Chapter 118: Merging Worlds, Ability Design! I
The Covenant of Gold permeated all around him.
It entrenched itself deep into his being, going even deeper into his Enneagram itself as intense processes erupted within it.
||Due to the empowerment of the Covenant of Gold, the Enneagram has unlocked new features.||
|||Ability Gem Design- Gold Series, is now available.||
||Gem Constellation Descent is now being designed under the joint cooperation of the authority of the Covenant of Gold and the Enneagram.||
…!
His mind was buzzing with shocking possibilities.
But he kept his face placid and calm as his Minions and Undead surrounded him, their bodies completing their own transformations at this time!
[You are a Summoner and Beast Tamer? Interesting. But so long as you are human, we can be considered allies. Tell me, just where are we?]
The gorgeous young woman, who looked to be in her mid-30s, gracefully landed down and looked over everything with calmness, the two old women behind her in white robes seeming more wizened and cautious as they followed her close behind.
Looking at her, Alexander gazed out to the shaking earth around the Sacred Mountain that continued to expand as he spoke slowly.
That they were in another world entirely- a world known as Ephesus! As for what was happening, he simply stated simple versions of what he knew, and he laced his words with the authority of a Ruler as he continued to gain proficiency in this.
[The fusion of worlds. Whatever your world was is now getting incorporated into Ephesus.]
…!
His words caused the eyes of these golden-skinned humans to experience a change of many emotions.
The young woman remained silent, but the old women behind her, who seemed to be Tier 9 Emperors, showed disbelief, grief, dejection, and acceptance all at once!
[I see.]
So she said.
The air of another Ruler around her was vibrant as she sighed and closed her hand into a fist, bringing it to her chest as she continued calmly.
[I am Ryanara Desmukes of the World of Alfana. One of its many, many Rulers who oversaw a small continent there. With this storm out there, the rest of my people scattered, and the scourge of Behemoths like that Black Dragon out there…would it be okay for us to seek shelter on your Mountain? Very few Rulers in the World of Alfana held the reigns of a Sacred Mountain, but those who did held a great deal of influence. I ask you this from one human to another.]
…!
She asked with a straight face and waited calmly.
And before Alexander replied…
[Oh, and if we come across any other Alfanian Humans- for them to seek shelter here too, temporarily as it may be until we truly understand what is happening out there. There are Rulers we can contend with, and then there are Enlightened Rulers who have entirely understood a Covenant and began assimilating it with their being who could crush us with a tap. There is strength and comfort in numbers…what say you, Ruler of the Gold Mountain?]
Her words contained many intricate secrets as well, with Alexander gazing at the wall of protective Minions and Undead Summons around him as he replied.
[Just call me Alexander. And so long as it is to seek shelter and work together to soft through chaos…I see no harm.]
There were too many unknowns.
Having some allies instead of enemies was good at a time when so many chaotic things were occurring!
The moment his words finished.
WAA!
The golden-skinned Ruler, Ryanara, smiled brilliantly in a way that could cause weak men to skip a breath.
She walked towards Alexander while nodding at the visage of Claire beside him whose blue eyes currently flashed with tendrils of gold- giving recognition to the other human here.
[Tell me about Ephesus. We'll have to be on guard for however long these lands decide to shake with their transformation along with whatever monstrosities may pop out, and the least we can do is pass the time with an exchange of information.]
She emanated grace and calm as her whole visage was easygoing, her beauty causing Anastasia and Claire to look at her closely with caution.
In the midst of figuring out his own transformation and understanding what a Covenant truly was, Alexander nodded toward this woman and selectively spoke about Ephesus while gathering information as well!
Minutes passed as Ephesus as a whole seemingly continued to tremble and expand.
Away from the Sacred Gold Mountain, the vast stretches of the earth were covered by a heavy gray mist as at this moment, space seemed to become destabilized in some regions as massive spatial cracks formed!
Within these cracks, a profound sense of danger spread out as the changes only continued. Explore more at empire
The density of Energeia only became more intense while the total number of lifeforms within Ephesus itself…rose by an alarming degree.
The auras of two Rulers on the Sacred Gold Mountain seemed to deter many of the roaring Beasts who managed to come even a few miles of it, and there were even three instances where a bestial aura of a Ruler had passed by dozens of miles away…and did not come near!
A whole hour passed just like this.
[So, the distinctions between Rulers are Land Rulers, Sky Rulers, and Void Rulers.]
Alexander asked as he sat on a small Mound of earth he had turned gold, Claire sitting beside him as she also looked curiously at Ryanara.
Around this area, the Undead Summons and Beast Minions were stationed throughout as they kept a tight perimeter in case any enemies came.
[Mmm, you and I can be considered Land Rulers. A single Covenant of Nature to our names, and we haven't even reached the halfway point in understanding one. Those more powerful than us are Sky Rulers who have entirely grasped a Covenant and bound it to their Gem Socket to start assimilating it, and Void Rulers…have completely assimilated an entire Covenant into their being!]
Ryanara spoke with eyes burning with hope and fervor.
[The reason for constant conflict and war is that it is very hard to gain a complete understanding of Covenants, much less entirely assimilate them. But…the Ruler's Gems and Covenant Gems are able to hasten such a process. And such things…are either found in extremely rare Sacred Mountains, or from the fallen bodies of Rulers.]
