Chapter 403 - Returning to Whitedon
We were packing all our things with Winona following behind me like a lost puppy, the same she used to do when I was still under her trap and thought she was stupid… ahh, the past times.
They suck.
As we were done and about to leave, that's when I suddenly think of something.
"Have you told them?"
"Who and what?"
I point to Arthur's group who were looking curiously at Winona beside me, "Them! That you're not going with them!"
Winona looked at them and then at me before at them again, "Oh… I guess I forgo-"
"I get that!"
Suddenly, she turned to me and blurted, "It's your fault!"
"How is that my fault? I'm the one who's telling you that you didn't tell them."
"Well, I was going to tell them… but I forgot." Before I could say anything, "Probably because of you."
"Again, how is it my fault that you forget?"
Winona took a step closer, "Did you forget we had a wrestling match just moments ago?"
"How does that-"
"You were quiet rough on me."
"We- Well… that can't be th-"
"You didn't slow down when I asked you to."
"But I had to defeat you."
"At what cost Henry?" She gave me a perplexed look, "At what cost?"
"…"
The people behind them, Lucian, the spy and the soldiers all looked at the two with surprised expressions.
The spy was the one to open his mouth first, "I didn't think there was someone who could argue with Captain Henry… and actually win!"
"Forget about that!" A soldier said, "I didn't think there was someone who would tolerate him."
"Of course there is." His buddy said, "His parents tolerates hi-"
"They are all dead." Lucian bluntly said.
"Well… at least girls will tolerate that fa-"
"But that's not a girl, it's a guy." The third solider said.
The soldier having no other idea, said the obvious one, "Well then, Our Madam Margaret has to tolerate him, she has no choice left."
Lucian looked at the guy who turned around at the perfect moment.
…
"Go tell them."
"But I don't wanna." Winona whined as I pushed her towards the protagonist team.
"If you don't I can't take you with me."
"I'm sure you can, we just avoid them all the way. Surely, that's possible with Elisabeth trying to avoid you."
I look at Winona with a concerned look, "If you used most of that attentiveness on yourself, you would have been so much powerful."
Winona gave me a pale look and turned around. She went straight to them and started talking.
First it was Samantha who talked, she seemed a bit agitated but failed. Then it was Arthur, calmly trying to talk with her, that doesn't work as well. Finally, the last blow was Elisabeth's tearful look that would have made anyon-
'Oh… she turned her down to.' I see Winona start walking back to me. She looked happy but the group behind didn't, especially Elisabeth.
'Yeh… it doesn't concern me.'
I shrug before getting on Reverence and leave-
"Take me with you!" Winona said as she tugged at Reverences saddle.
"What? Don't you have a horse with you?"
"Do I look rich?"
"Good point." I take a look around, "Let me see if there's an empty seat on someone's."
"But I want to sit with you, you have plenty of seat, right horsy?" She patted Reverence, who frankly looked her up and down and snorted suspiciously.
"What was that about?"
I ignore them and look around, there was no one left but Lucian who… yeah, no.
"Get up." I give her a hand as she got up and hugged me tightly, "Stop that, we are surrounded by guys."
"That didn't stop you from thrusting your cock inside me a while ago." She whispered in my ears.
Reverence's ears picked up that and he turned his head to our direction and looked shocked.
"Should I be concerned about him telling everyone?" Winona pointed at the horse.
"Don't worry… I have enough carrots for buying his silence."
Reverence quietly turned around as if he never heard anything.
…
It took us a day's time to arrive at Whitedon. By the time we arrived, it was already close to midnight.
We went inside the city and were met with the crowds claps and cheers.
"Quite the happy people." Winona murmured quietly yet gave a foolish smile outside and waved crazily.
"There just happy that most of us returned alive. Otherwise it would have been the death stares."
"Possibly." She stopped waving with her male façade, "Where are you staying?"
"At the City Lord's mansion."
"Oh, I should probabl-" She tried to get off, but I slapped her ass back on.
"Shut up, you're coming with me."
"Okay!" She smiled cheerfully.
"If I left you alone… I'd probably come back to chaos and disorder all around the city."
We trotted through the long crowd and came to the mansion. Going inside, a guy guides Reverence to the stables and we get off.
"When did the commander arrive?" I ask the stable hand.
"A day ago, m'lord."
"Is he at the castle?"
"Probably not, though I haven't seen much of him, I'm sorry." He bowed but I shrug it.
"It's okay information, here." I give him a few pounds.
"My Lord, I- I can't take-"
"You will!" and I pat Reverence, "Also feed him up more, we need to get back up again and he needs to put some weight."
"Snort!" He snorted right to my face.
"Yeah yeah." I give him a brush, "I'll see you later, old boy."
We walk out of the stable as Winona said, "You like that horse, don't you?"
"I do yes, but there's only one that's after my heart." I clutch my chest, "And that's my beautiful, strong, tall and the fastest, Sadie."
"Wow… that's some love for a horse."
I nod shamelessly, "Yes it is… but don't tell any of that to old boy. He's mean and moody."
Winona laughs at that.
"There you are." We both hear another voice.
We both look ahead and find Margaret coming towards us. Tall, strong and ridonculously huge boobs that I missed ogling at.
The white head was wearing, a tall white floral dress with dark blue linings, matching her style, strong and striking.
"Margaret" To her surprise, I hug her. But she reciprocated back with even more intensity.
"Sniff!"
My eyes widen at her surprising behavior, 'Did she just sniff me?'
But I don't say anything and ended the hug as she gave a tall smile, "I was waiting for you to return."
I smile large, "Miss me?"
"Of course, you're my fiancé."
'Okay, I can't guess if she really did or not.'
"And I missed you too." I reply honestly, "Believe me it sucks to only be around male company."
Margaret laughed, "It's good that your back, I missed that humor of yours."
'Now, there's some truth.'
Margaret looked back and I announce, "This is Wilson Farrow, a good friend of mine from the academy. I've found him at the field and brought back because I think he would be a good shot."
"A Good Shot." Margaret's sharp eyes looked her up and down before giving a fake-real smile, "Nice to meet you."
"Same here, madam." Wilson bowed.
Margaret looked back to me, "We'll continue our talk at dinner… and bring him too."
I nod as she turned around and left.
"Your fiancé doesn't seem to like me very much." Wilson murmured.
"She's a bit picky about her person."
Winona nodded before raising a brow, "Did she really sniff you back there?"
"So it isn't just me."
