The Goddess Made A Mistake Again

Chapter 408 - Henry VS Margaret [ Part 2 ]

Sigmat Rings

There weren't much known about sigmat rings as they haven't appeared for long. New things about them were being discovered every day.

Most of those could be said irrelevant, while the ones at the very lower numbers could be called somewhat significant, but knowledge, still being found.

For one thing, man wondered more and more bizarre questions as days passed.

What if a person wore two rings at the same time? Would there be some miss-connection that could destroy the ring and the person or would there be a huge boon waiting?

Auspiciously, some valiant men have gone to search for that solution… regrettably, most of them died horribly. But those that persisted… they became Legends.

Sigmat rings are force of nature themselves and they needed another ring whose affinity would have to be cooperative to actually work. But even then it was a long shot as it needed people that could withstood such power.

If two sigmat rings were to actually unite, it would give a massive enhancement to a person, but they have to be strong enough for it to work.

Think of it like this, if two yellow rings were to connect together, then the power from it could be the same or even greater than a blue ranked ring and the same could be said about two blue rank rings as well.

This information isn't actually a secret and is known to almost all the people in higher stations, but then why isn't it widely used yet?

Because only a madman would try to combine two sigmat rings for power.

The chances of finding two sigmat rings that synchronize harmlessly is close to 15% and a person strong enough to wield it is even less.

So for most folk it was actually better to just buy a higher ranked ring then tempt fate.

But there she is, inside the crack, watching me with those round yellow bloodthirsty pupils.

Margaret stood up, her tall build looking extremely dominant at 9 feet. Her body which was already fit now becoming extreme. Even then her lean physique only showed exposed muscles pulsating with strength, but not making her unbarring to look at… I actually felt a pull under my pants to make this woman bend down on the floor and just do her.

'She did it… she actually fucking did it.' My mind was in a scramble while I didn't know whether to laugh or not.

In the novel, I had read about her using two sigmat rings successfully but that was at a far point in the story. But here she is, successful and brimming with so much strength, she could topple a mountain.

And out of all the combinations, hers in one of the challenging ones.

'Azure Flames and Tiger.' My eyes look at her tail that was slowly swinging behind her as I measure her.

'Azure flames is an extremely potent upgraded version of normal flames. They not only burn but burned very bright and the degree it could go up to was truly concerning for both the enemy and the user.'

'Then there's the tiger sigmat. Extending height, changing bodily features, great regeneration and creating new mass in the body so that it could handle the new power, which could be quite destructive depending on the physique.'

'And let's not forget the Speed and Ferocity… a tiger's most potent abilities that bring death too fast for one to do anything about.'

'Now both combined means… I'm fucked!'

As I look at the weak points in her body, Margaret moved. She slowly bent down and got into a four legged stance. Then arching her tall body back, I could see the ground under her limbs crack as she disappeared.

Within a blink, she cut our distance to inches, her hands filled with large sharp nails aiming for my body. I quickly dodge back but she was fast enough to put a scratch in and disappear back.

I look at my upper forearm and saw the wide four fingered slash that went deep. I wasn't worried about the damage as I could already see that it was being healed.

My real concern was Margaret, who was zooming through one place to another at such a speed that it would be impossible to track. Yet, through the magical gift the Goddess bestowed on my eyes, even the smallest window showed me where she was and her next destination could be.

But it seems she also noticed my extreme perception as she didn't come to scratch again and just roamed around the place, taking time and finding the right place to attack.

'I wonder what her father will think of the property damage.' I sigh as I see the buildings and places brake at her steps.

'Her feet are extremely fast while her limbs are strong enough to not only withstand my attack, but counter back. She's actually a worthy opponent now.'

'Margaret's surprisingly calm for someone who's under the 'rush'.' I see her waltzing past me, close enough to attack but waiting, 'No matter what effect she's under, she's still Margaret.'

'But even if she is Margaret, almost every people are likely to attack the one place and it would be the blind spot.'

'Which means… my back.' I already feel the air shift and a heavy pressure behind me as she goes for the attack.

But even someone as strong as her could be overcome, if used the right moves that is… and with my eyes, when have I ever not?

But I don't.

I move away just enough to not get completely hit and let her also get a scratch in.

Missing her target, Margaret feels frustrated as she zooms around before coming at me. And again, she misses by an inch and just gives a scratch.

As that happened once more, Margaret's frustration heightens as she just keeps on attacking me while I only let her scratch me.

'Damn it! How is he dodging… EVERY SINGLE TIME?!'

I smile under her eyes as I feel her attack loosing vision and right when she was about to give another little scratch, I turn around instantly and place a punch on her face.

"Boom!"

The impacts damage only intensifies as her speed worked against her and she flew past me then tumbled on the floor, causing more property damage.

But she wasn't down for the count.

"Argh!" Margaret groaned as she tried to get up, almost slipping at her right leg which was broken.

I groan while pointing to her face as Margaret found that her jaw was broken and loosely hanging… but it didn't disturb her.

Margaret first hit her right leg, cracking it and placing in the right direction. Then she held her broken mouth and joined it back up as the increased healing from her new sigmat quickly healed all of her injury.

"…This isn't over, huh?"

"Far from it." Margaret shook her head with a smile, "You landed a solid punch without even hesitating whether I die or not, darling~"

"On the contrary, I knew it would take much more to kill you… dear~" I play her little game, "But you did put a lot of scratches on me, people might get the wrong thoughts about you."

"I hope they aren't that troublesome."

"No no, some of them even put in a good scratch I couldn't reach and most are already healed."

Margaret's large pupils dilate as she saw the scratches healing right before her eyes. Then they were gone as if her nails didn't dig into him.

Margaret's smile only widened as the passion for fighting intensified for her.

"Let's fucking do this!!!"
