The crimson princess

Chapter 136: Goodbye my Friends

Pov Dia,

I started the day as usual, this time being woken up by Rain and Misery, with whom I had spent the night.

They helped me get dressed, as I'm starting to want to sleep without constantly being on guard, even though Scathach-sensei taught me how to do so.

Afterward, I brought them with me to my office to handle the day's administrative tasks.

On the way, I passed several maids and butlers, all diligently attending to the roles assigned to them by Rimuru and Diablo.

When I arrived at my office, I noticed Testarossa had already started working. I greeted her with a kiss on the lips before heading to my desk, where Rimuru was waiting for me with a tray of small snacks and tea.

Rimuru: "Did you sleep well, Dia-sama?"

Dia: "It was a good night."

I kissed her on the lips before settling down to begin my administrative work.

There was a report from Shadow Garden, whose members had to increase to 10,000. This report detailed the crime rate in my territory, which was very low. The most serious crimes were being committed by non-residents of the territory.

I do not want to sound prejudiced, but at the same time, they make no effort, even though the crime rate has decreased since I decapitated the heirs of the pillar houses.

No one enters my territory and causes trouble without being punished.

As I looked at the criminal list, I received a telepathic call from Amaterasu.

Dia: "Hi, Ama. Are you here to take your revenge against me?"

Amaterasu: "I'll warn you—it was only thanks to your surprise attack that I lost. But I'm not here to talk about that; I want to discuss a very serious matter."

I continued fighting the other nine who were stronger, and I started to secure some victories for my record. However, I still want to defeat Scathach-sensei and make her bite the dust.

But the moment was not right to dwell on my defeats and victories.

Dia: "Now I'm afraid of what you're going to say."

Amaterasu: "Inari and Kurama were murdered by the Onmyōji."

My heart stopped as my pen and papers fell from my hands, and tears began to form in my eyes.

Rimuru: "Dia-sama, are you okay?"

Rimuru was the first to react, but the others also seemed concerned about me.

Dia: "Rimuru, go to Sera and bring her to Inari and Kurama. They were both murdered."

Being the perfect maid, she did not react outwardly, but I knew she was also devastated.

Rimuru: "As you wish, Dia-sama."

She teleported while I stood up and headed to Kyoto.

Dia: "Keep working; I probably won't be around for a few days."

I had to take care of Yasaka, who, at only ten years old, now had to endure the pain of losing her loved ones.

I teleported directly into UraKyoto, the area reserved for Youkai.

Guard: "Stop, no one can enter to see Yasaka-sama."

I didn't even have the energy to start proving my identity to the guard, so I used my aura and killing intent on them, which made them faint.

I knew where Yasaka would be—probably in the garden where her ancestor is buried.

Arriving a few meters from the garden, I saw a Youkai tengu bow before me.

Dia: "How is Yasaka?"

Tengu: "She's not well. She has been staying at her parents' grave since they were buried."

I supposed they were assassinated a few days ago, but because of the dimensional barrier, Amaterasu only managed to contact me half an hour ago.

Dia: "I'm going to console her. Tell Rimuru and Sera to wait a little."

I was the closest to Yasaka apart from her parents, so I think she will want to see me first and share her grief before seeing anyone else.
