Chapter 227: Stuffing Gifu {135}
Gifu chuckled softly, the grin on his face was now growing wider and wider by the second. "Very well," He declared, his voice filled with amusement.
It was like a toddler getting to play with his new toys. "Let's get started."
As those words left his mouth, Aaron focused intensely, he gazed at the colors around Gifu's body, he could see the colors.
He would only be able to feel a person's ability through his insanely busted senses, however, he could now see them too.
From the way the wind blew on his visor to the way sound moved through the air, to even how humid it was. All of this was telling him if there was any anomaly in the air.
In an instant, he closed the distance between himself and Gifu, his sword drawn, he had imbued the sword with about 6 months' worth of energy.
Those little stones he had been storing energy in this whole time were proving quite useful. Without wasting a second, Aaron launched a flurry of precise yet devasting attacks at Gifu's weak points, or where his weak points should be.
As he went for a slash for the head of the beast, he saw it, what seemed to be a small black orb of death running toward him, he could see it from the orb...if it had touched him, it would warp the reality around in such a way that he would die a gruesome death.
The second he saw it...no the second his body sensed it, it immediately jumped away from the orb, Aaron's eyes gazed at Gifu from a safe enough distance as the being looked relatively amused.
Gifu started laughing, his laughter echoed through the sky as he saw that Aaron could see his attacks.
"To think... you can see my attacks coming," Gifu mused, thoroughly entertained by Aaron's performance. "How fun."
Aaron did not say much, his eyes going through all the options he had available which were not enough.
He needed a plan.... a solid one.
Aaron knew that considering that Gifu was handing out overpowered ability away like candy, he was most likely very busted himself, he needed to find a way to fight that couldn't be predicted.
He probably had some bullshit power like seeing the future, considering Aaron just finished reading Bleach, he hoped that this beast power wasn't like the almighty from the Quincy king.
As the sky crackled with their energy and the world trembled around them, Aaron's mind raced to concoct something Gifu couldn't foresee.
As he dodged another reality-warping attack from Gifu, an idea popped into his head.
Aaron plunged downward at full speed, he didnt care that the impact from the drop might create an explosion big enough to destroy a small neighborhood, he had a plan.
At the last second, before he hit the floor, he veered off, only hitting the ground with his palm, the impact caused some seismic shockwave through the pavement.
The entire city block shook, and the resulting cracks on the concrete floor could be seen going out in all directions.
Gifu grinned, unimpressed. "You think breaking the ground will change anything?"
Aaron's smirk, hidden beneath his visor, grew wider. 'No, it won't,' he thought. "But I'm not done yet." He added
He hit the cracked concrete again with even more force, this time causing entire chunks of buildings and roads to split off and float in the air.
They hovered as if gravity had given up, suspended by sheer chaos. Aaron shot upward again, using these floating chunks of debris-like platforms, springing from one to another, his sword glinting as he moved.
He knew that there were people in the building, however, that did not matter now, they would have survived, he just needed to use the debris as a distraction for something.
Aaron swung from a collapsing light pole, ricocheting off a bus as it tumbled through the air, he then proceeded to kick off the side of a building that had been launched into the air due to the seismic disruption he had created.
His movements were pretty chaotic, he didnt want to leave room for any reason in his reasoning.
Gifu narrowed his eyes a bit, his eyes going through countless possibilities, noticing countless futures.... Every single one of them had a different ending.
So whatever Aaron was doing now was truly up to chance, how funny.
But that wasn't the end.
With all the debris floating around, he had the perfect cover for what he planned to do next, as Gifu launched what seemed to be a slash at him, Aaron dodged out of the way, pulled out his sword, and launched a slash at Gifu.
The being just casually dodged out of the way of the attack.
"That was a pathetic attempt," Gifu said coldly unphased by the attack.
"I wasn't aiming for you dumbass"
The very next second, a billboard slammed down with a deafening crash, its gaudy advertisements flickered as they tumbled down.
Gifu grunted in mild annoyance, however, the damage dealt by it wasn't that much.
A thought went through Gifu's mind....why couldn't he see that future, upon trying to open his eyes to see more, he felt what seemed to be something blocking his sight.
A sword of light was all he saw, was he being restricted?
But Aaron wasn't counting on the billboard to do damage—it was bait.
With lightning speed, Aaron warped through the collapsing debris, using the power imbued into this suit to make his way right behind Gifu, Just as Gifu turned to counter, Aaron swung his blade—not at Gifu, but at a nearby fire hydrant.
The water pressure exploded from it like a geyser, but Aaron's suit amplified it further, twisting the column of water into a high-speed projectile. The water shot up with enough force to smash into Gifu's face, blinding him momentarily.
Usually, the beast could shrug off a little water easily....however, this water imbued with that energy. The water burned like no other, it was like drenching a vampire in holy water.
Aaron didn't give him a second to recover. He darted through the chaos again, kicking off the side of a taxi that had been thrown into the air by the initial impact. As the car spun, Aaron grabbed hold of the door, flinging it like a discus toward Gifu, using the environment itself as a weapon in ways no one could anticipate. The car door whirled through the air, Gifu dodging it with a lazy swipe, but the unpredictability of Aaron's attacks was beginning to frustrate him.
The true brilliance was yet to come.
Aaron teleported to the roof of a nearby skyscraper, his feet barely touching down before he grabbed a dangling electrical cable from a broken transformer. Sparks danced wildly around the cable as he leaped back into the fray, swinging it like a whip.
The erratic, live-wire attack caught Gifu off guard, the electrical current forcing him to block instinctively. Aaron capitalized on the split-second distraction, using the spinning wreckage around him as improvised weapons—anything that wasn't bolted down became a projectile.
But the real coup de grâce was born of sheer madness.
Aaron grabbed a massive construction crane that had been knocked loose from the chaos below.
'anti-gravity sure is nifty...I feel like I am holding a feather' Aaron thought to himself as he the crane.
With Gifu focused on blocking the electrical whip, Aaron sent the crane swinging in a wide arc, the steel behemoth tearing through the air like an unstoppable battering ram. As the crane swung, Aaron teleported above Gifu, releasing a barrage of attacks from every direction, driving him toward the path of the swinging crane.
Just as Gifu prepared to bend reality once more, a glass fell on Gifu...a glass imbued with that energy...as Gifu pondered where that glass came from, Aaron's eyes just glinted a bit with mischievousness.
"Kabom"
*Kabom*
Just as the shard of glass exploded some of the pieces ended in Gifu's eyes.
The crane smashed into Gifu with a bone-shaking impact, sending him flying into the distance.
Aaron looked at his shaking hands, he then gazed at all the buildings and stuff still in the air due to the anti-gravity tech.
Next second before he could react...he was punched so hard, that he felt as if every single bone in his body was about to get shattered.
Getting sent flying through 15 buildings was not what he was planning to do today but here we are.
Gifu's smile was cruel as he watched Aaron struggle to rise from the rubble, the dust and debris settling around him like a mockery of the once-intact city. Aaron's visor flickered with warnings, his suit systems struggling to cope with the massive damage dealt by Gifu's last hit. The HUD in his mask kept blinking: Suit efficiency at 50%.
One punch...one fucking punch and this suit was already brought down to only 50%....what the actual fuck.
Aaron groaned, wiping the blood from his lip. His body had slammed into fifteen houses, smashing through walls like a rag doll, and his ribs screamed in pain with every breath. 'Why didn't I stay home and enjoy some damn sweets?' he thought bitterly, but there was no turning back now.
"You're a feisty coochi," Aaron grunted, forcing himself to stand on shaky legs. Despite the pain, a crooked grin spread across his face.
Gifu merely smiled back, his eyes glowing with dark amusement. The sheer malice emanating from him felt like a tangible force, warping reality around them. "I have to admit," Gifu said, his voice cold and mocking, "you're more entertaining than I expected. But this little game of yours is about to end."
Aaron spat out some blood, stretching his neck. "Yeah, well, I've got a habit of dragging things out."
Gifu raised his hand, bending the air around him as if reality itself was being twisted. The sky darkened, and the buildings that had already crumbled seemed to buckle further, as though gravity itself was bending to Gifu's will. Aaron could feel the weight of the world pressing down on him—literally.
But Aaron wasn't done. Not by a long shot.
"Alright, coochy-sama," Aaron muttered, his fingers twitching as he felt the remnants of his suit's systems still online. "If we're playing dirty, then let's play."
He raised his arm, and with a loud mechanical hiss, his gauntlet opened up to reveal a compartment. A small, glowing orb hovered out, pulsating with raw energy—an emergency power core. He slammed it into his suit, and immediately, the visor flared to life with a new readout: System Override: Maximum Power Output Unlocked. Efficiency Boost: 20%.
He wasn't back to 100%, but it was something.
Plus he needed the powerup anyway, if he wanted to survive another punch.
The orb's energy surged through him, repairing parts of the suit and feeding directly into his damaged systems. Aaron could feel the raw power flowing back into his limbs, and though the pain lingered, he smirked. "Guess I'm running on borrowed time again."
Gifu cocked his head slightly, intrigued. "You just don't know when to quit."
Aaron flashed a grin. "At least I am not a predator....out here grooming kids to be your bribe, talking about preordering"
He coughs up some blood.
Without warning, Aaron launched forward, his speed blurring as he closed the distance between them. He swung his sword with lightning speed, aiming for Gifu's chest. Gifu easily blocked, his arm stopping the blade in mid-air as if it were nothing.
But Aaron anticipated this.
In an instant, he teleported behind Gifu, slamming his knee into Gifu's back with all the force he could muster. Gifu barely flinched, but Aaron wasn't done. He warped again, to the side, then above—attacking from multiple angles in rapid succession, trying to keep Gifu off balance. Each strike was met with the same cold resistance, but Aaron was aiming for something else.
He could feel the environment shifting again, reality-warping under Gifu's control. Buildings twisted and bent like melted plastic, roads coiled up like serpents, all obeying Gifu's will.
But it didnt matter to him as he could see where was Gifu zone was and avoid those zones.
As long as he played it safe, he might survive this.
As Gifu bent reality, Aaron activated the teleportation function of his suit, warping into positions even Gifu couldn't predict. His movements were so erratic that even reality itself seemed to lag, unable to adjust to the sheer insanity of his approach. And then, as he dodged a crushing blow from Gifu's reality-bending fist, Aaron did the unthinkable.
He hurled himself through the air—straight into a collapsing building.
The massive structure crumbled around him, concrete and steel buckling under Gifu's power, but Aaron wasn't running. He wasn't hiding. He was positioning.
Using the falling debris as cover, Aaron teleported once more, reappearing above Gifu—high enough that he was nearly out of sight. He slammed into the earth with a titanic force, sending a shockwave through the ground, disrupting Gifu's manipulation of reality.
Gifu turned, just as Aaron emerged from the dust cloud, brandishing a street lamp he had torn from the ground like a makeshift spear. He hurled it at Gifu, but as expected, Gifu casually deflected it.
But that was the trap.
The street lamp collided with an exposed electrical grid Aaron had noticed earlier. Sparks exploded, and the raw electricity surged toward Gifu, latching onto him like a magnet. For a moment, Gifu's control over reality faltered, just enough for Aaron to close the gap.
Wait...his control over reality falters...he has full control over that shit...who in the actual fuck was nerfing him...as he thought those thoughts, he saw the blade once again, however, this time he could barely make the figure of a girl holding it.
In a split-second decision, Aaron used the chaos to teleport directly in front of Gifu, driving his sword into Gifu's chest with everything he had. The blade didn't cut as deep as he'd hoped, but it was enough to draw blood—enough to make Gifu feel it.
Gifu snarled in surprise and anger, his smile gone, replaced with fury. Aaron, panting, grinned back.
"So what do you think of my bull, I think I went pretty deep," Aaron said with a smile.
"I had better," The beast said to which Aaron pouted.
"Rate the load though...."
"Rate the what??" Gifu tried to say but before he could finish his sentence, Aaron had already sent about 3 months' worth of energy into the tip of his blade and released it all into Gifu in one big final load.
Aaron fell ball to the ground as his sword went deeper into Gifu, and his bull went deeper into the coochie before going out from the back and flying off.
Gifu chuckle a bit, coughing up some blood.
"Didnt think you were a quick shot..."
...
...
"I can go on for hours."
"Fantastic, I don't like when my toys break" The beast added.
A/N They are still fighting for anyone wondering.
