The Heavens: From Naruto to sign in

Chapter 86: Chapter 86

After hearing Yoruha's explanation, Anko froze for a second.

Then—

Pinch!

She twisted Yoruha's arm hard, making him wince.

Damn it!

So he came to her…

Just for a map?

Why did it feel like she'd been tricked again by this smug little brat?

What a detestable kid!

The Next Day

The second phase of the Chuunin Exams—The Forest of Death—officially began.

Before the exam started, Yoruha had already coordinated a meeting point with Ino and Hinata.

Akiba Lake, however, was ruled out as the rendezvous location.

Why?

Because typically—

Any location flagged as a system "sign-in point" was also a place brimming with luck… or chaos.

And with luck and chaos always came danger.

Yoruha didn't want to drag Hinata or Ino into any unpredictable trouble caused by the system.

The central tower was also out of the question.

That place was a hotspot—absolutely crawling with sneaky bastards lurking in the woods, lying in ambush just to jack scrolls from unsuspecting teams.

So, playing it safe—

Yoruha reached out to Shikamaru.

With that genius IQ of his, Shikamaru had predicted that each team's entry point into the forest would be randomized.

So, after a bit of heavy-duty mental gymnastics and logical deduction, he finally came up with the most efficient and safest meetup spot.

Once inside the Forest of Death, Yoruha immediately sprinted toward the designated location.

In the original story, both Hinata's and Ino's teams made it through the second round without any major incidents.

But this was no longer the original timeline.

Hinata and Ino had changed.

Their strength and personalities had been significantly shaped by Yoruha's influence.

They wouldn't be as naive or passive anymore.

And when people grow—especially people like them—they become wild cards.

No matter what he'd told them before, they might make decisions based on instinct or emotion now.

So, as the saying goes—

"You can only secure the win if the chicken is delivered on time."

In this case?

He needed to be that delivery guy.

To make sure they didn't get turned into easy prey.

"Gaara, Orochimaru... If either of you lays a finger on my girls—"

"I swear, I'll make you question the meaning of life."

Meanwhile, deeper in the forest...

Hinata's team had already secured the scroll they needed.

"Haha! Hinata, you're amazing!"

Kiba laughed as he walked.

"The traps we spent all that time setting up? Didn't even need 'em. You just took out the other team like it was nothing! No wonder you're Yoruha's girlfriend."

His tone was half-joking, half-awed.

Honestly, he was kind of spacing out.

Winning like this?

Felt great.

"Now that we've got the scroll, let's head back to the central tower."

Shino pushed up his glasses, voice calm and composed.

"The longer we linger, the more unpredictable things get."

"Huh? No way!"

Kiba clenched his fists with excitement.

"This is the perfect time to flex a bit! I want to fight ten more of those losers!"

"...That might not be wise."

Shino frowned, clearly disapproving.

"What's the problem? We've got Hinata with us. We're unstoppable!"

Kiba grinned.

Shino remained cautious.

"Hinata? What's your opinion?" he finally asked.

His tone had gotten oddly... awkward lately.

Too much time spent with Choji, maybe?

"Hmm…"

Hinata paused for a moment before answering.

"Yoruha told me before the exam that there'll probably be a ton of ambushes around the central tower.

So we decided on a backup meeting point. There's a safer path from here—let's head there and link up with him first."

"Oh, that makes sense."

Shino nodded in realization.

"Why didn't I think of that?"

He adjusted his glasses again, slightly annoyed at himself.

Lately, he'd been… different.

Less sharp, more distracted.

What the hell was happening to him?

"Alright," Kiba said, cracking his knuckles.

"We'll go to the meeting point.

But if we run into any weaklings along the way, I am taking them down."

"Fair enough."

"Agreed."

And with that, Hinata's team finished their discussion and set off toward the predetermined location.

Their movements were clean.

Their coordination was strong.

And for once?

Everyone was exactly where they needed to be.
