to respond. He stubbornly stayed in the room until 9 PM before leaving.
The next day, after dinner, Huong Tra and Kieu Ly each did their own thing. Kieu Ly focused on reading, while Huong Tra absentmindedly stared out the window, occasionally sighing:
"Today the sky is light and high,
I'm sad but don't know why I'm sad."
Usually, Kieu Ly read while Huong Tra busily closed orders. But today, Huong Tra wasn't focused on closing orders and kept sighing. Kieu Ly shook her head and said:
"Having a peaceful day without anyone bothering you and you're still sad?"
Huong Tra moved closer to Kieu Ly:
"Your little devil really is handsome. If I were his tutor, I might just eat him up. He looks so delicious."
Kieu Ly covered her mouth and laughed. Huong Tra had never had a boyfriend before but spoke so boldly. After a moment, unable to stop laughing, she said loudly:
"Oh my god. He's not even of legal age yet. Do you want to go to jail or what?"
Huong Tra suddenly felt deflated. Indeed, whenever Kieu Ly had clients before, she always found something displeasing about them. Only this little devil was somewhat acceptable.
But yes, he was a bit too young.
While lost in thought, there was a knock at the door. Both Huong Tra and Kieu Ly jumped when they saw the other peek in and greet:
"The little devil says hello to both of you."
