THE LOVE I WISHED FOR

EDISON POV

She hugged him and he hugged her back.

I stared at them with a confused look

I felt something piercing my chest and that sudden urge inside me to part them apart.

I pulled y/n away from him lightly.

She stood straight but still looking at Chris.

"When did you come back?"

Anna said looking at him.

How she know him and what's with this friendly vibe.

" I just came back last night."

"you idiot you didn't even bother to tell me."

She said making a angry face but she only looks more cut...what? Nevermind.

" Are you mad at me? I just wanted to surprise you but after coming here I am the one who is suprised...I didn't knew I would meet you here."

" How can I not be mad? I missed you so much but you didn't once called from past months and I couldn't reach you at all."

" Anna you know my dad..he wanted me to complete my training without any distraction so he cut off all my connections. I also wanted to call you but...nevermind I missed you too."

" I know how your dad is..it must have been hard on you."

She said and again hugged him.

Why is she being so clingy.

She never hug me like that.

Wait am i jealous? No never i cant be but still how can they ignore me like that.

I fake coughed and Anna part away from the hug.

She faced me and smiled.

My heart....It skipped a beat.

I looked away and cleared my throat.

" do you know each other?"

"yes he is my best friend."

"btw what are you doing here?"

Chris asked.

"oh well...."

" she is wife and the second owner of the company."

"oka.....WHAT!!?"

Chris shouted in and looked toward Anna.

" Anna...you got married? When? How? Why?"

Anna giggled awkwardly without making any eye contact.

" I..wasn't able to reach you..and everything happened so fast....so I couldn't tell you."

She said with a guilty look.

" But how can you get married without telling me and without inviting me."

" I did send the invitation but I guess your father didn't let it reach you."

Chris looked down with a sad expression.

" I wanted to be there in your marriage..but...."

" Chris..I am sorry..but It was such a chaos...and..."

He looked up and smiled.

" It's okay but I am happy that you got married to Edison."

Anna smiled and Chris looked at Edison.

" I knew it that Edison was getting married but I didn't knew who the bride was and to my surprise it was Anna."

"It was all our family's choice so we didn't had much time."

Edison said.

"I can't believe I missed my both friends marriage at the same time."

Chris made a pout and whinned like a baby.

Anna pinch his cheek.

" you are still cute as ever."

Said Anna.

" Am I?"

Chris said and both laughed.

She never said something like that to me.

She like cute guys am i not cute?

Huh? What I am thinking shut up Edison.

I fake coughed cause they again starting ignoring me.

" okay enough of your chit chat let's start the meeting."

" Edison always talk about work. Are you happy with him. Are you happy with him?"

Chris asked Anna.

Anna looked at me and smiled before saying.

" yeah I am happy. He treats me good."

"Then it's all good."

I was processing the words she said.

Is she really happy with me?

We sat down on the chairs and started the meeting.

But i can see from the side of my eye that they both are taking glance at each other and smiling like crazy.

I have never seen Anna smiling this much.

I wonder how much close they are?

I was staring at them i didn't notice the meeting ended

" Edison..Earth to Edison."

She shook me and I flinched a little and looked at her.

"what are you thinking about?"

"umm nothing."

" okay than let's go ."

I nodded and walked behind Anna outside of the room.

While she is still talking with chris on random stuffs.

She kept ignoring me till we reached the parking lot.

Am i invisible to her? Nobody is noticing me.

" okay Anna now i have to leave."

" okay but we need to catch up a lot."

" sure infact i am free tonight. Wanna sleepover like we used to."

" great and you can come to our house for dinner."

She said while smiling widely.

" what you say Edison?"

Oh now she noticed me am i visible now.

" whatever you say."

she smiled before turning her full attention again to Chris.

" okay then final you will come for dinner to our house."

" yeah why not after i missed you a lot and i need to catch with you."

I rolled my eyes.

" yes and i got another idea."

She look toward me before speaking.

" Edison how about if we call all your friends today for dinner. I mean i didn't get to meet them after our marriage."

I look a great idea if there would be more people so Anna will be more busy.

"yeah thats a Great idea."

" How about you Chris?"

" fine by my side. After all I haven't met them from so long too."

"okay then now i should leave now. See you tonight. "

"okay bye take care."

Then Chris lastly hugged Anna and me before leaving.

She then turn towards me and smiled.

"I am so happy to meet him after so long."

" I can see."

I said while rolling my eyes.

" let's go now."

She said and I nodded.

Then we entered the car the car ride was dead silent.

So I decided to break it.

" How did you get to know him?

" Chris.. he is my best friend from childhood he is like a son to my parents and a part of our family we used to hangout a lot until he went out of the country for His training. His father always been strict with him...so when he was out his father didn't let him talk with anyone..so we didn't talked to each other for like years. But now he is back and I am so happy."

She look so happy.

I never seen her that much happy.

"you know what when we were in college people used to think that we were couples because we were so close they used say that we looked cute together."

She giggled while saying that.

But my chest feels weird..I don't feel good seeing her talking about his friend with such excitement and smile.

" Back then people used to tell us that we were perfect match for each other...."

"STOP!!"

I yelled i can't hear all this then I realised what I did.

"oh sorry I didnt mean to."

" it's okay but what happened? Are you okay?"

" Nothing we arrived. You go in I will come in after parking the car."

Thank God i have an excuse now.

" o_kay."

She opened the door and left.

I rested my head on the driving wheel. Why i did that. She must see me as a weird man.

Am i jealous? no no how can I be jealous I don't like her or anything like that........
