The Days of Being the Richest Man in the Ninja World

Chapter 501: Chapter 15. Bullying

[V3] - Chapter 15. Bullying

---

It's too infuriating!!!

If she had been directly rejected, that would've been fine.

She wouldn't have minded.

For someone like her, who had been on the run since childhood, being abandoned was nothing new. She had long been prepared for it.

In fact, when she was caught by the Marine Admiral—Aokiji—she had already considered leaving this place.

Although she felt great fear and terror inside!

And she still wanted to uncover true history… but being caught meant the end of all these years of running.

She was a bit tired too!

It wouldn't be bad for it all to end here!

Even though that black-hearted boss had withheld her pay, fed her big promises, and claimed he would "protect his employees," for someone like her—the World Government's wanted "Devil Child"—being protected wasn't something easy.

That phone call was meant to be a final gift, a gesture toward someone who wasn't part of a pirate group, a gift for that black-hearted boss.

To let him know a Marine Admiral had his eyes on him—he'd better run!

She believed that as long as a Marine Admiral called, that guy would understand.

After all, in this sea, the name of a Marine Admiral represented a terrifying monster.

Once a Marine Admiral targets you, it's extremely dangerous—especially here in Alabasta!

Here, a Poneglyph exists!

And yet!

What was that guy even saying!?

Too much bullying!

He said he'd only come after dinner to save her!

That's even more maddening than refusing to come save her at all!

If he had just abandoned her, Robin would have only felt a bit disappointed—but she wouldn't have said anything.

After all, it would've been understandable.

But that black-hearted bastard boss actually said he'd come later and she would have to wait until dinner?!

Robin instantly recalled that day… The promised fifty million, the "company housing upon hire," the benefits, the free medical coverage… and the result?

After agreeing to switch jobs, she ended up just being a mere intern, known as "Comrade Bin-chan"!

And to think, she had been working so hard all this time!

As expected—

A man's mouth is full of lies!

In that moment—

All the fear in her heart seemed to vanish.

She was filled with grievance!

The grievance outweighed fear!

She just wanted to drag that guy here and beat him up!

Thinking of everything from this time—

In a flash!

Nico Robin's eyelids twitched, her brows narrowed into slits, and she put on a forced, teeth-gritting smile. The fear, dread, and acceptance she had felt all seemed to vanish halfway. She looked at Aokiji and smiled sweetly, "Unlock me!"

"???" Aokiji was stunned for a second, then scratched his head helplessly, "Don't worry, I'll wait…"

"Unlock me right now!"

"I… Ah, alright~"

Marine Admiral—Aokiji—thought for a moment and decided it wasn't wise to provoke this seemingly enraged woman.

He quickly unlocked her handcuffs.

But then—

Just as they were opened—

"Give it to me!"

"???"

"Phone! I'll call my boss myself!" Robin smiled sweetly and reached out her hand. "His adorable employee has been caught by a Marine Admiral! This is really dangerous, you know~"

"…"

That dangerous expression made Aokiji hesitate not one bit—he handed over the phone right away without any hesitation.

Then—

Robin viciously snatched the phone and directly dialed the number. A glint of cold light flashed in her eyes, but her voice was extremely gentle: "Hello, boss? I'm currently—"

Before she could finish—

"I know, I know! I already said I'll come after dinner! What's the rush? Why are you urging me?"

The other side finished talking—

And hung up immediately.

"!!!"

Robin stared silently at the phone, then after a moment, slowly looked up at Aokiji in front of her.

However—

Aokiji felt it best not to get involved in this internal dispute between a Yuto Group employee and her boss, so he expressionlessly held out his hand, as if saying: [Please, go ahead!]

Upon seeing that, Robin took a deep breath and dialed again. Still smiling with clenched teeth, she said, "I—"

Again, she was cut off—

"I told you to not urge me! I'm about to eat! About to eat!"

"…"

This guy.

No doubt about it!

He is an accomplice of the Devil Child!

He and Nico Robin had already been working together for years—he must be taken back to the World Government along with her.

Comrade Bin-chan twitched at the corner of her mouth, thinking angrily inside.

She had clearly already accepted her fate, but this guy had to irritate her at a time like this—and not even let her finish a sentence!

Too bullying!

Her brows twitched again as she looked out the window at the slowly setting sun.

One quarter-hour passed!

Two quarters passed!

Half an hour passed!

An hour passed!

Then she expressionlessly dialed again, "Are you… ever coming to rescue me or not?"

"I'm coming! I'm coming! Just putting on my shoes! Very soon! Very soon!"

And then he hung up again.

At that moment—

After hearing "very soon," Robin's heart actually calmed down. Her eyes looked at the phone with a complex expression, a trace of anticipation in her heart: [That guy… is he really going to come?]

She couldn't figure out whether she wanted him to come… or didn't want him to anymore.

Meanwhile—

Aokiji, lounging in the boss's chair with his feet on the table, leisurely sipped milk tea. And truth be told… the milk tea really was quite good!

But now that an hour had passed… it was finished. He looked at the sun outside, then back at Nico Robin who was pacing around with a conflicted and hopeful look at her phone.

He figured he'd wait a bit longer.

But—

Now that the milk tea was gone, he was a little bored!

Maybe… take a nap first?

Just as he was about to pull down his eye mask and rest, he noticed a flyer nearby. He blinked, then grabbed the Den Den Mushi and dialed the number shown on the flyer.

Soon after—

The Den Den Mushi transformed into one wearing a Yuto Group food service hat and said: "Hello, this is Yuto Milk Tea. How may I help you?"

"One peach milk cap, one black tea milk cap, and an order of signature fried chicken. Please send it to…" Aokiji frowned and thought for a second, "Please deliver it to the top floor of the Rain Dinners!"

"Got it! Please wait! We'll prepare your order right away!"

With that—

The call ended.

Aokiji nodded in satisfaction, put his feet up again, hands behind his head, watching Robin pace back and forth.

Not long after—

Roughly half an hour passed.

Knock knock~

A knock came from the door, followed by a confused voice: "Isn't this where the boss and Miss Robin are working? Did the boss order food? Has he come back?"

Before the words finished—

Aokiji opened the door directly without bothering Robin. He smiled and took the delivery. "I'm your boss's guest. He'll send the payment later!"

Then he closed the door, leaving behind a bewildered delivery guy.

Who was that?

Where's Miss Robin?

Why's there a strange man inside?!

But hearing it was the boss's guest, he didn't think much of it. He scratched his head and left. "Whatever, I'll tell the manager later!"

On the other side.

After picking up the takeout, Aokiji's mood noticeably improved. He placed the food on the table, eagerly opened it, and as he smelled the delicious fried chicken, the smile on his face deepened. "This Yuto Group's stuff isn't bad at all!"

You have to understand—

He was a Marine Admiral!

Normally, he wouldn't waste time queuing for anything. And yet, here in Alabasta, he actually spent time lining up for milk tea?!

If people heard that, they probably wouldn't believe it.

Lying back in the boss's chair, he began to enjoy the milk tea and fried chicken. Glancing at Robin, who continued to pace around and ignore him, he shook his head helplessly. "How about eating a little first?" he whistled. "You know, once you're handed over to the World Government, you won't get to eat this stuff again~"

"…"

Robin's eyelid twitched. Seeing the Admiral leisurely eating, her heart froze for a moment, and fear began to rise again.

But then she recalled that phone call.

Forget it.

The fear in her heart once again faded.

So what if he comes?

There's no way he could rescue someone from a Marine Admiral.

Still fuming, she walked over and grabbed the black tea milk cap.

Then—

She continued staring at her phone, waiting for him.

Meanwhile, Aokiji leisurely munched on his fried chicken.

Very soon—

Another hour passed.

The sky outside began to darken. Aokiji gave a full burp, wiped his mouth, and smiled. "Your boss sure takes his time to eat!"

"That guy!" Robin's eyes dimmed. At this point, her heart calmed again. She hesitated slightly, then dialed the number again, speaking with a complicated expression: "You…"

A slight pause.

"Are you coming or not?"

"I'm coming! I'm coming! Just putting on my shoes!"

"…Weren't you already putting on your shoes earlier?"

"Oh oh oh—misspoke! I'm on my way now, almost there! Don't rush me!"

Beep beep~

"That bastard!!!" The calm in her heart was instantly consumed by rage again. Her gritted-teeth expression returned. Glaring fiercely at Aokiji, Miss Robin growled, "Before I leave, please let me beat that guy up good!"

"…" Aokiji's mouth twitched slightly but still nodded. "Got it."

Then—

Another hour passed.

Still no one came.

Robin sighed inwardly, a flicker of disappointment in her eyes. She shook her head. "Forget it. Let's go."

He…

Was probably just lying to her.

That's right.

After all, this was a Marine Admiral!

But—

It's still so infuriating!

Looking at Aokiji nearby, she said seriously, "Can you personally beat him up for me later… and bring me a photo?"

As soon as she finished—

Aokiji stood up, stretched lazily, and was just about to nod in agreement when—

Suddenly.

A door appeared.

And from behind it came a voice: "What's the rush? What's the rush? I said I'd come after dinner! What's the big hurry?!"

"?!" x2

The two of them were instantly stunned and turned together toward the door. Then… Robin raised an eyebrow, her heart trembling slightly, and that terrifyingly sweet smile reappeared on her face. She rolled up her sleeves. "You bastard!!!"

Just as she was about to charge over and give that jerk a solid beating—

Suddenly.

As she reached the door—

Several figures emerged from the other side. Leading them… was that infuriating boss.

Only—

He was carrying one little girl in his arms, while two more clung tightly to his pant legs at his feet. Behind him followed five other figures!

Among them, three looked very similar, all wearing green bodysuits—though one of them… was in a wheelchair.

Of course—

Robin didn't pay much attention to the five in the back. She was momentarily stunned as she looked at the three little girls surrounding the boss.

"They…"

"My daughters!" Yuto rolled his eyes and replied with a huff. "Seriously! I said I'd be there soon and you still called so many times!"

"You…" At this point, Robin didn't seem angry anymore. She looked at Yuto with a complicated expression.

She was reminded of her childhood. Of the parents who had abandoned her. And then… of her years wandering the seas.

Only—

These three adorable little girls were even younger than she had been back then.

"I didn't expect you to actually come."

"Didn't you tell me to come?"

"You shouldn't have," Robin said softly, shaking her head. "Take care of the kids. Leave quickly. I've already betrayed you." Saying this, she turned toward Aokiji. "I agree to your—"

Before she could finish—

Yuto grabbed her and shoved the little girl with the backpack—Yumi—into her arms. "Watch them for me. If anything happens, I'll deduct your salary and extend your internship period~"

"You—! Do you even know he's a Marine Admiral?!" Robin gave him an exasperated look as she held the little girl, whose strange white eyes shyly stared up at her. "Take your daughters out of here!"

"Yes, yes~" Yuto waved his hand dismissively. Then he yanked over Obito, who had tried to slip away, and proudly introduced him, "Let me introduce you! This is my son! I may just be a humble businessman, but my son here is really impressive! Go on! Show them how fierce you can be!"

"…Get lost!"
