Chapter 430 - Before The Bandit King's Battle [ Part 6 ]
The Day Came…
I stood with Margaret by my side as we watched Seman, Peter and Valkyries leaving on horseback. Rows of soldiers slowly marching out behind them.
Margaret was completely healed and wore a symbolic white dress as all Religias women do.
Each company moving to their separate location with a single colored row of soldiers behind them.
The plan was the same.
Seman would take one of the purple bases, Peter another one and the Valkyries the last.
"Do you think they'll win?" I ask Margaret.
"Yes, I do."
"Let's talk realistically."
"Yehn… maybe. What about you?"
"I don't think that they have a chance at winning."
Margaret turned to me with a curious look, "Why do you think that?"
"Isn't it too convenient?" I point to each row walking out through the city's cheering crowd, "They are all moving to their own direction, without the threat of time nor knowing who the enemy could be?"
"And your point?"
"As I said, it's too convenient… for Orion." I look at Peter, "He could attack one of the group with a well-equipped ambush and easily win."
"Hmm that could be true."
"It will be," I tell her, "Orion clearly has the upper hand, yet he did nothing by the time. I can't just believe he's taking it lying down because we have his father. The other leaders in his army certainly wouldn't."
"So you think he has a plan?"
"Of course." I turn to the long view, "With such a huge force moving, it would be impossible not to learn of it."
"And Orion's already preparing an ambush based on the soldiers and company coming towards his people." Margaret said and I nod. "If it comes to that, it would really turn out to be too convenient for Orion."
"Defeating one of the groups would instantly break half the force. I wonder how bad it would turn out if he is able to defeat two of them." Margaret murmured.
"Umm… aren't you going to do anything about that?" We hear a new voice and turn around.
It was the youngest Valkyrie, Rank 13 Keira Bilgard. She was put to station inside the city for if something happened.
Right now, Keira looked at both of us with a frightened and quick look. She was probably wondering how we could talk so calmly about such matter.
"What do you think will happen if he tells them?" Margaret asks her.
"I think they will stop and rethink their strategy." Keira said strongly.
"Wrong!" Margaret also strongly put her down, "He will be laughed at by the whole army."
"Uhm… why?"
"Let's see if you can tell that to me." Margaret closed off both her arms under her huge boobs.
Keira gulped at seeing such a serious look and thought carefully. After a very thorough thought, her face lit up, "I understand now!"
"Annnnd?"
"It's because he doesn't have any evidence." Keira excitedly pointed at me before retracting it quickly, "I- I'm sorry, Lord Tax. I didn't mean to be so-"
"You guessed right so it's alright." I tell her.
Keira sighed in relief before it crumbled again, "If you don't have proof… how are they going to believe you?"
"They're not. Because I'm not going to tell them."
"You're not?"
I shook my head and even Margaret seemed amused.
"Since you've already said so much, I don't think it was for no reason. Come on, tell me what's going through your mind."
"How smart you are, my fiancé. I knew I couldn't hide it from you." I say with a cheeky smile.
Margaret's face slowly cracked, "Why are you talking like that?... what do you want?"
"Oricon"
Margaret's eyes widened before it quickly turned into slits, "So that's why you were saying all those to me… right after father left."
"Hehe, did it work?"
"You tell me, is it enough for me to give you the Bandit king?"
Keira looked at the conversation and got curious, "What are you two talking about? What does it have to do with the bandit king?"
Margaret smiled with eyes closed, "He wants to interrogate the bandit king so he's asking me."
"Oh? But that's not too much."
"It will be if the guy died."
"!!!" This time it was Keira who widened her eyes, "What!"
"So what do you say?" My cheeky smile only widened as Margaret sighed.
"Alright… but you better get something out of him or I'll get something out of you." Margaret said and turned around.
"Is it my seed?" I genuinely ask.
"Hehe" Margaret eyed me from the corner as her eyes turned to slits again, "It's a secret!"
"!!!" Both Keira and I felt a shock go through backs.
'I don't what she's thinking, but it probably is kinky and forbidden.'
Margaret brought us under the prison once again where Oricon was captive.
I came upon the underground room with low quality candles and saw the precious person sleeping without a worry.
Let's change that.
"What are we waiting for?" Margaret asked.
"My weapons." I tell her.
"If you needed weapons, you could have asked me. I would have given you mine."
"No no, mine are a bit special." Margaret raised a brow and kept quiet.
"Uhm…" Keira raised her hand, "What are we doing here?"
"Don't you understand? It's to interrogate that guy." I point to the sleeping ugly.
"N- No, that part I understand… what I'm asking is, why are we here?"
"It's to interrogate that guy." Before she could ask again, I say, "Personally"
It took Keira a moment before her face quickly dried up as she muttered, "Ahh…"
Jacob came in with a leather bag around his neck, "I'm here, I'm here!"
"What took you so long?"
"Alice was being a bitch again and wouldn't tell me where the bag was." Jacob said, looking around curiously, "What did I miss?"
"Do I know you?" Margaret asked as her eyes sharpened, "I do, don't I? You've worked under us before."
Jacob smiled weakly, "Yes, Madam. I used to."
"And what are you doing with him?" She pointed at me.
"He recruited me specially."
"Hah!... alright." That's all she said before we looked at the sleeping ugly.
"Are we really doing this?" Keira asked.
"If you want you can leave… it's best that you should." Jacob told her, "It gets a bit ugly."
Keira nodded heavily and ran through the door.
I didn't think about her and slapped Oricon, waking the shit out of him.
"Hah! What, what is happening?" He looked around confused and dazed before he settled on me, "The Tax brat? What do you want?"
"Congratulations, you old fucker, you've won the ticket. I'm here to interrogate you personally." I give him a smile.
"Haha!" Oricon laughed loudly, "You?... interrogate me? Hahaha!"
"What happened? Does Seman not have any experienced person and sent you?" Oricon said sarcastically, "He really must have lost his mind huh."
"Well, he's not here so I don't know what to say."
Oricon's face finally took a break, "What? Where is he?"
"He went for your son."
"HAha! He did, did he?" Oricon laughed again, "How about I give you a deal? If you let me out now, I'll make sure you don't get treated badly… well, too badly. I still need to vent out a bit."
"Maybe have some fun with that fiancé of yours."
"In your own perfect world, she still wouldn't have." I tell him, "Did you know, the human body has more than 20-"
"You've used that line before." Jacob said, "With the Doc, remember."
"Ohhh, yeah I did." It clicks in my mind and I open the leather bag and start taking out items.
Hammers, Screwdrivers, Raps, Chisels, Gimlets etc.
"Oricon… did you know that blunt weapons cause more pain than sharp ones and still keeps the victim alive?"
It was at this moment that Oricon knew… he was fucked.
