Chapter 250 Ongoing Confinement Play Part 2
She had too many secrets of her own, and Melinoe, that rebellious girl, was not only restless but also always looking for an opportunity to stab him in the back.
To avoid too many unpredictable factors during the trip to the Elysian Fields, Luo En naturally wouldn't bring Melinoe along.
Knocking her out and then hiding her away, waiting for everything to be over before leaving together, was a plan Luo En had thought through early on.
But being unfamiliar with life in the Netherworld, after much thought, he concluded that there were only two places suitable for hiding someone: the Court of Judgment and Arima Cave.
Although the former had King Minos, an insider, it was still a public place with departed souls and deities coming and going. It was inevitably busy, and the risk of exposure was too great if uncovered.
The latter, however, was rarely visited, housed the "ferocious hound," and was located at the junction between the Mortal World and the Netherworld—attackable and defensible, making it an excellent hiding spot.
Therefore, the doghouse was not meant for Melinoe to live in but specifically for detaining her.
Luo En chuckled playfully and waved over Cerberus from outside the cave, instructing him firmly.
"Little Cerb, guard the entrance, don't let anyone in."
"Woof!"
"If I haven't returned in three days, or if the Medusa emblem I left for you lights up, take her out of the Netherworld and don't let anyone find her!"
"Woof woof!"
Watching the dozen or so additional honey cakes and several jars of Ambrosial Honey Wine materialize in front of him, the three drooling heads of Cerberus excitedly nodded in a frenzy.
Done!
After convincing this fierce Netherworld guardian hound to collude with him, Luo En happily snapped his fingers.
That way, even if something unexpected happened on the road, he could use Melinoe as the final safeguard.
Having made thorough arrangements, Luo En walked out of Arima Cave, concealed his figure, and set off towards the Elysian Fields, relying on his previous memories.

Thanks to the meticulous plan and the cooperation of Persephone, Queen of the Underworld, Luo En had an unobstructed journey and quietly reached the entrance to the Elysian Fields in no time.
After the last upheaval, the restructured and fortified Wall of Sighs was even more majestic. The floating glyphs almost merged heaven and earth, leaving no opportunity for outsiders to exploit.
Yet, Luo En hiding in the shadows couldn't help but want to laugh as he looked at the formidable barrier before him.
He was reminded of an Aesop's fable he once read: One day, the zookeepers were shocked to discover that the kangaroos had escaped from their enclosure, so they held a meeting and unanimously concluded that the enclosure was too short. Thus, they decided to increase its height from ten meters to twenty meters. However, the next day they found the kangaroos outside again, so they raised the height to thirty meters. To their dismay, the following day they still saw the kangaroos outside. The keepers, now anxious, resolved to go all out and extend the walls to a hundred meters.
A few days later, the giraffe and several kangaroos were chatting casually, "Do you think these people will keep raising the height of your enclosure?" asked the giraffe.
"Hard to say," replied the kangaroos. "That is if they keep forgetting to close the door."
The logic was the same; simply fortifying the Wall of Sighs made no sense if they wanted to stop an outsider like him.
Because both King Minos and the Queen of the Underworld had told him the secret to entering and exiting Elysium.
After waiting briefly for the right moment when the patrolling spirits of the Netherworld switched shifts outside the wall, Luo En approached the Wall of Sighs and casually pointed at a few of the floating glyphs. He easily opened the way into the interior of the Elysian Fields, as if he owned the place.
It seems "Aesop's Fables" might have a new story to add.
Luo En smiled, his figure flashing as he slipped into the passageway and effortlessly completed the infiltration.
Looking around, meandering streams wrapped around the space, sweet fruits hung heavily from branches, grass and flowers grew wildly, and one resident after another stood like statues, their faces adorned with bright smiles that verged on the eerie, as if their spirits were immersed in some kind of supreme bliss.
Nothing had changed.
Luo En carefully observed the residents of the nearby paradise for a while, but still had no clue.
Their souls came from diverse origins, some were Nymphs, some Demigods, some from the Golden Age and Silver Age of humanity, and there were even ancient Divine Monsters and ordinary humans...
The gap in strength from their former lives was vast, the lands they belonged to varied, and their races were inconsistent...
In short, other than being collectively enclosed in the Elysian Fields, they had almost nothing in common.
Perhaps, their shared happiness and smiles?
Luo En's gaze swept over the faces of the residents, full of smiles. He narrowed his eyes slightly and walked deeper into the Elysian Fields.
Last time, when retrieving someone, since the target Adonis was a newcomer to the Elysian Fields, he was automatically placed in the perimeter area, leading Luo En to find the fair-faced Prince with almost no effort and abduct him amid the chaos.
Therefore, their exploration of the Elysian Fields was not extensive.
Given the rare opportunity, it was natural to want to learn more about the Netherworld's most mysterious area, even if it was impossible to uncover the secrets held by Hecate, enhancing the understanding of the Elysian Fields was beneficial.
As Luo En pondered, he made his way towards the interior of the Elysian Fields.
As he kept moving, the figures of the residents became more and more numerous.
Their brilliant smiles still blossomed consistently on their faces, the surrounding scenery became more and more beautiful, and more and more unreal, with the eerie atmosphere growing thicker.
Unreal?
Luo En raised his hand thoughtfully and lightly touched a butterfly perched on a flower, his fingertip actually passing through the center of the butterfly.
Ghostly phosphorescence fell with the motion, adorning the plants and streams around, creating an even more fantastic and vivid color.
These were dream constructs!
Luo En had an epiphany, his searching gaze quickly drawn to an unusual gate standing in the center of a sea of flowers.
The frame of the gate was made of horns, and its center rippled like waves, various vibrant colors and bizarre reflections appearing and disappearing within it.
Luo En approached to observe, his eyes shimmering thoughtfully.
Legend had it that the Tribe of Dream Spirits who resided in Dreamland possessed two gates: one made of horn and another of ivory. The dreams that passed through the Horn Gate offered truth, and any mortal who dreamt it would see reality. However, the dreams that traversed the Ivory Gate often deceived, bringing unattainable words and illusions.
If he wasn't mistaken, this gate was likely the one that led to the Dream of Truth.
Luo En glanced back at the residents of the Elysian Fields, all with identical smiles, like clay statues, a thoughtful expression in his eyes.
Could it be that these souls were all experiencing the same dream?
— A "true" dream, yet one that had been "woven"?
After a moment's contemplation, Luo En casually plucked a strand of his silver hair and tied it around his wrist, a reminder to distinguish between dreams and reality, then rose and stepped through the large gate bordered by the horns of a bull.
