Chapter 16: Chapter 17: Their moment (cont)
As they sat together on the bench, Aiden's voice took on a soothing quality, his words gentle and calming. "Why don't you sleep for a bit, Kaiden?" he suggested, his eyes warm with concern. "You can rest your head on my lap, and I'll sing to you."
Kaiden's eyes fluttered closed, his body relaxing into the offer. He felt Aiden's hands guide his head onto his lap, and then his fingers began to stroke his hair, the touch sending shivers down his spine.
Aiden's voice rose and fell in a gentle melody, the words indistinguishable but the soothing quality of the sound unmistakable. Kaiden felt his mind begin to drift, his thoughts untangling as the tension in his body eased.
As he floated on the edge of sleep, Kaiden's hand instinctively went to the pendant around his neck, the one Mark had given him as a token of luck. He felt a sudden urge to share this symbol of protection with Aiden, to give him something that would keep him safe.
Without thinking, he reached up and unfastened the pendant around his neck , his fingers brushing against Aiden's as he handed it to him. Aiden's eyes met his, surprise and gratitude shining in their depths.
As his eyes drifted closed, he felt Aiden's fingers wrap around the pendant, holding it close. His singing grew softer, the words becoming indistinguishable as Kaiden's mind floated off into the dream world.
All his troubled thoughts, all his fears and doubts, seemed to fade away as he slipped into the realm of the subconscious. He felt himself becoming one with the universe, his spirit merging with the natural world.
In this dream state, Kaiden felt free, unencumbered by the burdens of his waking life. He felt Aiden's presence around him, a gentle, guiding force that kept him safe and grounded.
As he drifted deeper into the dream world, Kaiden knew that he was exactly where he needed to be – in Aiden's care, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature, and wrapped in the comforting scent of the omega's presence.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the garden, Kaiden and Aiden both succumbed to their exhaustion. They both fell asleep wrapped in each other's arms, their bodies entwined as they rested on the bench.
Kaiden was the first to wake up, his eyes fluttering open as he took in the peaceful surroundings. His gaze fell upon Aiden's sleeping face, and he was once again mesmerized by his beauty. His eyes roamed over Aiden's features, taking in the gentle curve of his nose, the softness of his lips, and the delicate shape of his eyebrows.
Kaiden knew that he couldn't get tired of looking at Aiden. He felt a deep sense of possessiveness wash over him, a desire to keep Aiden safe and shield him from the harmful things in the world.
As Kaiden's fingers brushed against his face, Aiden eyes began to flutter open. His gaze met Kaiden's, and he felt his heart skipping a beat. He was also mesmerized by Kaiden's beauty, his eyes drawn to the strong lines of his face, his hazel eyes, and the soft, inviting curve of his lips.
Their eyes locked, and for a moment, everything seemed to stand still. Kaiden's gaze dipped to Aiden's lips, and he felt an overwhelming urge to kiss him. Aiden, sensing Kaiden's intentions, felt his heart racing with excitement.
Without another moment's hesitation, Kaiden leaned in, his lips brushing against Aiden's in a soft, gentle kiss. Aiden's lips parted, and Kaiden's tongue slipped inside, deepening the kiss.
The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the magic of their first kiss. Kaiden felt like he was drowning in Aiden's sweetness, his senses overwhelmed by Aiden's scent, taste, and touch.
Aiden, on the other hand, felt like he was soaring, his heart lifted by the gentle, loving pressure of Kaiden's lips. He felt a deep sense of connection to the alpha, a sense of belonging that he had never experienced before.
As they broke apart for air, Aiden's eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint. Without hesitation, he leaned in again, his lips meeting Kaiden's in a second, more passionate kiss.
Kaiden felt lightheaded, his senses reeling from the intensity of their connection. His wolf howled in triumph, sensing that it had found its perfect match. Aiden's wolf, too, seemed to be singing in harmony, their hearts beating as one.
As they kissed, Kaiden felt his control slipping. He was torn between his desire to claim Aiden as his own and the knowledge that they were both still young and needed time to grow.
With a Herculean effort, Kaiden pulled back, his chest heaving with exertion. Aiden's eyes sparkled with confusion, but Kaiden just smiled and took his hand.
"Let's take things slow , I want to get to know you a lot more better , can I keep seeing you, Aiden,?" Kaiden asked , his voice low and sincere. "I know we're both still young, but I feel a connection with you that I've never felt with anyone else."
Aiden's face lit up with a radiant smile. "I feel it too, Kaiden," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'd like to also know you more better . Let's keep in touch and see where things go."
Kaiden grinned, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. He knew that their journey together would be long and winding, but he was eager to see where it would take them.
