THE ELECTRIC SLAYER

Ethan went to school today, feeling ready to take on any obstacle. As he was walking around the hallways to go to his class, he was overhearing some students talking about a new student.

Ethan's thoughts: "already? Minami just joined a few days ago…"

Ethan went into his class and sat on his desk, taking out his empty notebook and ripping out a page, folding it more and more until it looked like a paper fortune teller that every kid loves.

Except Ethan used the fortune teller to create a puppet instead, so he drew eyes on it, his drawing wasn't the best, so it wasn't asymmetrical. But it was good enough for Ethan.

Minami walked into the class and sat at her desk. She looked at Ethan and smiled, then back at the board. After some time, Minami noticed Ethan staring at her, so she just put her head on her desk and hid her blushing face with her arms.

Meanwhile, Ethan was staring at the window that was in Minami's direction; his thoughts were all about plans of what he wanted to do or not.

minami: "Uhm… You OK?"Ethan snaps from his trance and looks at Minami, who was peeking from her arms that were hiding most of her face.

Ethan: "Yeah, I am… why?"

minami: "You're staring a whole lot today…"

Ethan: "Just thinking… planning… You know… the usual"

Ethan smiled, his smile was not rare nor common, he only smiled around those he liked and he's close to, Minami saw Ethan's smile and somewhat calmed from her tense state.

Then the teacher walked in, and everyone stopped talking and went back to their seats. The teacher started the lesson, and Ethan was focused.

When it was lunch time, Ethan went to the cafeteria and sat at a table, eating his sandwich, then minami walked to him with her tray of school lunch, it didn't look appetizing at all, the meat was gray, and the mashed potatoes had random chunks of cheese, and the chicken sandwich didn't look bad.

minami: "Hey!"

Ethan: "Yo…"

Minami was oddly happy for some reason, and unfortunately, his friend was absent today, so Ethan was eating alone today, and as dense as Ethan was, he didn't know, and he didn't even think of it as a possibility.

minami: "So, uh… today I'm home alone, wanna come?"

Ethan: "Hmm?… uh… no thanks… I'm visiting my friend later, you know… check on him…"

Minami frowned and got up, She took her trey and walked away. Ethan was clueless as to why she got mad, but shrugged it off.

Meanwhile, Minami walked to her friends and sat at their table, groaning.

Minami's friend 1: "What's wrong?"

minami: "That idiot… I hate how he's just so clueless…"

Minami's friend 2: "Yeah, men are like that sometimes, but your guy is just on a different level."

minami: "I know… it makes me wanna punch him!"

Minami's friend 1: "Remember the last time that happened?"

minami: "yeah, I do… I got sent to the hospital…"

Ethan on the other hand was chilling at his table, he just finished his sandwich, he looked around and saw that some guys were looking at him with envy and jealousy, Ethan didn't get it and just got up, stretched a bit while yawning, then walked out the cafeteria to his class, some guys were walking and bumped into Ethan intentionally.

Guy 1: "Watch it, loser!"

Ethan stared at him with a disapproving stare, his face serious and a bit scary.

Guy 2: "Whoa… he's scary…"

Guy 1: "Oh come on, it's just an act, a loser like him won't do crap."

Guy 3: "But… look at his figure, dude, this guy looks like he exercises."

Ethan: "well… let me be honest… I don't…"

guy 1: "see? Like I said, just an act!"

Ethan watched as they all argued about whether they should fight Ethan or not…

Ethan: "You guys done? Let's get it over with, please. I have class to go to."The first guy tackled Ethan, but Ethan punched him away, and as he was about to attack again, he fell to the ground. He couldn't move. A familiar voice echoed in Ethan's head.

minami in Ethan's head: "Don't worry, I got them, you gotta calm down sometimes, fighting isn't always the answer…"

minami in her head: "at least when you aren't involved in a fight…"

minami held out her hand and the guys floated upwards, minami threw her hand aside and the guys all flew towards that direction, then she said "losers…", all the guys started to yell while holding their heads, like they are keeping their head from splitting apart.

from their point of view, the word "losers" was being repeated so many times and in such a loud volume that their head might explode.

Minami: "Don't ever touch him again…"

Minami put her hand down, and they all fell to the ground. The noises that they heard in their heads were now gone, but they didn't have the power to run, so they nodded in fear.

Minami: "Good."

Minami forgot to remove the muscle relaxation effect she put on Ethan, so all she heard from him was some mumbling.

minami: "Oh, sorry! Here you go!"

Ethan: "Thanks… You didn't have to… Traumatize them…. At least not that much…"

minami: "Oh… sorry!"

Ethan: "Why are you apologizing so much?"

Minami blushed and looked away before walking away.

Meanwhile, Ethan was just looking at her retreating form before walking to his class again.
